I don't particularly like you, Mucah and that us a fact,. I do not hate you, because we have never met personally and as such you have not done anything directly to me, but I do not like you. I believe you do provoke people, but again, that does not give these people the right to pgysically attack you, so I am in the odd position of taking your side on this one.

Some dude slapped you? Open hand? Seriously? If he was going to hit you, he should have at least punched you like a man.
Oh well, putting that aside, you know my stand, violence is never the solution.

Micah - Did you really tell the guy he had been raped as a child??? If this is true, then I am not sure where it is stated in the gospel that we as followers of Christ are allowed to taunt others in such an insensitive way. Would you have asked the same of a woman?? I fully support Open Air preaching but let's do so in humility and be representatives of the gospel brother and not do anything that would allow people to lay a false claim or accusation against us.

Brother,
I hate when people lie to try to justify the evil action of a person. Stay strong

I am sure Micah egged this guy on, if some of the brief clips of him preaching in his stupid looking hat are true. However, you don't go up and slap someone or attack someone you diafree with and if he had to be physical this was even more lame as like Kurenji or whatever said and I agree.... if the guy was gonna get physical, he could have at least come swinging like a man.
All of these street preachers here seem to pull the same stuff and then wonder why someone loses it on them. Still, that does not justify the actions of these people . If they get ticked at rhe street preacher , what is wrong with a counter demonstration, or telling profanities at them, flipping them off and walking away? You don't have to turn violent on them
It again seems odd to take Micah's side. I hope this does not happen often.

The guy was spuing out venom and hatred for God and the Bible. I believe from my experience and knowledge of dealing with sinners each day on campus and the streets I figured the guy had some tramatic thing happen to him as a child.
I have also had many people admit this to me in public and they usually blame God and use it as an excuse to live any way they want to.
I also believe it could have been the Lord that revealed this to me.
I did not remember saying anything about the guy being raped (although I thought that) but when I went back and listened to the recording I had mentioned something about thinking he was raped as a child.
I said it like this "You probably were raped as a child?".
It was not an accusation but a question. Looking back I do not think I should have said it but I was trying to deal with his problem of hatred for God and not trying to provoke and antagonize him.
He threatened me to never mention anything about his childhood again or he would destroy me.
I did not say anything else about his childhood but he continued to rant and spue venom towards me, the Bible and God.
When I finally got a chance I explained to him that God is a God of judgment and God brings judgment upon groups of people who continue to refuse to repent (genocide).
I told them I believed God would use the muslim fundamentalists to bring genocide on America because we will not repent of our sins of abortion, homosex, immorality and greed.
I then explained that God is not making people do evil things they do. They have a free will and can make free choices.
When you have selfish people making selfish choices then innocent people are going to get hurt.
I then said something like "For example something happened to you when you were young".
He then came down in my face and demanded that I apologize. I refused because I was not trying to provoke him nor had I said anything untrue.
He drove both fists into my chest full force twice and then whapped me across the face.
Yes in looking back there was some things I would have done differently.

At least he hit you in the head where he wouldn't do any damage.

yeah rape is definitely one of those things you don't bring up in public Micah. Shouldn't have hit you, but you shouldn't have pushed it either, also by his reaction, he probably was.

Michah - lets be careful brother to use wisdom when preaching the gospel. If the Holy Spirit revealed this young man's past it was not to taunt him, but I would suggest that God reveals these thing so that we can appeal to the person's heart and mind. Yes, preach repentance but I would at the same time emphasize that God is heart broken over the pain and suffering this young man has suffered but that this does not excuse him of his sin, but that he is even more responsible for them. I would suggest we be as wise as serpents and gentle as doves.

prespilot68,
Yes I agree. Did you read my post above or not?
I thought I made it clear I was not trying to antagonize or taunt him.
By the way although I do agree with what you are saying but things are always easier to look back on and say "I should have done this or that".
What would really help me is some video footage of yourself preaching to large, rowdy crowds throwing all kinds of taunts, accusations, trick questions and threats at you all at once.
I get all kinds of advice on how I should have handled situations by those who have never been in those situations.
Where do you preach open air at?

