I ran across this and thought it was great. I'm sure everyone runs into some of these sayings. I run into the one that says, "It is better to cast thy seed in the belly of a whore than to spill it on the ground." pretty often. Does anyone else run into any that are not on this list? www.blueletterbible.org/faq/sayings.html

LOL.. I think you guys may have read that wrong, or didn't look at the link? I am not promoting those sayings. That link shows saying that are not in the Bible ie false! I guess you guys haven't heard any of those on this list? I don't promote the saying I quoted. I have had several people tell me it says that in the Bible. It promotes fornication as opposed to masterbation. I'm against both. Check out the link and you will know what I am talking about.

[scratches his head]What in the world! [/scratches his head] That's what I said when I heard one may say, "Yeah! When I read in the Bible "It is better to cast thy seed in the belly of a wh0re than to spill it on the ground." I knew it was full of junk! What logic!!" And then I responded like Miles did.

ok, the one on there about the eye being the window of the soul concerns me. Ray Comfort uses that illustration all the time, and it is on his tracts. (the curved illusion cards) etc. What does that mean? I just assumed it was scriptural...where does he get that from then?
the others I have heard, many times. Esp God helps those who help themselves, which is a lie from hell. thanks for the site!

Yeah, at first I wasn't sure what you meant by posting that, then I went to the site and it all became clear. There is some good info on that site.

I don't think that I have heard Ray say, "THE BIBLE SAYS, the eyes are the windows to your soul." He does says, "your eyes are the windows to your soul." I just looked on the back of the curved illusion tract and that is what it says. It is just an illustration. Whether the Bible says it or not, it is true. Your eyes are what your life, your soul looks out of to see the world around you. The windows of a house are what people look out to see the world around them. It is a good illustration and I'm going to keep using it...

As much as I like the saying , I cannot find YOU NEED TO GET THE LIFE, (emphasis on THE LIFE) anywhere in the Bible.

Dale have you been studying the Bible?
I know it's not in the Bible. Jesus said " I am the way, the truth, and THE LIFE." You need Jesus.
