This evening BJ Mckelvie had an urgency to go upwards on Mountain Road.... which was strange, as I had no idea what was going to take place.
As we were driving back from Mountain Road, I thought, "I want to go to the Chapel"
I asked BJ to turn onto a side street, which was a shorter way to get to the Chapel.
As we went down the side street, just off Mountain Road, I saw a yard sale.
I said, "Stop! Let's see what's here."
We were greeted by a man who was in a wheelchair due to a knee injury.
We introduced ourselves as Pastor Dan and Pastor BJ (we're both Ordained in seperate denominations; myself being non denominationally affiliated and BJ being Ordained with the late Kenneth Hagin's Rhema denomination...).... it usually opens doors.
The man went on to tell us his life story... a drug user, an alcoholic, a "psycho fighter", as he basically put it..... he showed us a scar on his kneck showing how he had hung himself in his basement sometime back... etc etc
He has been sober for almost 2 months...but still craves...he shared with BJ and I about the first time he shot cocaine into his arm; he began physically trembling as he spoke, as his cravings overtook him as he relived that moment.
BJ gave the man his CD on which he sings and signed it; I think the man enjoyed that!
I asked the man, "Can I lay my hands on you and pray?"
He obliged.
We placed our hands on this man and I asked the Lord to reveal Himself and His Son, the Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, to this man, and to set him free of drug cravings etc etc.
The Spirit of God fell down powerfully and I began interceding in another Tongue, which I DO NOT do on a regular basis (Cessastionists, please sjip this part).
The Heavenly Language began to flow out my innermost being and a deep spirit of intercession began to fall on me as I called out to God on this man's behalf.
We concluded the prayer and parted.
Please keep this man, Roger, in prayer.
We will be meeting with Roger again.
This time, to close the deal.
