I once thoguht street outreaching the way to go but more and more I seem to realize that these street preachers are not in it to win souls but for their own glorification. Their mannerisms, their condemnation and their arrogance is a disservice to Christianity and Jesus.
Do NOT pay any attention to a ton of the ravings here, but find a true church where they have real ministers and show the true love of Christ.
Do not judge Christ by the raving of street teaching fools.

There are plenty of bad street preachers out there, but you can dismiss all street preaching because of them. Open air preaching is seen all throughout the Bible.

Two days before this post, you made another one:
"I have backslidden and the problem is I no longer really care."
That explains a lot...

There are no contemporary churches in existence that are not founded on a false doctrine of salvation.

A freewill baptist church would be close...except they religiously have footwashings/some do not, which are segregated- revealing something isnt right to begin with and may have the washings on a non regular service. Thus not-so-common pratice afterall. Nazarenes are simular, but have a seed of pentacostalism within them.
If you attended BOTH these denominations... you would be at least 90-95% accurate doctrinally...and thats ONLY if they are using a AKJV (Authorized, aka King James Version). Google video: Gail Riplinger for *reason/PROOF why. =) =========== I would enjoy future Jesse Morrell dialogue. I ran my own board on a different forum with a number of readers...and a number of frequent pastors blogging... Its interesting to see how many of them-shy from conversation with **other believers who study also.
Godbless you. -VERITAS77 =)

A good Bible following, preaching church is tough to find, and no church is totally perfect. There are plenty of bad street preachers, the Bible says to test the spirit, hold whoever is preaching to you accountable against the word of God.

, hold whoever is preaching to you accountable against the word of God. Exactly, and I believe this is the reason folks go luke warm. But let's take this up a notch, these words are mirrored in Revelation in the letters to the churches. We are told by Jesus to test everyone. In the early apostolic church this is what was constantly being done. Later the early church fought many heresies the largest was Marcionism. Luther dredged up the long dead Marcionism, which is basically the foundation of the modern Evangelical church. The heresy is responsible for the many cults which claim their authority from the scriptures. It is the basis of lawlessness, or as Luther claimed to have liberty, and said one is to sin boldly, because God loves a good sinner. For those who are not familiar with this heresy, most online quick definitions are not very concise, Wikipedia has a pretty good definition. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcionism or you could read "Tertullian agains Marcion" it is a long read but a good one.

Real encouragement there folks. Boy I wish I could be YOU and not me. I agree- I think it's interesting that rather than try and support currito, you automatically try and undermine him/her by pointing out their recent backsliding. If you are actually concerned with currito's soul, shouldn't you be trying to realign currito with the values of the bible, rather than condemning his/her viewpoint because it a) contradicts yours b) could possibly be a symptom of aforementioned backsliding? Not a believer, just an observer, but I think that you're allowing yourself to be more concerned with agreement on your image than with the "salvation" of others...
