I have been thinking about Ephesians 5:5-7, especially "...cometh the WRATH of God upon the children of DISOBEDIENCE. BE NOT YE THEREFORE PARTAKERS WITH THEM."
1. This is a warning to Christians.
2. Christians would partake of God's wrath if they disobey and become sinners
3. Obedience is a condition of staying saved
4. Obedience or disobedience is a free choice
5. Staying saved or not is a free choice. Powerful truths!
"For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolator hath any inheritance in the Kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of thesethings cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them." Eph. 5:5-7
It seems clear:
- that salvation can be lost - obedience is a condition of staying saved - We have a free choice

"And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengence on them that know not God and that obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ." This let's us know that no that no denominations will make it to heaven because they violate 1 Corinthians 1:10. Those who have rejected the words of Christ will still be judged by the words of Christ and all men will be held accountable for the things they did, believed, and taught. John 12:48 Also, no sinner makes it to heaven 1 Peter 4:18 "And if the righteous are scarcly saved where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear."

The sinner will suffer, but can still be "saved", made whole and without sin, but he/she will suffer loss.
Obedience is, by definition, "salvation"

Hello again Jesse, Yes, with so many Scriptures showing that we, as Christians, have to maintain the free gift of salvation by continually being obedient to all that Christ taught and commanded us to DO and to "conquer to the end"by keeping our faith or else we may find that Yeshua had to take our names out of the book of life. Revelation 3:2-3, 5 Good post Jesse. Anchor I have been thinking about Ephesians 5:5-7, especially "...cometh the WRATH of God upon the children of DISOBEDIENCE.
