Last night on my way home I had to stop at the grocery store and as I was making my to the store from my vehicle I passed a young woman in a car with California plates and the Lord, by His Spirit said "stop and witness to her." (I love it when I get this strong leadings) So I turned around and she was just getting out of her car and I struck up a conversation with her. Her name is Kate, about 24 years old. It didn't take long to swing to the spiritual when I told her I was a Christian and wanted to ask her a few questions. I had no tracts or nothing, just the Spirit of the Lord and me.
I had asked her what she did for a living and she told me she was something like a "graphics designer" from Connecticut. When I asked her if she had a Christian background she nodded her "no" but then said Baptist. So I messed with her a bit while grinning and nodding my head "no" and saying Baptist. I guess you'd have to have been there. When I asked her why she was not following Jesus anymore she said "I took a Philosophy class on World Religions and decided I didn't want to be labeled anything anymore." I said "what was it you said you were again?" She smiled.
I spoke to her about the authenticity of Jesus by the fulfilling of over 360 prophecies about Him, which I said also tells you that the Bible IS God's Word. I spoke to her about the impossibility of this happening mathematically with one individual. That raised her eyebrow and I told her "you know the Truth." I shared with her Romans 3:23; 6:23, Eph 2:8-9 and John 14:6. She started getting a little squirmy and so I asked "Someday your going to die and step off the face of the earth and say I'm right about the Bible and Jesus and that there is a literal Hell and God has to judge because He is Holy and Just, that would be where you end up, having rejected the Truth as you have, does that concern you that you could be wrong, because eternity is for a very long time?
She said "I really need to get going" so I asked her, "do you have a Bible," she said "yes." So I told her to read the Gospel of John.
Saints, it's a seed planted...pray that the Lord will bring in the harvest. I am getting ready to leave work and meet with a fellow worker, who is a Catholic, to share the Gospel with. So please hold us up in prayer too. His name is John Almeida.
In Jesus and to Him be all the Glory!
