Pray for my friend Rachel Cooper who is a widow and is raising some unruly and rebellious children on her own. Well, not on her own as she is a strong Christian woman, but the trials are there. She left our church recently due to issues with Rev. Powell and called him a wold in sheep's clothing which I disagree with, but this is not my business. She is still my friend and I pray for continued strength.

Update. Sister Cooper is looking for another church and I may eventually join her.

Attempts to pray are worthless as there is noone there to receive your thoughts. Though if you hear a voice after you pray and there is noone else in the room, please go seek psychological help.

Too bad you got banned, pal. I can spot what you are trying to do a mile away and if you expected a long and critical rant from me, think again as I see through the game.

fs, I'm praying for Rachel right now. I hope the Lord will calm her children and point her (and you) to a place of worship worthy of His praise. Amen!

Our pastor is a fellow named Powell, but eh and Rachel have had some conflicts. I love and respect him and his wife and also our associate pastor, Drummond, who helped out with an ugly situation i do not want to go into that as partially mt fault on this board. Thing is, again tied to this board, one of the people in my singles group caused some trouble and it was an embarrassment to me.
The problem is all churches have some good and bad elements it seems.
Also, as a Baptists I believe in the eternal sanctification of the believer or once saved/always saved which is generally accepted doctrine in our denomination and some of the people on this board do not.
It can lead to conflict if you get sucked in.
Also a big debate between Calvinism and those who do not believe that route (I do not believe in Calvinism by the way and neither do most people I know, where they think God will only save an elected few)
There are some good and even great people here. The secret with some of the others who you do to see eye to eye with is to look at their strong points and find where you free with them and focus ont hat to improve your and their Christian walk.
I was all for witnessing to and shrugging off this Burning Guy's posts, but it irked me when he interfered with a prayer chain post.

She is going to a church across the river to either St Clairsville or Bridgeport. Pete Diaz (Judgment on the board) is going here also,. I am staying where I am for now. Sick of other people dictating terms to me or making suggestion that I follow and end in disaster,.
