I've been amazed to see so many here rejecting the doctrine of the Trinity. I thought I would take a poll to get an idea of how many here reject this doctrine.

I was also amazed to see the rejection of the Trinity on these boards.
As a new convert, I throughly studied the topic of the Trinity because I was debating Jehovah Witnesses who came to my house once a week. I was able to examine the Scriptures for the deity of Jesus and the personality of the Holy Spirit, both of which the Jehovah Witnesses denied.
The Trinity, as I understand it, is three Divine Persons who are in perfect unity. It is a tri-unity. These three Divine Persons, Father - Son - Holy Spirit, are one in essence and one in purpose. They are distinct but not separate.
The Father is God. The Son is God. The Spirit is God.
The Father is not the Son. The Son is not the Spirit. The Spirit is not the Father or the Son. The Son is not the Spirit or the Father. The Father is not the Spirit or the Son. Etc.
Within God, there is a plurality of personalities but a oneness of essence and purpose.

The Trinity is Biblical, but that is kind of like saying that salvation is Biblical. Understanding what the Trinity is, is the key, just like understanding what salvation is.
Most folks will agree that the Trinity is foundational to the Christian faith, but then they go on to describe something totally different. Seeing the inconsistencies of those defending the doctrine of the Trinity, a few folks reject it outright. I am not at all surprised to see some people here rejecting this doctrine, as it is rarely taught or explained logically or biblically.
That said, rejecting the Trinity is a dangerous position to take.

My understanding is similar to what is see written here. One God manifested in three personality’s Father ,Son ,Holy Ghost each has a separate personality and are “one God“. The balance appears to me to be in giving “equality to the individuality of three personality’s “ and “oneness of essence and purpose“. When the balance is offset it ends in either oneness denying individuality or tritheism to the point of extreme separation . This brings a interesting experience into light I was around a oneness teacher for a while who witnessed to trinity Christians in public and saw about 50 percent deny Jesus was God. “I heard them say Jesus was only the son but never God, only the Father is.” I don’t know if this 50 percent rule would apply always but at that time it seemed that about half of people defending the doctrine of Trinity denied Jesus was God manifest in the flesh. What seemed to bring this on was the fact they were defending the doctrine of trinity against someone who was saying there is not three Gods just one. and point blank asking them is Jesus God?
(The other 50 percent believed what I understand as correct.. Trinity is biblical)
I don’t see much discussion of what would constitute tritheism. could trinity be defined as God manifesting Himself in three ways such as the old egg idea that they are always part of each other.. Or should it be defined as three persons like three people in unity such as the three musketeers, I noticed Dake ( Dake’s bible) has been accused of this to the degree it reaches tritheism
