Before I tell you about our trip this weekend to October Fest, Check out 1 of our new banners we made! We made a couple banners but here is 1 of them!
On Sat. afternoon and into the night we traveled to Hickory October fest in downtown Hickory NC where we had the privilege to share the Gospel with many in the streets of Hickory. We started the afternoon off with banners flying and sandwich boards on, passing out tracts and witnessing one on one and in groups.
We were pleasantly surprised when we met some other Christians with the same desire to share the Gospel in the streets.
They had a booth set up on the street with the vendors and were sharing the Gospel to people passing by and anyone who would stop and listen. These guys were surprised that the cops had not stopped us from flying our banners and sandwich boards because they had been arrested a few months back for only passing out Gospel tracts. The charges have been dropped and are now fighting to have their records cleared.
As the night went on many were leaving and many were arriving to hit the bars that night to get drunk so the opportunity presented itself to do some preaching to not only those leaving but those arriving.
All in all the response was pretty good we had no issues with the cops and only one confrontational moment with a guy that did not like Brian’s banner. I guess the name of our lord and Savior flying high put him under conviction and he did not like that.
Many tracts were passed out and the Gospel of Jesus Christ was preached, I pray that the Holy Spirit will work in the life of each one that heard or read the Good News and will come under conviction for their sins.
