That reminds me of 1981 when the socialists took the “power” in France with Mitterrand 's election... I was a student , with my mates at the campus we were happy of that change , although none of us knew exactly why except one who had stronger convictions, so we went to the town centre to manifest joy and later on ... drunkenness. The biggest change in the country the day after was a hangover for some individuals ;D

America has just elected a man who supports infantciide. This is absurd. No one "supports" infantcide. The concern was that it was a slippery slope to overturning Roe vs Wade. It would be more appropriate to say that America has just elected a man who supports abortion rights. While that isn't much better, if McCain was elected one could say this: America has just elected a man who does not support abortion rights but supports the individual States rights to make the decision themselves. Don't really think it's that much better.

Don't worry Tony and all the rest of you Obama voters. Your president will never live up to his expections, never deliver on his promises and in a few years he will be just as hated as Bush ever was.
I love the clip of that one voter yesterday claiming how after Obama is elected she will no longer have to worry about paying her mortgage or putting gas in her car.
There is a good chance that is the mind set of a good many of those who voted for Obama.

Just be patient though because "It may take longer than one term to do these things" according to his acceptance speech.

I like how you can see the future. Can you perhaps tell me the next set of lottery numbers for the Florida lottery? Or is there some sort of Biblical prime directive preventing prophets from sharing that sort of information?
On a more serious and less condescending note, if "prophecy" is one of the gifts that the Holy Spirit bestows upon believers, why is it that nobody gets that gift anymore? It's always "tongues" or one of the more mundane gifts these days. What happened? Why did God stop handing out the good superpowers?

The gift of prophesy is to exhort ,encourage, edifies, rebukes and comfort in the sound doctrine of Jesus and the apsotles, and to point to Jesus the risen one, just like the other gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Now there is also the ministry of prophet, of those yes some can speak according to what God has show them for the future about specific events. Their main message is REPENT.
The election of Barack Obama will hasten things to their end, more than it would have done if McCain had been elected. What strikes me with this election, is how idolotry is rampant in the hearts of man, that is not only in USA but all around the world by people who do not know this man really, but still praise him. There is nothing hidden in the dark that won't be revealed.

Don't you want Jesus to come back faster, though? That just means less suffering on Earth and more Heaven time for you, right?
I know Barack Obama's policies, and that's why I voted for him. Not because he's black, and not because all my friends voted for him (They didn't, I live deep in the heart of McCainland.) I can also tell you wholeheartedly that I do not simply agree with his policies because I like him. I like him because I agree with his policies.
Yes, that includes abortion rights. All of them. I like how so many McCain supporters like to point out that Barack was one of the most liberal senators ever, as if that's a bad thing. It's not. Frankly, I was tired of being ashamed of my country for being such a conservative dump, and for the first time since Bill Clinton was in office, I'm actually proud to be an American again.

yeah we have come to know what Bill Clinton was doing in his office ... There was no need for you to be ashamed of being an American though , either under Clinton , Bush or another one. I have never been ashamed to be a French, even when the guys at the head of the country did some foolishness and the world laughed or pointed the finger. I am not proud to be French either. No pride no shame that's freedom my friend. Good that you voted in knowledge of the man's program. There is still hundreds of millions people in the world who have rejoyced of Obama 's election without knowing his program. Here polls say that more than 80 percent of the French are happy that Obama is the new president of the USA. Despite this, i am still not ashamed of being French , and certainly not proud of it. ;D

As far as Bill Clinton went, I found it simply outrageous that he was impeached basically for having an extramarital affair. What did that have to do with him being president?
Well, I wouldn't expect the majority of people in a country other than the United States to know all of Barack Obama's policies. I think the major thing people are rejoicing about is that he intends to eventually end the war in Iraq, which was a stupid war in the first place, and one that made 80% of the world angry with America. I don't blame them for being angry at us, because I was too.
By "proud to be an American", I wasn't saying that I now believe our country to be better than any other. I'm simply glad that we're on the path to redeeming ourselves in the eyes of the world, and maybe rebuilding some of the bridges that Bush burned pertaining to foreign policy.
If Barack Obama fails to uphold the promises that encouraged me and so many others to vote for him, yes, we will be angry. Furious, in fact. But I see no reason to believe that he won't, and no amount of smug conservatives saying that he will break his promises is going to change that.
As for the ones who voted for him without knowing anything, well, they're idiots, and they deserve whatever surprises they get from him. No, he's not going to bring the price of gas down to $0.00. He never said he would. He's not going to create some imaginary world where nobody ever has to mortgage their houses, and he never said that he'd do that either. Frankly, anyone who votes for anything without doing their homework on it first is a complete moron. However, I'm glad that they did vote for Obama, because it just furthers his cause and those who actually know what his cause is. ;D

Brother Micah,
I respect your suffering and endurance as a street minister in front of violent crowds and mockers, but yiou should stay out of this section. I am not happy at all with what has transpired in this election. Stioll. posts like the one you made are not the way to go.
However, do we really need this mocking attitude and this immatrue haaahhhaaaahhhaaaahhhaaaaa from you? It is immature, it is arrogant and it is unbecoming a street oreacher of your capability.
You need to apolohize to your Christian family here whom you might well have offended with this post and think before you post a little better
I mean that with all the love of Christ and respect for what you do in the war zone out there.

