Associate pastor Drummond brought up a good point in dealing with some of you if I choose to stay and it makes sense,. rather than arguing about what I see as bad and accentuate that, I should accent the good. He suggested I find somethign positive on each of the people I disagree with and post it here. This I am doing.
Joel dad: Noticed you have started chiming in,. I never said or did anything to you, so I cannot say much yet, Do not know you. May God give you the blessing you need,.
Micah: Your enthusiasm and self-sacrifice for the Lord is indeed remarkable. You have done as Jesus commanded to the rich young man (who refused), by giving up all to follow him. While I gave become furious with some of your remarks, I will admit you are out there in the field at great discomfort and even danger to yourself. This is admirable. This is even praiseworthy. Few would have the dedication and willingness to do as you do.
Bullhorn: Again, I learned a little when looking at your page. I was surprised to find you are in a mixed marriage. True? In some parts in the south I bet that foes over as big with some of the ignorant in the audience.,,,maybe even bigger than your preaching, huh? I bet you have suffered some persecution and taunts like I can never imagine. I cannot say I care for your comments or your wisecracks and think that No Homos jacket will win no one you target over to Christ, but then who am I to say! I am not you, so who can say what will work. We must leave all we say and do in the hands of God and uplift him. This is sometimes hard to remember that when dealing with other people we do not see eye to eye with. Your page shows a different person from your posts here and a good and loving heart as husband and preacher. I wish I would have seen your hiome page earlier. You have a love for the lost and like Micah, have evidently sacrificed a good deal personally to follow the will of the Lord. May it lead you to many new places and may you and your wife be granted wisdom to win souls. Your reward in heaven will be great.
Rhema. You are emotional for Christ and have great passion,. Harness that to true wisdom and you will go many places as a witness for God. He who wins souls is wise. Remember that always.
Jesse: I was warned about you in a PM before I even had any dealings with you. Never mind by who. The thing is there was doubt and suspicion planted from the start that festered with some of your posts and doctrines that differed from mine and I could have at least been a bit more open to them and you,. I would suggest maybe you speak a bit more about your old self with the drugs and the near miss with death and let people see how Jesus has changed you, rather than just teaching hellfire and brimstone. Give them evidence of change and you are a living testimony to what Christ can do. Let the people see this and find if He did it for you He will do ti for them if they come with a sincere conviction. Your heart is in the right place. This is good.
Ross: Zeal and enthusiasm run rampant, but there are far worse things you could be involved with than showing zeal for Christ. A loving heart, but maybe a little but run rampant enthusiasm? I don;t know. I wish i could believe as faithfully as you seem to, placing all trust in Christ. WE got off to a bad start. Do not worry about my salvation as I am sure of it. I failed to realize your concern for me and took it the wrong way. May you be able to use this zeal with others. If we could bottle your enthusiasm and pass it around there would be no dull or dead churches.
As the Marines motto of be all you can be. Go and do so for Christ
May HE be with us all.
