I am compelled by the Holy Spirit to send out an urgent message to all on our mailing list, and to friends and to bishops we have met all over the world.
AN EARTH-SHATTERING CALAMITY IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. IT IS GOING TO BE SO FRIGHTENING, WE ARE ALL GOING TO TREMBLE—EVEN THE GODLIEST AMONG US.
For ten years I have been warning about a thousand fires coming to New York City. It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires—such as we saw in Watts, Los Angeles, years ago.
There will be riots and fires in cities worldwide. There will be looting—including Times Square, New York City. What we are experiencing now is not a recession, not even a depression. We are under God’s wrath. In Psalm 11 it is written,
“If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (v. 3).
God is judging the raging sins of America and the nations. He is destroying the secular foundations.
The prophet Jeremiah pleaded with wicked Israel, “God is fashioning a calamity against you and devising a plan against you. Oh, turn back each of you from your evil way, and reform your ways and deeds. But they will say, It’s hopeless! For we are going to follow our own plans, and each of us will act according to the stubbornness of his evil heart” (Jeremiah 18:11-12).
In Psalm 11:6, David warns, “Upon the wicked he will rain snares (coals of fire)…fire…burning wind…will be the portion of their cup.” Why? David answered, “Because the Lord is righteous” (v. 7). This is a righteous judgment—just as in the judgments of Sodom and in Noah’s generation.
WHAT SHALL THE RIGHTEOUS DO? WHAT ABOUT GOD’S PEOPLE?
First, I give you a practical word I received for my own direction. Lay in store a thirty-day supply of food, toiletries and other essentials. In major cities, grocery stores are emptied in an hour at the sign of an impending disaster.
As for our spiritual reaction, we have but two options. This is outlined in Psalm 11. We “flee like a bird to a mountain.” Or, as David says, “He fixed his eyes on the Lord on his throne in heaven—his eyes beholding, his eyelids testing the sons of men” (v. 4). “In the Lord I take refuge” (v. 1).
I will say to my soul: No need to run…no need to hide. This is God’s righteous work. I will behold our Lord on his throne, with his eye of tender, loving kindness watching over every step I take—trusting that he will deliver his people even through floods, fires, calamities, tests, trials of all kinds.
Note: I do not know when these things will come to pass, but I know it is not far off. I have unburdened my soul to you. Do with the message as you choose.
God bless and keep you. In Christ, DAVID WILKERSON DW:bbm 3-05-09

Great. Doomsayers. After what amount of time would 'about' have passed and I can safely guess that Mr. Wilkerson was wrong?

Great. Doomsayers. After what amount of time would 'about' have passed and I can safely guess that Mr. Wilkerson was wrong? 2 Peter 3:2-9, "That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

I just called a dear brother of mine and told him, he stated that the elder of his church which my elder also; who has a prophetic calling told him that it was urgent that he speak to the church tomorrow morning. He knew nothing about David Wilkerson's message and he said he want to warn the church that something is about to take place. For the church to put aside food and drinks for a catastrophe.
Is it more than coincidence. I think not.

