Hello Brethern,
Please forgive me if this topic has been discussed before....
I am coming out of the OSAS teaching and want to know what causes one to lose thier salvation.
Is it just one sin...
or a pattern of sin over a period of time....if so...how long of time etc...
Are thier some sins which cause you to lose your salvation while others do not....
Or is it like leaving the faith altogether as in becoming an athiest etc.
I know that this is not an easy question to anwser but maybe someone has a link to an article or has a collection of verses handy. I appreciate your time and consideration.

Just as a marriage, if a spouse sins against he other, they do not become unmarried, but there is a stress upon the marriage relationship. Ehen there is sin in our life, our relationship is not able to grow/mature, ad there is no peace between you & God untill you repent. However, with deception, it is of a doctrinal matter. The deception which would cause you to loose your salvation is a bad doctrine which denies Christ & His resurrection. Also a deception which would cause uou to deny Christ all together. Many christian college students with a weak foundation is deceived by clever professors who hate all things pertaning to God.

I appreciate your time and consideration. The Bible talks about sin, but it also talks about sin that does not lead to death while there is sin that leads to death. I have an article on my webpage if you would like to read it: dividingword.net/ES%20Issues/Are%20all%20Sins%20the%20Same.htmlBut for a while i also began to question the idea of "chastisement'. The following article is by Jeff Patton and I found it to be very interesting and makes sense in light that Christians should not be sinning. If anyone would like to read, here is that link: dividingword.net/ES%20Issues/Chastisement.htmlI'm interested in any comments.
