8-)Each city has amplification/sound ordinances. I have been researching and found this sight: www.municode.com/Resources/OnlineLibrary.aspSo you search by your state then city. Then search by the words sound or amplification and you will find the laws that you need. Then print them out and bring them with you and your amplifier to preach. When you get to the event/street approach the highest ranked police officer and begin inform him of your intentions for the night and your desire to be law abiding. Please make sure you have an audio/video device going. Tonight this was our first time using this tactic and came away with the Lord's favor, Hallelujah! We preached for about 4 hours with amplification and actually went overtime and the police did not shut us down. It was great, it is nice to overcome the street/festival noises with a bit of joyful noise unto the Lord.

That's pretty good for electronice amplification...
A great way to get around this if you're running into difficulty is to use old fashioned amplification... like the megaphones you can buy for football games... you can even order the big 2 or 3 foot ones. They are not electronic and their amplification is limited compared to a bullhorn - but it can still be effective. ;-)

Well, it looks like it's pretty much illegal to use amplification or even raise your voice in my area: Noise disturbance means any sound which annoys or disturbs, or which causes or tends to cause an adverse psychological or physiological effect upon, the sensibilities of a reasonable, prudent, adult person; and unreasonably loud or disturbing noise which renders the enjoyment of life or property uncomfortable or interferes with public peace and comfort.

Many of these ordinances are so unconstitutional.
That's basically giving permission for the law to shut you down if someone says they don't like what you're saying.
