Thursday, September 25 2008 University of North Carolina Pembroke:
It rained somewhat heavily this morning, and with so many clouds it looked as if it was going to rain all day. I began preaching at 12pm, in spite of very high wind gusts, slight drizzle and very little foot traffic. I preached on this campus the first day of classes this year and had a good meeting.
For the first hour only about 15 - 20 students listened and asked questions several feet away, most appeared shocked as I preached against follywood movies, cancer sticks, cheerleading outfits, Walt Disney and bar hopping. At around 1:30 the crowd had increased to 55 - 65 people and had surrounded me and was screaming and advocating sinful lifestyles. I met many professing Christians who eventually exposed their evil fruit by cursing; Psalm 59:12 James 3:10 , blaspheming the Holy name of God Isaiah 57:15, Colossians 3:8, and angrily making threats to hurt me: Psalm 11:5 1 John 3:15.
It drizzled slightly off and on throughout the day as I preached hard and loud over the noisy wind, and the many hecklers and perverts that were on hand. Some good questions were hurled at me, but in my opinion very few were sincere. A lot of students sat quietly and listened as I supported my views and positins with Bible scriptures.
3 Police officers soon arrived and watched from a distance as the crowd became louder and more hostile as I rebuked with love for their soul, Revelations 3:19. One young man who was very effeminate, walked towards me demanding me to talk 1 on 1, and as he started to tell me my method could be more loving, I started preaching loud and informing him why I preach repentance: Mark 1:15, Mark 6:12, Luke 24:47, Acts 11:18, 2Corinthians 7:10.
I concluded the preaching at 3pm; about five minutes after a female campus police officer demanded everyone to leave the area immediately. Most of the students walked about 30-40 feet away and clearly wanted to hear preaching so I kept proclaiming. Soon all the students were leaving and nobody had any questions so I left. Many students who I met during my last visit seemed more calm, but others were more vile and violent. Overall it seemed to be a better meeting that my previous visit. There was more people, less hecklers, and I preached longer. I left and attended the first night of a Youth camp meeting at a local church.
