I am praying that this newsletter will reach many ears, the message in it is from God and I believe is going to shake many to flee from a superficial christianity. ------ Subscribers, IT IS QUITE disheartening to read any Christian magazine or news item these days. They are full of sex scandals, financial fruads, comprimising christians, powerless pastors and man-made movements. Where is God in it all? Is God purifying His Church? God is preparing Himself a "glorious Church" that is "denying ungodliness and wordly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world." God is speaking loud and clear to our generation, "I know your works!" Oh may every pastor and layperson that reads this newsletter realize that "God knows!" It is time to stop playing games with Church and get right with God and be the Church Militant on earth once again. God is looking for a people to show Himself strong on behalf of! "Let no man decieve you." God's word stands firm, we will all approach His judgement seat with the same Bibles and same opportunities. "Be zealous therefore and repent." "The great battles, the battles that decide our destiny and the destiny of generations yet unborn, are not fought on public platforms, but in the lonely hours of the night." -Samuel Logan Brengle Greg Gordon SermonIndex.net Moderator View the newsletter here: SermonIndex.net Newsletter: "THE CHURCH THAT WOULD NOT SUFFER!"www.injesus.com/index.php?module=message&task=view&MID=0B007BZ8&GroupID=5B007820

Brother Greg, the tone of your newsletters is that of isolation, Brother.
I see this on SI quite alot, and from the writings of those on your Board, it appears your articles and the articles of others have read in your forum members a sense of, "We're the real church...come to us and find reality...only we have the truth while most others are false and hate holiness."
This perception can easily been backed up by reading the masses of posts on your forum.
This should concern every Believer.
For example, Brpther Greg, you have many times rebuked Jesse for posting hsi articles on your site, and yet you post here without reservation and with complete freedom.
You have lambasted others if they have posted anything on your site which you personally did not feel should be there; yet you have posted on others' sites without reservation and with complete freedom.
My heart is grieved that your forum looks to be more like a haven for lone rangers and those with a "we''re the True Bride!" mentality.
My heart is grieved that you would so freely post your thoughts here and elsewhere and yet claim that Jesse and possibly others who post on your forum are not to post unless "you" approve.
This is something which the Brethren here should be concerned with.
Your postings are great, for the most part; however, by isolating the Brethren and holding on to your own forum as though you were in control of it, wqhen God is to be the Lord of all things godly, may partly be the cause of the spirit of "everyone but us wants to be Holy" as seen over and over and over again on your Forum.
Brother, this isn't spoken out of anger; my heart is grieved over your standards concerning your own posts and yet your seperate standard over others' and the attitude displayed by you on this Board.
If Jesse were to speak to you on your Board as you do him on this one, you'd ban him in a moment; I can verify this easily, as I know firsthand how you respond to anything that you do not approve of.
Please, Brother Greg, consider how you treat the Brethren and please be aware that your isolationist attitude may be more harmful than beneficial.
Consider that when others rebuke you in humility or even in the flesh you do not need to resort to dictatorship on your Forum, as you freely rebuke others elsewhere when you feel it is needed.
Brother Greg, SI is a great resource site; there is no question there.
Please remember that your site is a site....a Forum to discuss; your site is not a church with the Church's holiest people who are accountable to no one but you.
Please be aware that we should always use the same standard for ourselves that we use with others.
Rather than consistently ban people, rebuke people and do as you please, why not do unto others on your Board what they allow for you on their's?
God bless you, Brother Greg; I pray you will see my words as an exhortation.
In Christ,
Dan Lirette

This perception can easily been backed up by reading the masses of posts on your forum. This should concern every Believer. I've not really noticed that before. I don't agree at all. Plainly people go there because of all the "old preachers" and are wanting "revival. " No different than people come here because they are interested in "street preaching." Jesse has only been asked not to post reports because it causes an uproar. I've not seen Greg say "you have to check with me before you post," to Jesse. I could be wrong, but I've never read it. I doubt Greg is against Jesse's ministry or anything like that. Look through the photos on Jesse's site. You will find some recent photos of Greg preaching with OAO. Dan, there are plain rules on Greg's site. There are practically none here. If Jesse had a list of "rules" or asked Greg not to post certain things then it would be different. Now Dan, that is silly. Would it be silly for me to accuse you of "acting as though you were in control" of your message board? Of course it would. In all honestly, there are times I wish there was more moderating on this site. When there were more moderators on the site, it caused a stir because people didn't like who Jesse chose. EDIT: I apologize if my post looks like it's hasty. I just don't understand your response.

Josh, I could post a few hundred "the church is apostate" posts with the implication that SI is not and that SI is the "place for the real church".... I read SI posts every single day and a friend of mine sends me some interesting posts every few weeks.
Also, I'm not taking about OAO and Greg, Brother Josh... I'm not even talking about debating; it's not that at all.
I'm concerned at SI's stand against everyone and anything that doesn't confirm to SI's guidelines and rules; it's a frieghtening thing and if you seek an answer for clarification, I will verify my statements with posts from Brother Greg, from his own writings, and from masses of SI posts.
I wrote the above out of concern; I don't want to debate.
