I was just curious I've noticed in some of you guys' pictures you didn't. Do you notice a difference when you are or arn't?
Anyone have any thoughts on it?

Well, there are also practical issues to open air preaching like getting peoples attention.
Elevation greatly helps.
But what I find to be of greater help is animation.
The more animated you are, the better. A great deal of these other great street preachers from the past like Whitefield, Wesley, Booth, Sunday, Torrey, Rader, were all very animated when they spoke.
If I am standing on a little step stool, it's hard for me to move around. I feel confined like a statue. But if there is an elevated plateform, I am all over it.
So it depends on what you find to be more valuable in getting someones attention, elevation or animation, and when you can do both.

Good point about animation Jesse. I definitely prefer prefer a step stool or some type of elevation, but many times for animation I jump down off of it to make certain points. I think this works well and keeps people interested.
