Today my husband dropped me off for work and my manager greeted me at the door.I was fumbling around with my wallet when a track dropped out.The manager bent over to pick it up to hand it back to me and I told him "Oh that's for you!" Needless to say he's avoiding me now but I plan on hitting him with the gosple.Ive been wanting to talk to him and I was all set to let him have it this morning when the track dropped out which I believe was totally the Lord.I don't know how that track got there but I believe it was the Lords way of breaking the ice with him.

Don't take this personally, since I don't know you.
This is more addressed to ALL who hand out tracks and proclaim the Gospel.
Does your life (how you live - act - talk) lend credibility and testimony to what you are giving and telling people?
Is your daily living an EFFECTIVE witness and testimony of what you are trying to "sell" to others?

Anyone who does not live the gospel has no right to preach the gospel. If your life is not a sermon you have no right to preach one. And also if you do not privately pray you have no right to publicly preach.
I sure hope that everyone who witnesses and preaches on these boards have both a private prayer life and a conduct and character of holiness, as I am inclined to believe they do.

I TOTALLY agree, but you know that the pulpits and churches are full of people proclaiming The Gospel without TRUELY living Ther Gospel

Well Rebbeca, great for you, because we are to go above and beyond to show others we mean it, that we ARE different than the world.
But unfortunately that behavior is the exception rather than the norm with todays American Christianity.

Is your daily living an EFFECTIVE witness and testimony of what you are trying to "sell" to others? I agree with you. And I disagree with you. Let's face it...hell is a terrible place...even though someone may not be walking with the Lord, should the struggle of their own personal walk prohibit them from passing on the gospel? I do agree with you in the sence that yes, we should worry about the log in our own eye before we go preaching to others about removing the stick from theirs, but just because someone isn't walking the "ideal" Christian walk shouldn't prevent them from atleast dropping tracts in places... Or should it? Please help me rethink this if you think I'm off base...

No, unholy living should not stop someone from dropping off tracks.
But wanting other souls to be saved, as well as our love for God, should make us WANT and DESIRE to live as salt and light, as well as in a manner worthy to Yahweh.
The 2 (Holy Spirit powered holy living, and reaching the lost) should go hand in hand.
To do one (either one) while neglecting the other makes us INEFFECTIVE as Yahweh's children.

Amen and amen... ...Many Christians today don't preach the gospel to anyone anywhere...despite their lifestyle...
