If you are OA or one2one and you get someone who claims that they have read the bible eg) backslidden christian, atheist, etc..
Ask them if they have read the book of Hezekiah...
The majority of people say I have read the whole bible so yes I have read the book of Hezekiah...
Then you can say well you are a liar because there is NO book of Hezekiah and all liars will have their part in the lake of fire etc...

Is this a down under thing?
I remember an exchange student from Australia played this trick on a girl in our small group, just as a joke. She sure felt embarassed after admiting she had read it.

I'm not surprised that you "Christians" would pull such sneaky tricks. Making someone lie, and you say we're going to hell. Here they are debating with you and getting you guys an audience and you do that. Tsk, tsk.

I heard someone from my church use it... Maybe it is something 'Aussie' because the majority of people have never read any of the bible.

Hmm, challenging someone with a legalistic trap used to disprove the faith, knowledge, or virtue? That rings a bell. I could have sworn I have read something similar in a book, though I don't think it wa in The Book of Hezekiah...

How is it legalistic?

You know what? It's not particularly legalistic. I had a rough day today and I made a snarky post. I do think that as a tactic it is sneaky and underhanded, but I gave in to my bad mood and made my point in an inaccurate and unfair manner.
