If anyone ever says, "your throwing stones" (the woman caught in the act of adultery) and thereby calls you a judgemental hypocrite, first, disregard the insult and second, say this:
So in saying that you are doing TWO things. One you are placing a stone in my hand, and two you are putting yourself in the place of the woman. SO, what sin did I catch you in? Are you an adulterer too? Are you a liar? etc.....
That is my thoughts, what do you think?

I think if you did it to me, then I would say "Yes, I'm a sinner. So are you, but you're the one with the stone in your hand, not me."
Honestly, I think the best way to handle that situation would be to say "I'm not throwing stones, I'm offering my help. Sorry to have offended you with it. Can I buy you lunch, so that I might hear your opinion and talk to you about it?"
I've done it before, and it seems to catch people off guard. Kill hatred with kindness. Thats my way of doing things.

This advice is good for 1-2-1 but not for O/A.
