John, Kerrigan, and I just completed our first radio show "Refining Fire". You can listen to the show online or download it here: www.blogtalkradio.com/RefiningFireRadioWe introduced the purpose and object of the show, started some of the segments, and even took some callers. Let us know what you guys think about the show.

John, Nida, Angela and I were just listening to the audio of the radio show and just found out that the last 6:30 min or so were cut off. You can hear Jesse again at some point, but John, myself and the caller were cut off. We did answer his question. Oh well, we will just have to address it at the beginning of next week's show. I don't know what happened. For those of you who were listening, could you hear us speaking? The music at the end of the show even played and I am the one who started it. That's weird...

Maybe we can play the audio recording of his call sometime during the next show so that we could answer his question.

No, you couldn't hear much anything after he asked his question. It was silent. Then I heard your closing music at the end.

Everything looked right on our end. Oh well, we will just pick-up where we were cut-off last week...

I didn't hear the end of the program, as we were off to our evening service, but I noticed the audio quality ebbing and flowing during the show. I don't know if the problem was local or on your end.
Other than that, I thought it was a great show. Praise the Lord!
P.S. Sorry Dale, I like the name they picked better.

We were trying to figure out what happened also as our discussion continued with Pastor Dustin. We thought Jesse got cut off but actually the mp3 you can hear Jesse saying I got cut off and his dog Kaylee barking in the background. Also, we think we have the interference problem cleared up so next week should have nicer fidelity.

I haven't made it too the end of the show just yet but (theology aside - That's an oxymoron) it was very good. The segments were great! Hope you don't mind if we barrow some - Maybe we can have dueling quotes.... Enjoyed the points on Openairpreaching.com! Hopefully you will be interested in adding "Brother RC" to the site?
Jesse sounds like you were using a bad cell phone and tech issues are always a problem....
BTW - could you email me the Cricket clip?

Thanks for the compliments brother. Borrow anything you like. I don't mind. Brother RC is actually one of the ones that I have on a list to add. I think I have about 5-6 to add altogether. We hope to have some of the technical problems worked out before next time. Have any tips about how to handle some of the technical issues? Did you and Jeff ever have any that you had to work through? If so, what did you do? Thanks...

Listened to about half of the program thus far, and am enjoying it. It's a pretty hard time for me to listen live with all the Sunday church activities, but I will stay up on the pod-cast.

Nice isolation Pastor Dustin put on Isa 63:17. Without the context, it gives one the impression that God just arbitrarily hardened those people (Isaiah's audience). I don't know if Pastor Dustin was trying to do that, but proof-texting is a good way to re-enforce ones cherished beliefs.
Since the back-end of the audio dropped out, I went and read the whole of Isa. 63 to get the larger picture of what was being said. Verse 10 is helpful in illuminating the context.
“But they rebelled And grieved His Holy Spirit; Therefore He turned Himself to become their enemy, He fought against them.”
This chapter recounts a familiar historical scenario of God's blessing, the people straying into sin and rebelling, making God their enemy. But from Isaiah's perspective, he still sees a history rich in Mercy if these same people will but come back to their senses, repent and return to obedience.
So, if Isaiah's audience had also rebelled and had made God their enemy, as seems clear it me, God may have hardened them, either directly (as perhaps in the case of Pharaoh) or indirectly as when a person hears truth but does not obey (In this case God would have set up the laws of mind by which such hardening occurs).
I think Isaiah, in recounting the previous history is making a plea to God to remember His people, that God would renege on continuing to keep the people in this state. I also think repentance would be implied in this judging from what the whole of scripture says about such things.
In any case, just because God may harden those who become his enemies does not imply that it is without reason. Nore that such hardness, depending upon degree, make it impossible to come to repentance and a return to favor.

Did you and Jeff ever have any that you had to work through? If so, what did you do? Thanks... Great that way I won't be "stealing" your "intelectual property"! ;D As far as the tech errors go we never ran into anything like that? I'd watch the mute buttons and answer buttons - I never use mute because they react slow, the controls are on about a 8 second delay so don't click too much wait for the switchboard to react. ALSO REMEMBER YOU CAN DO AN AFTERSHOW!!!! When you are having a good discussion or have a good caller you can keep going for up to an hour after you scheduled time and people can download. Any time we have a good discussion going we keep the audio recording. You could have done this with Pastor Dustin... It apears that after a few minutes the board caught up and you were able to hear Jesse and cue up the closing audio. I've been completely hung up on as host and just called back in and the show keeps recording - no one even notices. Remember that anything you say while streaming and logged in to to board is recording always use mute on your phone if you are not wanting something to be recorded. Also use good phones. Voice volume is not as important as making sure all of your statements get across... Ask Clay! Also Jesse you have the same problem Matt and I have - we get conversational and our voice level drops and it's hard to hear what we are saying. I often stand up and pace in the room as to not lower my voice to a conversational level - kinda like preaching... We usually do an aftershow each week and do a little debriefing, just conversation of random things, etc.... I'll email you some photos of Ryan shortly for the site...

Brother Ricky! I'm doing very well. How are you doing? I saw a video recently of you and some other brothers preaching outside of a High School, having some problems with the Police. I hope everything worked out OK. You can download the radio shows in mp3 format here: www.blogtalkradio.com/RefiningFireRadio

So when am I going to get to be on as a guest. During Christmas holidays we can set it up for you to call here with a live interview as I have done loads of live radio interviews before.
The only thing is your show might be out of business by then because Jesus told me he wanted you to take my suggestions (especially Dead From the Neck Up Radio) and you went with your own impulses in selecting a name instead. He will punish you for your disopbedience.

Distort the gospel however you want. Religion is completely a faith thing. Doesn't matter what you believe as long as you blindly follow it.
Please do everyone a favor and blindly follow yourself off a cliff and stop preaching hellfire. It gets rather tiresome after some time.

You are supressing the truth of God. Stop being so foolish, you speak just as your father the devil. If you will not turn from your wickedness you will be justly condemned by the God who has the power and authority to crush you to powder. Do you have ALL knowledge Mr. Atheist? Can you prove your blind faith there is NO God? I did not think so...