Here's another little point I'd like to make: President-elect Barack Obama is a Christian. Despite the errant claims that he was a Muslim during the mudslinging of the campaigns, he grew up in a family without religion and converted in his adulthood. He was exposed to Christianity through the various community involvements he was working with at the time.
Obviously, I wouldn't care what religion he follows. A Muslim president, an atheist president, a Scientologist president, who cares? If they are at all intelligent and capable of leading this country, they should realize that church and state need a huge level of separation. The state should make decisions based on fact and not faith. All religions should be left to their own devices.
This, of course, means that you cannot regulate abortion, as a result. SOME people don't believe that abortion is wrong. By forcing those people to avoid having abortions, you are forcing them to do so based on your own belief that it IS wrong. You shouldn't be able to do that. This isn't a Christian nation, just like it isn't a Satanist, Buddhist, or Hindu nation. It's just a nation that happens to contain followers of all of those religions, and more. Therefore, no one of them should hold the right to dictate what all of them can do.
I'm not entirely sure of this, but it makes sense to me to say that since Barack Obama is a Christian, he probably doesn't personally believe that abortion is right. However, in this case, he would be tolerant enough to realize that his view is not the only one, and thus he supports the right for others to do so based on their own beliefs.

Hmm, is it just my imagination or has fs taken a really holier than thou approach to these forums. Almost every thread I see her post in has her belittling someone's way of posting on here. Apparently the only one who can do anything right is her. Calling Micah arrogant and unbecoming, quite the pot calling the kettle black. I mean heck she has belittled everyone she has come across including even the administrators of the forum. Heathens and Christians alike are targets. I bet shes a real nice lady in real life, probably spends all of her spare time sending nasty emails to everyone about how they aren't doing anything right and they should just stop. Real charming reading through these posts.
EDIT: Oh btw, only one of those choices the good doctor said that I'd be opposed to is a Scientologist President. Those guys are just crazy.

Yeah, to be honest, I was a little regretful about putting Scientology. I'm not sure if it's a religion, really, as opposed to a cult, and I have serious doubts that any Scientologist is of the "intelligent enough to separate church and state" variety that I was trying to get across in my point. ;D

No worries .....Micah and I have know each other on this board for quiet a while. We agree on nearly nothing and have managed to have some fun with it. I wouldn't read his words as mocking or mean spirited.......merely incorrect and uninformed ;D
Micah, you have really got to take the brain in for a reality check dude. You are one of the few conservatives that have actually had the nerve to argue that the party that took us from a budget surplus to the largest deficiet ever, the party that has continued to support the insane war in a country that has been proven to have nothing to do with the attack on ours, and the party that has lead us straight into the worst economic crisis ever...would be the best party for the economy.
Hey, National Defense arguments are pretty good for the Republicans......Pro Life (though they refuse to do anything about it) arguments can gain some ground...small government (though the size of the government is even larger than it was before President Bush took office) is fair.
But you are arguing that the republicans are better for the ECONOMY? LOL.

Tony,
Read what I said again. I said Obama will never be able to deliver on what he has promised.
Many of those who voted for him think he is going to solve all of their financial problems.
He is the one who said during his acceptance speech that he will not be able to get done the things he promised in one term.
By the way I am still waiting on that Paris Reidhead book you said you would send me over a year ago.

I will apologize when Elijah apologizes for mocking the false prophets of Baal.
God honored his prayer and sent the fire down from heaven.
Nothing like sarcasm and mocking to drive a point home.

Maybe with some audiences and you are not Elijah.
He who wins souls is wise.
Different striokes for different folks I guess when it comes to style.
May the Lord use you and your ministry and may the people who will be influenced most by your style be placed in a position to hear it.
May your voice be heard by those who need to ehar it and may you be kept safe, as some of your videos look real perilously close to danger. May you always be in God''s hands.

Tony, Come on.....No one really believes a politician is going to deliver on everything they promised. I think the question in most voters minds is "Will the country be better off if I pick candidate A or candidate B" On the one term thing.....I have no problem with that comment. It took Bill Clinton two terms to fix things and he left office with a large budget surplus, low unemployment rates, high consumer confidence, etc. I think we will see the same out of this President. You are right Would you pm your address again, I'll dig it out and get it sent. My apologies!!!
