Over 13 years ago, the Lord was dealiong with my heart to repent from my sins and surrender to HIM. A man walked into my place of business, purchased a couple of items then walked out. Before he came in I was actually reading the BIBLE. Like I said, the Lord was dealing with me. This man did not know this. I saw him drive up in front of business, and I immedietly placed my BIBLE under counter before he even walked in. He did not know I was reading BIBLE. He purchased his few items, walked out, then a couple of minutes came back in. He handed me a couple of CHICK tracts. He said this was somthing I could read. I seen he was a lil nervous doing this. I said thank you and he walked out. I knew without a shadow of a doubt that this was the work of GOD. That was just one of GOD's loving ways to reach to me. It was not two weeks latoer I came to know CHRIST as my SAVIOUR.
GOD DOES USE TRACTS

Im going to remember that the next time I hand out a track. Thanks!
I do pray over the tracks and I pray that they get into the right hands.I don't like to see them thrown away.Usually it's the elderly folks who throw the tracks away but the young people hang on to them.

Jeffrey Lockwood from Canada (a dear brother) was saved by a gospel tract! I like to hand out tracts, but I REALLY like to give a person one after I've had a chance to talk to them one2one.... Re: marriage. Sherm & I were selfish, rebellious, unsaved people when we married nearly 28 yrs ago. However, God in His mercy saved us. When I was a baby Christian, He led me to a dear, dear sister who taught me about submitting to my husband. It was contrary to EVERYTHING I had ever learned. Praise God! When I began to practice godly principles, my home was filled with peace and joy. My husband later submitted to Christ, fulfilling 1 Peter 3:1 - 1 Peter 3 1Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; Now I know that if we are having discord (which is very, very rare PTL), I examine myself first to see if I need to repent of ...... (fill in the blank). Just wanted to share a little bit of my own experience!

Re: women on the mb. I'm usually on it a lot more when Miles is on the road. When he's home, he's always dragging us from one outreach to another, or to Canada, etc. ;D ;D

I heard George Whitefield was born again through a Gospel tract! Yes he did get saved by reading a tract called: "The Life of God in the Soul of Man" by Henry Scougal. Although we wouldn't consider it a tract, but rather a small book which has over 150 pages.

I have handed tracts to waitresses and people at counters at stores, and when I went back to check and ask them what they thought about them, many have said they gave their lives to Christ.
I was at a homeschoolers convention and there was a lady working a cash register at a snack shop. I knew she could stop to talk to me long so I gave her a tract and suggested when the line was done and she had some free time, she could go through it. I had used the "good person test" in my short conversation. I told her I would come back later and check on her.
I walked away and prayed for her. She was pregnant and knew that if she got saved, her child had a better chance to know the Lord also. I watched her and prayed for the next hour as we walked around the show. Finally I saw her reading it during a break and bowing her head as she got near the end. I went over as she wiped the tears from her eyes to welcome her as my new sister in Christ.
Do people read them? Absolutely! And, many get saved.

Thanks, for the websight. That's very encouraging.
Lately I have been praying over who I give them to.I wanted to go out so bad today and hand out tracks but I had other things I had to take care of today. I promised my kids I would take them swimming and my son had a baseball game.
We drove for a half hour to get to his tournament when we found out it was canceled.I was so tired and discouraged. I got lost on the way back because it was in another county Im not familiar with.My kids were fighting.I felt like there was an attack on me.
When I got home I crashed and I started praying and I felt overcome by the spirit of God.I could not get up and the peace of God was all over me.There is only one other time I ever felt it that strong.
Whenever I start walking really close to the Lord that happens to me.It reminds me of that scripture "Be still and know that I am God".I felt totally immobilized. Now I don't feel tired anymore.

I didn't forget you two! I guess I should have said; I don't know why there are not MORE christian women on this site. Hey! What am I...chopped liver? Yes! People get saved through tracts! Let me tell you two quick stories 1) Elsa: Currently in her late 40's and lives in Baja Sur, Mexico in the same city where my husband and I are missionaries. She attended a private Catholic school as a young girl and one day was invited to an evangelical church with a school-mate. She went, doesn't remember a word that was said but noticed a display board that had all kinds of tracts for the taking in the foyer. She took one and kept it. A couple of months later she is having a hard time, praying and looking for God. Remembers she still has this tract she picked up at the church, read it and surrenedered her life to Jesus. Since that day in her life she has started a private school that uses Abeka and Bob Jones Univ. curriculum here in this city. She wants all Christian teachers and Christian principal and administrator but has had to settle for some non-Christian teachers due to a lack of available people (anybody out there feeling called to help at this school?) She can't come right out and call the school and private "Christian" school because the Catholic church would shut her down faster than you blink an eye. So instead she calls it a private school that uses godly principles, curriculum based on the Bible and Bible classes. Currently this school has 275 pupils from pre-school thru high school. This woman who got saved by reading a tract is going to affect the next generation of Mexicans in this town with her school. 2) Juvenal: Young man who came here to work but was handed a tract by an evangelical on mainland Mexico. We just met him today, in fact. He still hangs onto this tract, dogearred as it is, and wants to learn more. My husband and I are taking him a Bible in Spanish tomorrow. P.S. Why aren't you allowed to preach blynn? We're talking street preaching right?
