They fail to mention the handful of sodomites who lied to the campus police and accused us of threatening people, not to mention that they were furious when they saw our anti-homo banner. Today (9/11) was an entirely different story - we preached with liberty for 5 hours and no interruptions. The "HOMO-SEX IS A THREAT TO NATIONAL SECURITY" banner was very effective. (A big thanks to DC for that one!)

Kicking Soulwinners off of campus hurts UNC's imagemedia.www.dailytarheel.com/media/storage/paper885/news/2007/09/12/LettersToTheEditor/Kicking.Soulwinners.Off.Of.Campus.Hurts.Uncs.Image-2962554.shtmlIssue date: 9/12/07 Section: Letters to the Editor TO THE EDITOR: We cannot ban (Soulwinners Ministries International) from campus again. We have already undermined our moral authority as guardians of civil liberties and democracy by threatening these evangelists with arrest. If we do this again, we will no longer be able to say that UNC is a liberal campus that protects free speech. Soulwinners' right-wing political allies will then have one more piece of evidence that proves to them that liberal entities such as Carolina's campus oppress and persecute Christians. They have already used this argument against the American Civil Liberties Union in the national debates about prayer in public schools and the display of nativity scenes on public property. Through their hateful doctrines, the evangelists might then provoke us into being unwilling and unable to guarantee one of our own ideals: freedom of speech. As to their slander and libel, it is up to the groups of people whom the evangelists have smeared to form a counter-demonstration or else to sue the evangelists themselves. What a warped way of thinking. First she tries to defend the freedom of speech for the Christian Evangelist and then she advises that the people offended should sue him! Such is the liberal thinking of the world we live in!

Here is the original article. I might also add that we spent the next 3 days preaching in the pit without interruption to huge crowds. Most were under heavy conviction, and the preaching was very powerful.
Again, this is all because some sodomites were very angry that we were there with our banners, and they lied to the campus police.
This campus is ripe for a move of the Holy Spirit. I met some young men from a local Bible college who were witnessing at a Raleigh mall on Friday night (9/14) and I encouraged them to go out and start preaching at UNC.
ARTICLE
CORRECTION: Due to an editing error, Tuesday's front-page story "Evangelists escorted off campus" incorrectly identified the day evangelists with Soulwinners Ministries International were told to leave campus. The group was told to leave Monday afternoon. The Daily Tar Heel apologizes for the error.
A group of evangelists was forced to leave campus Thursday afternoon when University police determined that the group posed a threat to campus safety.
Michael Venyah, founder of Soulwinners Ministries International, said he and others from the organization were told to leave campus or they would be arrested for trespassing.
Venyah and the others had set up signs next to the Student Union and Lenoir Dining Hall and began to preach against homosexuality, masturbation and premarital sex.
The group held signs with provocative messages, such as "Homo sex is a threat to national security" and "Satan says that God loves everyone."
"At some point the conversation became more heated between students and the group," said Randy Young, spokesman for the Department of Public Safety.
"It was decided that it was better for the safety for all involved that these folks relocate," Young said. "They were asked to relocate for the protection of them and the students."
Junior Amanda Barbee, who saw the signs and listened to the preaching for a few minutes, said she's glad they left but doesn't necessarily agree with the decision to remove them.
"We hear a lot of offensive stuff, but it depends what you consider offensive," Barbee said. "Some people might find it offensive, and there are probably some people who would agree and not find it offensive at all."
Venyah said he didn't understand why he was asked to leave.
"They said they couldn't guarantee our security, but there was no threat to security," Venyah said. "We were just preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Some people will oppose; some will agree."
As the group began to walk off campus, Venyah prayed aloud for the University to be open to free speech.
"Our officers, on a case-by-case basis, will look to protect free speech up until the point the University's operations are compromised or individuals' safety comes into question," Young said.
Last spring, Gary Birdsong, known as the Pit Preacher, was issued a trespass warning for refusing to vacate the Pit when a student organization had reserved it. Because he refused to move, Birdsong was banned from the Pit for two years.
To guarantee a spot in the Pit, a group or speaker must have a permit.
Venyah also began preaching in the Pit, but when administrators told him a group had reserved that area until 2 p.m., he moved.
Young said that because Venyah relocated when officers told him to, he and the others from Soulwinners Ministries weren't cited.
"They are welcome to get a permit and come back tomorrow," Young said.
And Venyah said he does plan to return to campus today.
Soulwinners Ministries' presence at UNC is part of its "Save Our Students" initiative, which began last year. The group traveled to 64 campuses in 27 states.
Venyah said that the group aims to dislodge college students' misconceptions about the gospel and that they aren't always met with open arms. "Preaching Jesus and living by Jesus is unfortunately very hard everywhere."

But Jessie
If you don't get the souls you claim to the water of regeneration, YOU ARE FAILING YOUR MISSION. You are only teaching not truely ministering.
One cannot put on the full armor of God and claim to forget to put on the breastplate of righeousness. One either preaches the full lesson by the spirit of God or is missing the importance of preaching to begin with.