Amen. David Wilkerson prophesied of this years ago. I am posting a small portion of this message about what is going to happen and then I will post the link so you can read the whole thing: The Towers Have Fallen But We Missed the Message by David Wilkerson | October 8, 2001 ".....I was given a prophetic message nine years ago, and I delivered it at Times Square Church on September 7, 1992. Let me share it with you now: "This warning is not meant to scare you. It's meant only for you to take to the Lord and pray. This is what I believe God has shown me": "Thirty days of chastisement will fall on New York City such as the world has never seen. God is going to let down the walls. There will be unimaginable violence and looting. The violence will be so ferocious, it will shock the whole world. Our streets will be lined not just with the National Guard but with militia". "A thousand fires will burn at the same time throughout the city. The Los Angeles fires were confined to a few sections of that city, but New York will be ablaze in all its boroughs. Times Square will be ablaze, and the flames will ascend into heaven and be seen for miles. Fire trucks will not be able to handle it all". "Trains and buses will be shut down. Billions of dollars will be lost. Broadway shows will stop completely. Businesses will flee the city in an unstoppable hemorrhage. Such things are expected in Third World countries, but not in a civilized nation like the United States. Yet, in not too long a time afterward, New York City will go completely bankrupt. The Queen City will be cast into the dirt, becoming a city of poverty". "You may ask, when will all this happen? All I can say is, I believe I will be here when it happens. Yet, when it does, God's people are not to panic or fear." Calls and messages have flooded our ministry offices, asking, "Was the terrorist attack on September 11 the calamity you were prophesying back in 1992?" No, not at all. What I saw coming will be much more severe. Indeed, if America rejects God's call to turn back to him, we'll face the same judgments Israel faced. And they will hit not only New York but every region in the country. Even the heartland won't be spared. The nation's economy will collapse, and violence will erupt. Fires will consume our cities, and tanks will rumble through the streets. Perhaps you wonder, as I have, "Can any of this be avoided?" Yes, absolutely. I believe we'll be given a reprieve if our President proves to be a Josiah. You may well remember Josiah as the king who sought the Lord with all his heart. We all should pray that God would give our President the same spirit that Josiah had, to tremble at his Word. The Lord spoke the following to Josiah: "Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and upon the inhabitants thereof...because they have forsaken me, and have (worshipped) other gods...But [say] to the king of Judah which sent you to enquire of the Lord...Because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before the Lord, and thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse...I also have heard thee, saith the Lord. Behold therefore...thine eyes shall not see all the evil which I will bring upon this place" (2 Kings 22:15-20). God told the king, in essence, "As long as you're in power, trembling at my Word and relying on me, you won't see the judgments to come. They won't happen during your reign." I believe our window of opportunity to respond to God's call is brief. We all should pray that our nation repents and turns back to the Lord. But our most intense prayers should be for our own hearts: "Lord, let me tremble not at the disasters, but at your Word. I want to hear your voice in all of this. Cause me to turn wholly to you." Great. Doomsayers. After what amount of time would 'about' have passed and I can safely guess that Mr. Wilkerson was wrong? *cut for length* Got a bit in the bible about beware false prophets as well. There have been people predicting the end of the world for ages, smaller calamities as well. I don't believe this guy is correct because someone will have to do something royally stupid to anger enough people to get New York rioting. However, human stupidity is the only limitless force in this world I've observed and I'm willing to believe Mr. Wilkerson may be on to something. Instead of quoting at me Rhema, and ignoring me Rebecca, give me a max time limit for his beliefs to come into play.

Any time I hear of anyone, especially a Christian, giving a exact prediction of mass devastation, I cringe. We must not, add to or take away from the Word of God. We have had the entire Word of God for a long time now. This always comes back to bite the person making the prediction in the end. If it is God's will to destroy cities, then it is His will. These things are not for us to know.

What I am gathering from the message is that something big is gonna happen. I don't believe he is saying that the vision he seen 10 years ago is that. It could be a crash in the stock market. To tell you the truth as I watched the market Thursday, I thought for sure it was going to drop down to a crash as did in 1929 on Black Tuesday.
A few days ago, I felt something like an asteroid was going to hit us. I remember asking the LORD if this was going to be the next catastrophe. The very next day, I read about how this enormous asteroid just miss hitting the earth. It could be a number of things. Lets keep close to Christ and wait and see.
I know David Wilkerson is not one to prophesy fluently at the throw of a hat. He is not like that. He very seldom gives a prophetic warning. He actually does not call himself a prophet anyway.

The Word of God talks about false prophets in the OT. Warns people that even though some may prophesy things that do come to pass, if it goes against HIS covenant, they are still a false prophet. I am looking for that scripture.

Deuteronomy 13:1-3, "If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul."

