video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8747553287565733819Lately I have taken the Michael Marcavage approach of Repent America to dealing with admin on public campuses. The truth is the permit process is unconstitutional. I don't believe Michael has ever lost a case on a campus when he was arrested. Free speech should be spontaneous. In this video you will see me being firm yet very courteous and polite in dealing with some admin and campus police. Every campus since this one I have preached on I have stood my ground and was willing to be arrested. The waiting periods and permits are not right. I haven't been arrested yet though it is possible I will be one day. I hope you are encouraged by this video and use it as a resource to open up other campuses for free speech. Blessings, Miles

I know that in certain "free speach" areas anyone is able to speak with or without a permit. From my understanding, at SUNY Oswego, the Quad is designated for events for either the Student Association (SA), the Student Association Planning Board (SAPB), SA-fee paying students, or events planned and/or carried out by SA or SAPB. Since you aren't a SA-fee paying member, I think that's why at Oswego you have to fill out the permit.
I have a copy of a permit form if you want it to make copies for when you come back to SUNY Oswego. Also, when are you coming back to pick up that paper? Classes end this week, and finals the week after. So, when are you coming back for your visit? lol

So, when are you coming back for your visit? lol BA Yeah, I have talked at length with Dr. Hughes and pretty much we came to an agreement that I would jest let them know when I would be coming. They didn't say I had to have a permit or a waiting period, just that they would like that I notify them as soon as I know that I would be in campus. I thought that was very reasonable. By law I know that I, just like people coming to debate me, can just speak without filling out reservations. Lately I have found that some campuses are trying to tell me that I don't need a permit, just that I need to reserve the space that is reservable. I am still trying to work that one through. I have heard that some court cases have upheld the reservation policy and some have not. The permit process, especially with waiting periods such as 24 hour notice or 3 day notice or I have seen as much as 10 day waiting periods are not constitutional. Campuses can reserve the right for use of facilities and such; like rooms and tables and sound equipment and what not. However, outside in PUBLIC traditional public forums no reservation should be needed. I have found that campuses are trying to say that the whole campus is "facility" there for "facility reservations" need to be filled out. In conclusion, if you just work it out with the campus admin, they are usually willing to accommodate you if you are polite and all. There is never a reason (especially as Christians) to be rude to those in authority, even if they are in error. Blessings, Miles

Way to stand up brother. If I didn't have a wife, three kids and no money, I would do the same. Even though, I am sure my time will come...probably sooner then later...God Bless...

Yeah Kerrigan, the way it is now though (I can't say what the future holds)... is in less than an hour you are out and charges always get dropped and the case thrown out. A friend (who has a family) of mine here in Syracuse has been arrested three times now, he has always made out ok. I don't believe there even ends up being a single court cost.
Blynn, I have a great book my family would love to send you. It is called "Created to be His Help-meet" by Debbi Pearl. It has blessed our family tremendously. If you pm your mailing address we will get it out asap.
Blessings,
Miles

Great stuff.. dont take this the wrong way... but.. arent we meant to go and leave our wives.. children mother brother for God.. if he calls us to? I can never quite get my head round that... but also... I can see how those who are married.. seem to be... held back.. I am sure.. we can go in faith.. even if we are married... I did as a single parent with no money and two kids..for 5 months to another country and would do it again if the Lord led me to.. I went.. and God Provided miraculousy... but only go if you are called...dont limit God because of being married.. thats sad.. or because of no money.. if he calls he will provide.. a way and all you need.. I could tell you many testimonies of miraculous provision.. but maybe thats because I am a single parent.. God took me out of my box... and I wont get back in it.. again.. lol.. Maybe I am wrong.. and stand to be corrected.. but wives are meant to enable a man to be all God is calling him to be... thats how I feel.. even for short trips.. excursions... theres a whole world out there... for two weeks a month.. whatever.. take them too... What does that other verse mean... about being married but living as if youre not... just a question... two become one.. right.. so.. I guess the one things means.. both.. would.. do the same thing... and desire to serve God.. Maybe why I am not married.. eh>? lol.. God Bless... If I was.. I would say yeah go... go and do the Lords work.. that would please me more than staying...if he calls... I guess its a decison both have to decide on..

Thanks Miles. I sent you a PM. Menorah, your so right and I will not let that hold me back. God has laid it on my heart to have a ministry that is just one on one.Im also trying to get involved in my church. I emailed the pastors wife because she was feeling overwhelmed and I told her what ever she needed basically here I am and would you know I got no reply. That's so typical in a church institution. They were preaching on and on about the clergy moving over and the laity moving up but it doesn't seem like that is really where their heart is.We go to an assemblies of God Church.Weve been going there off and on for about 18 years. My husband has the gift of a prophet too.He is against Christmas and Easter. We do not celebrate either one.Our church wants us to become members but we feel we are already part of the body of Christ. My husband is great at writing letters and he wrote a letter to the pastor about church membership. If he sees something unscriptural he is not shy about addressing it. My gifting is more for outreach and that's not where my husband is at right now so I have to sort of wing it on my own. Right now I work at a Christian Bookstore and Im surprised how many unsaved people come in there also alot of Catholics. It's a great atmosphere and I just listen to worship music all day long. Also, please pray for my husband because he has sleep apnea and his heart stops continually when he is sleeping and it's getting worse and more frequent. David Wilkerson has a sermon called "God Closes Doors and God Opens Doors" and its on video on his websight.

Thanks I love Wilkerson downloaded about 50 sermons today as I am going to be offline for awhile. And am going away to a place out in the sticks.. a place where there is no worldly influence.. to meet with God.. looking forward to the feast... and feel anticipation in my spirit that I am going to meet with the Lord in a deeper way. So pray for me also my children and grandson. Grant 25, Tia 21, Laura 16 Jordan 14 and Rhys 3. Will be praying for you and yours. We stand before God on our own on judgement day and I am sure as you push ahead with the Lord and your husband sees you radiant it will do something in his Spirit too.