Honestly Micah, you do serve to lessen the credibility of Christianity as a whole. Your frequent inability to use Christ's intellectual gifts to counter the venom spewed in your direction cast a negative light on Christ's truths. It is clear from the level of your speeches that any divine inspiration has left you, likely as a result of your own pride and feelings of self-worth. Attempting to justify your status as a prophet of Christ based on relative hatred in relation to sinners was utterly fallacious. Certainly the world hates the truth and the light, but when you succomb to reasoning that hatred of an individual confirms their message you are factually errant. Please repent, stop sinning, and return to doing God's work, or retire yourself so as to preserve the credibility of our mighty and all-powerful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Micah is there no end to your arrogance and ego? Your response to nonchristians is laughable enough, but you even dismiss any fellow Christians who makes a post against you, gives advice or pops the bubble of the narrow-midned world you live in. This is why I hate you and all nonchristians who are hostile to you hate you. It is not because they are convicted of sin. It is because they are outraged by your arrogance, your lack of compassion, your self-justification, your foolsihness. Can'tyou even come up with new material? This "send some footage of YOU street preaching to angry crowds" Has been used and reused by you to the point it gets sickening. I do not believe heaven or your Jesus is real, but if he does exist , I can say I welcome hell rather than having to share heaven with the likes of a blowhard like you. Don;t repent liekt he guy above wants, Micah, just keep going as you are for I am sure when all is said and done, if hell is real, on the rare chance it is, you and all other like you are going to end up down there with me,...so see you soon. Just don't move in next to me and street preach down there as hearing you on earth is bad enough. Someone like you is the best defense a nonchristian could have as you demonstrate the total arrogance and lack if common sense of your religion. If pride is a sin then you are the biggest sinner of all of us. How does that verse go about logs in eyes? You have an oak tree in yours.

veritas,
Let me get this straight...preaching the Bible means a person lacks divine inspiration?
Jesse Morrell once said 85% of all my preaching is direct Bible verbatim. That is not my words but his.
Others who have preached with me will tell you the same thing. Ask Brother Ross. Ask anyone.
I already admitted I could have used better judgment so why are people who never attempt to preach outdoors going to continue to tell me how to handle those situations.
Besides I admitted I agreed with him.
No the real issue for you Veritas is so called hypocrites like yourself lack credibility because you will either have to admit to all the student body around you that I am preaching the truth and you are not living up to it and are a hypocrite or repent, clean house and live up to the truth of the Bible.
You are unwilling to do the latter so you join in with the drunkards, pot smokers, masturbators, homosexuals, fornicators, etc. and criticize the messenger because you don't like the message because you are as guilty as they are.

That's actually kind of humorous.
I had the idea to write an article to the Christian community (based on a book appearing in a twilight zone episode) "To Serve Man" it would be a polemic work on Christians devouring other Christians, and a serious call for Christians to be truly servant hearted toward their brothers and sisters in Christ.

You know Micah, just like your friend Sara Palin, you constantly repeat yourself with the same tired and annoying phrases and dull responses . Whenever anyone, Christian or nonchristian is critical of you, you respond with the same arrogant garbage, every single time. Always, you throw out this attitude of who do you think you are to give me orders or tell me what to do. Well, that can work for me as well.
Why was your challenge to me never accepted? Because it was an idiotic challenge made to me by an idiot I hold in the utmost contempt. The challenge is beneath me. Likewise, who are you where you think you are going to give me orders, talk down to me or issue games of Dare You? No, I think I will just continue to hate you and it is not becaue you convict me of my wickedness, whcih I am quite proud of as I would much rather be as I am than a hypocritical loudmouth caught up in his own delusions as you are. Or better still, I should do as some of the other sensible people who do not believe in Jesus or your preaching of the same and just laugh at you as comic relief as really, that is all you are good for.

Tell Micah you won't accept any challenge from him for free and he needs to pay you money for an answer. That will shut him up.

The only people dumber than Brother Armstrong are those who think he somehow is doing a service by angering his audience to the point of violence. It is not convictyion of sin, but Micah's arrogance, his false pride, his condenscending attitude, his name calling and his hypocrisy which is revolting. If this loudmouth embodies the attriobtues of christ than I am glad Jesus is a myth for if he existed as reality I would want nothign to do with him or his. I would gladly embrace hell as an alternative to spending eternity in heaven with such a savior and his followers. Instead of slapping him, I wish this man would have hit Micah over the head with a baseball bat.
