A few of you may know of our on going struggles with a local campus here in the Yuba County area and the resistance we have received in the past year as we have attemped to preach, tract and one 2 one on the campus as well as partner with the Christain Club. We have been working with the ADF and this week after a year of preparing Brother RC filed suit in Federal Court. Please keep us in prayer as we defend the liberties afforded to us by the US Constitution. reformedevangelist.com/?p=820

I'm not a big fan of you guys going on college campuses(mostly for the reason that you are trying to debate with people in the academic peak of their life meaning you will lose most debates as I've seen from most youtube videos) but I think you are right on this one. Passing out information and talking to students I think is fine.
Now yelling at them and other things like that is a little extreme in my book and can be considered disturbing the peace and instigating violence so just be careful guys.

David,
I'm no expert at debate, though I am learning.
But you should see some of Miles Lewis' videos on Google Video. On Google video you can upload videos longer than 10 minutes. There's some really great debates by Miles in the open air on college campuses. Just search "Open Air Outreach" and "Miles Lewis."

If there is no arguing and yelling that will entertain me I'm blaming you Jeffery. ;D

Kids at the top of their academic peak? God I hope not, my college is full of pot heads and idiots. The smart ones either keep walking, or sit and watch with me.
Most of the "Christian" kids who think they are debating are often just bringing up points that either have no biblical backings, or very misinterpreted biblical backings. Then the crowd hears what they like to hear, they cheer and the idiot thinks he won.
Not to mention it's nearly impossible to actually debate when you have a hundred people all yelling different questions and no one is taking turns or waiting for answers. Seriously, next time a hellfire preacher comes out, instead of joining in with the crowd mentality of "lets stump the stupid preacher man." Why don't you just sit and watch the crowd and really think about what they are saying. You'll find it's just a bunch of "Softcore Christians" being defensive about not wanting to give up their sins.
I really don't see why it's so hard to understand... If you're a christian, stop doing things against the bible. Stop having sex with your girlfriend, stop getting high, stop getting drunk. Whatever. I mean, don't think I'm a hypocrit, no I don't live by these moral standards but as you guys know I'm not a Christian either so I have no need to. Heck, half of these guys should just admit they aren't really Christians in the first place. Why do they keep latching onto that idea that they are if they don't follow the rules? Doesn't make sense to me. Are they afraid of hell? Are they afraid that they won't fit in society without a religion? (I know this one stinks from personal experience.) Maybe they just don't have a better choice that fits their life style better.
Oh well, that ends my random rant. I'm done hijacking the thread.

kureji those potheads and people like that you talk about are usually the ones that end of dropping out of college.
I'm not saying they are Einsteins but seriously I think most of them have a better grasp on philosophical views on life than most street preachers.

David, how have you 'scientifically measured' what you suppose about open air preachers? Have you seen all the preachers there are to see?
Kureji, thanks for you honest post, very refreshing for someone who has not trusted Jesus yet. God bless you, may you do that soon.
David, aren't a hypocrite by your own arbitrary standard?
Do you think 'intelligence' = wisdom?
God says that wisdom starts with the fear of Him. Apparently, you don't have that fear = your foolishness
Do you think you have ALL knowledge? Do you maybe have 10% of ALL knowledge?

No John I have not seen every single street preacher but for the few that I have seen, many of them being on this board, and others like Jed Smock I have come to the conclusion that you guys obviously don't know what you are talking about. Seriously you guys sound so hypocritical when you talk it is amazing.
Finding our souls and way in life should not be based on fear and hate which is where you guys are getting it wrong. What is screaming at a bunch of kids going to do other than scar them for life and become afraid like you?
It most likely won't go down that way. You will most likely like I'm sure you have heard hundreds of times before turn more people away from christianity with your hate and intolerance.
