It seems here lately I have been running into a lot of atheist.
I ran into one atheist that was just totally unreasonable. I asked him if he had ever told a lie and his response was "Humans can't tell lies! Only untruths." Where do people get this junk? Of course I told him that if he looked it up he would see that is the same thing. Then his response was "Well, yeah, if you look it up!." This guy was full of confusion. One of the last things he told me was that he did not speak English. I asked him then what language have we been using?! He said, " I speak me" and told me that " teachers flunk me in English class so that if proof I can't speak, write, or read English." We gave him an Atheist Test and he began to read it....
I know to always swing the conversation toward the moral law and the conscience but does anyone have any tips on dealing with atheists? When I deal with them I use a few illustrations.. the one about buildings and paintings that proves with logic that God created the earth. And one about gold in china. I tell them that they cannot make a statement like 'There is no God' because they do not have all knowledge. Just like you can't make a statement that "there is no gold in China" without knowing China top to bottom and know for sure that it is clean of gold. But to say that there is gold in china you just have to know that there is a piece of gold in china and you don't even have to know everything about China. And the same is true that I know there is a God, not because I know everything, but because I have experienced Him changing me.
Any tips or experiences?

I deal with Atheists all the time at my work, and the one thing that I am sure about...is that an Atheist is blinded by his/her sin. They cannot fathom the concept of an eternal God that loves them, yet will send them to hell for breaking His laws.
I have found the best thing to do is to give them the law and leave it at that. Even if they are not convicted of their sin you can usually tell when a person is truly contrite. It's pretty obvious. A lot of the time I won't even give them the "Good News" of Jesus. Mainly because the Bible says "the preaching of the cross to them that perishes is foolishness." So just give them the law and let the Holy Ghost do the rest. In time they will come around if you continue to pray for them (and DO be praying for them).
Hope this helps.

Yeah, I've found out that the conscience a great thing when witnessing. Regardless if they belive in God or not they have a conscience that can be pricked with the help of the Holy Ghost. I was just wondering if anyone had any wisdom dealing with them. Thanks.
