Got the e-mail today Jesse... twice for some reason. Maybe because I'm a sinner you feel I need to read it twice, eh? lol. Anyways, I did read it twice.
Just some general comments on it as a whole.
First of all, while I may not agree with your beliefs, but I agree with your right to say them. Now, on to the commentary.
I would like to see a little less bias in this, if at all possible. As a journalist, I cringe every time I read one, simply because it gives no attempt to see things from the other side. While I understand that it is your newsletter and you are using it to get out your message, after a while, it just becomes the same old same old in the same newsletter.
Concerning your run-ins with the law and hecklers, especially the guy who hurt his ankle... I am very saddened that you chose to attribute his dousing you in water to him hurting his ankle, a type of "righteous justice", if you will. No offense, but I don't believe that God cares about you enough or that someone was heckling you enough to be that... well, petty.
As for the law, it may not have been that the cops were trying to stifle your freedom of speech, they may have just been able to foresee that a problem could arise from your preaching standing on a bench or using a bullhorn, such as such a big crowd gathering that a riot started (happens to drunk people in large groups, someone says the wrong thing, etc) or assaults, etc.
Just some thoughts for the future.

Sorry Jesse, but you came across as arrigant and unchristlike in this display. It is nothing to be proud of and does nothing to firther the cause of Christ. Wgile I am dead set against assaults on street preacghers , your own actions left a lot to be desired.

I would have done the same.
The man was dangerous. Could you imagine what someone like that might have done if some good "samartian" in the crowd to to restrain him from venting his anger? Selfishness knows no bounds.
The First Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, John Jay, once sentenced a man to death for a brutal crim he committed. John Jay, being a godly man, a well saved christian, stated that it was his wish that while the man was awaitinge xecution some days later that he would seek God and repent of His sins to obtain God's mercy and inherit the Kingdom of God. The man was still executed...
All that to say: The law without enforcement/punishment is merely a SUGGESTION and not a law at all.

I in no way condone violence or o physical abuse toward a street preacher, but this go around Jesse's actions were totally unbecoming a Christian did nothing for the cause of Christ. rather than a man of God he looked like a spoiled kid trying to get attention for himself at an adult party. Whether this is his board ornot, he needs to be called on this, just as he and some of you others are consonantly calling me or others concerning their walk with Christ.
Jesse, there is no doubt you have done some good things, but you have been messing up badly. I suggest you pray and get yourself back on track.
Jeffrey if you would have done the same as Jesse, then you are also wrong, just like he is.
I pray your have success as minsters ont he street and respect the danger involved, and you be all they can be, yet there is more to being a Christian than just hollering at people on a college campus.

I wouldn't be doing this out of some kind of selfish indignation - but out of serious concern for the public.
P.s. I'm not trying to judge your walk with the Lord. I'm just discussing the topics broached here. :-)

Good , good. WE have different ways of witnessing and different ways of dealing with spiritual matters, which is why it is called a PERSONAL relationship with Jesus. However some of you think you are somewhat less of a Christian if you are not out street preaching and we all are not cut for that avenue. I prefer a friendly tract ministry. I also love Way of the Master at www.wayofthemaster.com I still maintain Jesse came across very badly in this and missed many opportunities given him to let this situation work for the benefit of Christ. Jesse should perhaps consider getting a real job and working at it (You know Jesse, if you don't work you donl't eat) and just forget about the ministry,. Withe very email, minsitry report and video it becomes more and more obvious he is pushing people away from Christ and not toward Him. This is a disservice to Jesus. Plain and simple.
