I have heard segments of many of you OA preach. I was just wondering if you preach just a basic law/grace message or put together a mini 'sermon'. I started off just preaching law/grace, good person etc. I recently (2 months ago) bought a note bible. This has a blank page next to each page with the bible text written on it. I have been selecting verses and preaching on them. Eventually bringing it back to the law/gospel. Here is an example: 'There Is A Generation' (Prov 30:11-14) 'The bible talks about a generation that: 1) that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. (breaking 5th commandment) 2) that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. (do not see their sin as serious - concentrate on heart sins - 6th, 7th and 10th) 3) O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. (God resisteth the proud but giveth grace to the humble - need to humble yourselves) 4) whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, (filthy mouth, 3rd commandement) Ladies and gentleman this is our generation.... The onlt way you can be made clean is through the blood of Jesus Christ etc... I decided to do this to bring variety to what I preach. I have no problem with preaching the same message over and over again, I suppose I just don't want to be become like a robot and going through the motions. (I'm not saying anyone on here does this Just wondered what messages you preach.

I preach "mini sermons" and law/ grace. Sometimes I'll have a topic in mind that I will preach on for awhile. Other times it is just a general message of repentance.

Yeah as Ravenhill said, "Precherettes, preaching sermonettes to christianettes who smoke cigarettes!"
I think it is good to have an arsenel of sermonettes that youy can preach on while trying to draw a crowd. I have found that one topic will usually get someone's attention to get some engagement back and forth.

Another question.
Do you always preach the gospel what I mean by that is that Christ died for your sins, shed his blood etc.?
I think during O/A we always should even if the crowd is mocking and cursing because you just never know which one in that crowd will get convicted.
However, I think 1-2-1 is a different kettle of fish. If the person is clearly self righteous and there is no conviction then I believe we should not cast the pearl before the swine.
