Hi, saint/brother/pastor Ross,
Remember the student who asked for your prayer and we prayed together on the ground? Well, it's me.
My name again is Yong Jun Choi. I am in my last semester and I really want to use it to get closer to God like never before.
Before we prayed, I was telling Brandon, who you said thanks for praying when we were, about prophetic gifts and the scripture that talks about asking, seeking and knocking, and how much the Father wants to give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him.
You mentioned those when we prayed and it was so comforting that God by the Holy Spirit would confirm and strengthen my faith through you.
More amazing is that, not knowing so at the time, what I prayed for and over your future was a confirmation for you as well.
It's just mind-blowing for me, but I sure hope that this kind of response from God will be a part of normal Christianity as we walk in the Spirit.
Anyhow, I am doing well, but more than that, I just want to tell you that I think God wants me to tell you, you are not driving the hearts away from Jesus as some have spoken against you.
It is so clear throughout the Scripture that it's their hearts that respond either harshly or humbly to the message of repentance.
Even one of the most wicked city, Nineveh, repented at the message of God's coming judgment through a prophet who tried to run away from God. Then, even Jesus was rejected from one of the cities.
It just tells me how it is by the grace of God that we know Him and how He raises people like you to preach the message of repentance. And as Americans, we need to preach it all the more both for God and people of the land which the founding fathers dedicated it to God.
I really want to encourage you and will keep you in my prayer for God's increasing grace and power of the Holy Spirit to convict the hearts of those who hear your message. May God reveal deeper secrets of Him and use you mightily like David to strike down giants that controls so many of Americans today.
Thanks for coming to UVA to preach such a timely message for me and the others.
To encourage you further, God actually showed me a dream last semester where I was praying in the Chapel with my roommate and came out, and saw a man which I got prayed for.
I was thinking about go to the Chapel to pray the day you came, but didn't get to it (and my roommate called when he saw you preach), and the man in the dream was white and older.
Well, the details outside may be different, but I sought after God to give me insight and discernment to know when it was to be fulfilled, and that's why I waited until the end to get prayed, knowing that it was the day.
Thanks again, and please keep me in your prayer as well. Let's keep in touch.
Thanks!
-Yong Jun Choi
