The Lord gave me this word as I awoke this morning.
Psalm 12
1Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
2They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.
3The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
4Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
5For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
6The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
8The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
-Rebecca

a timely post.
flattery , badmouthing , praising of man , or slander are too common these days.

You don't actually have to say something to mean it. Your getting tougher and stronger spiritually is more likely than physically and the way you're talking about it, why not call it armor? You're using it to protect yourself, whatever I may call it.
For fun, read again and consider my view on this.
fs, my post was a wisecrack, you are correct there, a fair bit of what I say is. It keeps me happy and in this case was meant to teach as well. Besides learning some interesting geology, I was trying to convey the message that what cannot bend, breaks. A bit of flexibility, willingness to change, and tolerance effect survival in positive ways.
If you want to be as rock, fine, be as rock. But rock is destroyed far sooner than something that bends with change.
