Wednesday January 28, 2009 East Carolina University:
I arrived on campus around 11:30 and began preaching in the new free speech area around 11:45. The high today was expected to be near 67 and though it was cloudy and windy, I praised the Lord for such good weather seeing I did not have to wear a coat.
During the first class break which was around 12pm I preached sin, righteousness and judgment to come. One or two would stop and listen for a few minutes then scurry off to continue in sin. One young guy who seems to have a learning disability or something came up to me screaming and pointing his arrows in my face, then started swinging them at me, I guess he was going to his archer class or something. Another girl sat and listened for maybe five minutes, then before leaving handed me a five dollar bill. Alleluia!
I stopped preaching around 12: 30 and talked to some individuals that came near to greet me, and rebuke me for my method which did not contain enough of God’s love which is why I was not getting a crowd, or so they say.
At 1pm I was stirred to begin singing Psalms and Hymns, then immediately the Lord helped me to preach loud and hard. The Lord was gracious enough to gather me a group of about 25 that was attentive, interactive and stayed around asking question for a good while. The young screaming archer returned and began yelling and getting in my face once again, he was spitting a lot, his mouth was white and he was stuttering and repeating the same things over, so one sinner asked him nicely to be quiet and let me preach and answer questions. From 1:30 to 2:30 I answered a fair amount of questions, and did also some teaching and rebuking and did so by preaching a lot of Gods’ word. Most of the questions came for hypocrites and a Catholic guy that would jump around and curse, and used Gods’ holy name in vain when he became frustrated. He stole the words out of my mouth when he would say “Oh let me guess, you’re going to say I’m not a Christian because I curse and…. After the preaching I did a camera interview with a member of a local church who was filming a documentary named: “Five things people hate about Christians” As I left the campus around 2:50 I talked with a guy who professed to be a Christian and was interested in contacting me, so I gave him my info and invited him to our church service tonight

I began preaching just before noon during a class break and besides having many foul moth sinners mock, curse and rave about their sinful lifestyle not much interaction was taking place. The Lord helped me to preach hard and loud and students in various areas froze and slowly walked near to hear the word of God. Few students soon gathered and was rebuked for their cigarette smoking, cursing and boasting about their sin and sex as I preached a straightforward, repentance, holiness, he that commit sin of the devil message. The crowd had increased around 1pm to about 20, and fluctuated from 15 to 30 during the afternoon.
The catholic and the archer from last week soon arrived along with another guy who heckles but proclaims to be a Christian. This guy began following me around and repeatedly praying loudly that God would shut my mouth and not allow me to speak with my tounge. I swiftly and openly rebuked him telling him he needed to repent and stop attempting to hinder the Gospel preaching, and gladly informed him that God doesn’t answer the prayers of sinners.(Psalm 66:18, Proverbs: 28:9, John 9:31) The Holy Ghost stirred me to preach faster and louder. Many in the crowd began looking nervous. He then began mumbling syllables over and falsifying a tongue as if he was being led by the spirit. This meeting was less civil than last weeks due to the archer, the catholic, and other hecklers that made jokes and blasphemed for long periods of time. I decided to preach over them with all longsuffering and doctrine. Some students were interested in asking questions and one guy and one girl asked some serious questions about how they can live free of sin but when I gave them biblical answers they disagreed and said it is impossible because they are human and have to sin.
I left the campus around 3pm, and as I was almost off the campus an older female who I assume is a professor stopped me and we talked for a short while. I see her regularly at my meetings; she never says much but listens intently and is always kind to me and other students. She told me she loves the preaching, hopes I keep preaching and that she prays for me always. She was very encouraging.
