Just a little curious what books everyones reading. Anyone want to chime in? It is hard to find anything good around my area. Sure, there is tons of Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen, Max Lucado. But I am speaking of real theology here. The Christians book stores don't have a great selection on anything other than the above mentioned. One more thing, how can a Christian book store have so many copies of "The Shack" and no Charles Finney?

Focusing on the book of Jeremiah. ;D I haven't any other books I'm about to read through right now, but I am perusing through several books, putting together some "devotional" kind of things including: Gaining Favor With God and Man by William Thayer Biblical Foundations - an awesome personal Bible Study outline also known as "The Purple Book." Some of well written little booklettes written by this preacher guy... Jesse somethin-or-other. are also on my list. lol.

That's on my "to read" list as well Joel. Just got it a little while ago. Forgot to add it... Rev. K, why do you like the NKJV? That translation seams to be getting very popular Shane, it is a literal translation, comes from the better manuscripts (in my opinion-same as the KJV), doesn't use the old English words that I don't like (and many times don't understand, like "bishop prick"), translates homosexual from the Greek as "homosexual" in the English instead of "abusers of themselves with mankind", translates Hades from the Greek into "Hades" in the English instead of "Hell", and many more things. I just find that it is the better translation. I want my family to be uniform across the board too and my children would have a REALLY hard time understanding a lot of the old English. They would also have to have a 17th Century dictionary handy in order to define many of the words as many of them are not even in use anymore. But, hey, if the NKJV is good enough for Jesus and the Apostle Paul, it's good enough for me! ;D

Seems truth in heart is against the notion of a limited God, in knowing All. ==== You change yet? Hope so. truthinheart.com/Open_Theism.html========= P.S. the bible records that "had they known about the resurrection/ they never would have crucified the Lord." And Satan fell under this same assumption Jesse Morrell, that GOD....doesnt know everything, and therefore as a twisted hope in changing his own destiny of the Lake of Fire. Think about it. Take heed Jesse. Godbless you in truth and keep on the firing line for it. =) Waiting for dialogue. VERITAS77