NEW YORK POST
By CLEMENTE LISI

Talk about a near miss!
A 200-foot wide asteroid zoomed past Earth today at an altitude of 40,000 miles - swerving far enough from our planet to avoid total destruction, officials said.
Dubbed 2009 DD45, the large rock was discovered only Friday by Australian astronomers.
The enormous asteroid narrowly avoided a collision with Earth at 8:44 EST, officials said.
Although 40,000 miles sounds like a safe distance, it's only about one-seventh of the way to the moon and less than twice as far out as most satellites, astronomers said.
Had 2009 DD45 slammed down onto the Earth, it would have exploded with the force of a large nuclear blast somewhere in the Pacific Ocean west of Tahiti.
Astronomers said the asteroid is likely to return for another series of near misses since it's somehow drawn in by our planet's gravity.
Peter Brown, an astronomer at the University of Western Ontario in Canada, said the last rock "as large or larger than this to come this close was in 1973 and the next time will be in 2029 when Apophis makes its close approach."
Apophis initially caused some concern among scientists when its plotted course revealed it to be on a collision trajectory with Earth, but further investigations have since shown it will pass harmlessly by.

Revelation 8:7-13, "The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood; And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed. And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!"

My message for tomorrow is to be on 2 Peter 3:9-12, worked on it all week. Sometimes you wonder why the Holy Spirit calls you to preach on a certain subject, and then.... it all fits together.
I was not saying that these tragedies cannot happen, I was saying, we are not suppose to predict them. Not that any of us are. But, I would not worry about it. Lets just "Preach The Word" Until we hear the trumpets! For one to proclaim a new revelation of God and then that revelation does not come true, that would make them a false prophet! And we know how that is to work out.
Sleep well tonight Brothers and Sisters and see ya in church tomorrow! May God's grace be with us all.

You know, I am not real big on the doom and destruction prophecies as I have seen too many of these made and failed. The more this message is considered and if it is coming up with multiple sources, one has to wonder. The near misses might be dismissed as coincidental, but on the other hand,w ho is to say a divine hand DIDN"T play a part in it.

The Bible surely talks about the devastation that will occur during the last days. We do have a gift that God has given to the church which is the gift of Prophesy. I believe this is to profit and edify the Church as the ohter gifts. 1 Corinthians 12:4-7, "Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal." A few years ago, I had a number of dreams, right before Hurricane Katrina Hit. I mean about 2 weeks before. The dreams showed hundred of thugs walking down main street of our city breaking into homes and doing all sorts of crime. I just knew these dreams were spiritual. I told the congregation about them and warned them that the city was about to see an increase in crime. Well, 2 weeks later, the hurricane hit and many from New Orleans and the south moved into the city. And our crime rate began to increase drastically. I even posted the dreams on youtube. Now, it has gotten so bad, that the that just this past week, started on March 1, 2009, the Mayor of Ville Platte has issued a citywide curfew from 10 pm to 5 am. Before then, it was seldom that you heard of break ins. Now it is a common thing. What did it do for the Church? Well, to this day they remind me about it and how they feel it was encouraging to them how God is watching on their behalf and warns them ahead for the things to come. I never had a dream like that before or after. So far, a one time thing. But I know that some can go overboard on dreams, visions, and prophesies. But we cannot exclude them all.

Pastor Powell preached an odd sermon (odd for a Baptist) on End Times today in the morning's service. I wish I had been able to talk a few friends I know into sitting through this with me.

I have had a set of bad dreams and also have a feeling of something unexpected catching people by surprise. I might be overreacting, but it is an odd feeling. Being in Canada and "out of the loop", so to speak, on USA events, I can say also that I sense a foreboding danger on the horizon. I recently called Pastor David at his home (before his prophetic word) and can say that this man is a man of prayer and the Word; his decades of service to the Kingdom of God and his lifestyle all give much much weight to his words; speaking with him only reinforced this in my heart. I dare say that the bubble-gum theologians who prophesy of good times and prosperity for all are in for a huge surprise. I praise God for men like Pastor David and others who faithfully speak what the Lord gives them.
