Two small minor witnessing opportunities...
My wife witnessed to the cable guy the other day. We've got a huge KJV on our coffee table, and he mentioned he hadn't read his "good book" in quite some time. My wife asked him why. He said he didn't have the time. She asked him why God should have time for him. He said "No one has ever said it like that before." We'll be praying for him.
A new guy at my work is a believer, and when I asked if he was Christian, he said "Yeah, well, Catholic, same thing." I then tried to explain to him that salvation is through Christ alone...he agreed. I eventually ran him through the good person test, which he failed. He was hoping for forgiveness even though he had sinned, but I took him to the eternal courtroom and pointed out that only a corrupt judge would let the guilty party go without serving justice. From there he seemed pretty convicted. I asked him if he read his Bible everyday, he said "Nah, but I just dug it out from the basement the other night, I'm going to start reading it here soon." Before he left I gave him the 66 love letters illustration, and he exclaimed "No one has ever said it like that before, I've got some friends who need to here that."
I plan to follow up with him in a couple weeks to see how things are progressing.
I know I didn't get arrested or have anything thrown at me, but I thought I'd let you guys know how things are going up here.
I've also been putting the million dollar bills in with my utility bills, passing them out at the gas station, giving them to the lady at the drive thru window, and I've been leaving the 10 commandments coins INSIDE the coin slot of payphones in my neighborhood, I figure I pay taxes on it I should be able to leave a tract...
Thats all for now...pray for these guys...
