Bro, I didn't know you were allowed to preach that long in a Baptist Church. I think you did a good job!

Of course it is Dan, but you usually don't see a sermon last more than 45 minutes unforunately... ;D

You should have been in our Church meeting Sunday before Christmas. Since our Pastor resigned one of the elders spoke...15 minutes and said uh well I guess thats all ;D Praise God he is truly a humble man, just not a preacher.

Yeah, funny thing is this was probably the shortest I have ever preached from this pulpit (except when doing Sunday School where there was an actual time restraint). I have sort of gotten a reputation for being a little long winded at the pulpit. I have really been working on keeping my thoughts more concise. I thought I did ok this time. I asked someone else if they thought I went too long and they said "No way, it was perfect you shouldn't have shortened it". And she was a calvinist! BTW, technically my church isn't Baptist, it is "non denominational with Baptist leanings" as my pastor has said. I guess it could be classified as an independent baptist. Thanks for the encouragement brother.

fantastic sermon. , I pray that god keeps reminding me of this again and again!! I know when I got baptised , I waited and did not, my friends in the christian school most of them backslidden. I have seen so many people depart from the faith! We had a guy called Stuart Dole preach about the Judgement of God. I read the whole of ezekial all the way through and it convicted me. This was along time ago now. I just want to serve Jesus 100% that was what I said at my baptism. I want to go 400% now and even more. Jesus saved me from pornography and he is continually saving me from sin. I have to continue to repent and trust in God. I remember struggling with it and god convicting me until now I hate it and loathe it with a godly hatred.
It is interesting that you brought up the example of Saul and David, One time I almost lost my job and failed my driving test and I had to cut up my bank card because I spent to much money. I read through the entire books of Samuel to 2 Chronicles it convicted me and made me know that god cared for me. David's life is amazing, I could write reams on this one story.
I stuggled with 3 years about could god give a bad prophecy such as a bad judgement and yet is love. I came to the conclusion that he could. The Prophet Michah is one , he loved Ahab more than all the other False Prophets and could have stopped Ahab from dying but Ahab went knowly to his death like most. They did not want to see them die but because of there choices they brought it on themselves.

I think it is only in WAV format. Audacity program available on fireonthealtar.com has an mp3 converter I think. I could convert it but I will have to find time likely not until the weekend.

I can convert it. I should have it e-mailed to you, Miles, in about 10 minutes.
EDIT: I mailed it to both of you.
