I've been reading Brother Jed's email newsletters for a while now and am always encouraged by what I read. He has been preaching the LSU Baton Rouge campus this past week and a man came up to him and said, “Twenty-five years ago you literally saved my life. I was a student at the University of Mexico and contemplating suicide. I listened to you all week on the Mall and as a result read the New Testament through. I committed myself to the Lord. I am now a research scientist here at the University and took the afternoon off to listen to you. I would rather hear you on the Mall than to go to any church I know.”
This deeply encourages me to continue to be faithful in the open air ministry. Brother Jed has been faithful to this type of ministry for decades and his faithfulness results in fruitfulness.

Man, that sure would make you feel good to hear that someone was listening and after all those years came back to tell you!
Thats a great story and a great encouragement to all to go out and share the gospel!

On second reflection is this the same Brother Jed who on another thread supposedly made a claim he has not sinned in twenty years? If so,t here is something dead wrong with his philosophy. Perhaps he should com here and explain this. Id true at surface value it is an absurd statement and shows pride and conceit that has got to eb unprecedented. I am hoping we are speaking of someone else or he is misquoted.

Brother Jed is no brother of mine. Brother Jed is a lying heretic who preaches utter nonsense. He is the hypocrite these lesser hypocrites follow.

Sop Brother Jed led one to the Lord? Great./ But how many has he lost or turned away due to his nonsensical rantings? Nee dI remind you of the Bible's wanting that he who causes one of these little ones to stumble, it will be better a millstone be tied to his neck and he cast into the sea or that he never have been born?
Faithful and Fruitful?
Delusional and Dangerous is more like it.

The problem you all seem to have, pro and con, is putting your eyes on man and not Jesus Christ.

Brother Jed is a complete nutcase. He goes to universities and heckles college students into a mob mentality. All he needs to do at that point is pull out a camera and start recording. A few simple edits and he'll have all the propaganda he needs to continue brainwashing his followers into thinking that Christianity is constantly under attack . Oh wait, he's already done that and is selling the DVD for $26 a pop. Making money by twisting the word of God so that he can record mob reactions? Wow, people are damned to hell for much, much less than that.
Jed can get converts (albeit just a few since most people are turned off by him) and make money by being a total misogynistic, anti-semetic and bigoted person. Mr. Administrator, why do you feel the need to associate with people of that caliber? You can do much better by preaching love rather than judgement.
