Is the sandwich board too light, since you are using foamboard? I have one about 1/2 made right now. I used foamboard. I am thinking about putting some type of weight so it will not flap up if the wind blows. Do you think it will need it?

I would put some kind of string or rope on the sides. I guess a side view would look like this... /-\ or maybe even move the side strap a little lower, like this... /_\
If you make it detachable somehow it should work nicely assuming that you are making it reversible. I have had that problem with the wind. A couple times it has blown around and made me look pretty funny. I suppose it didn't matter much, everyone down there was pretty much smashed anyway. A weight probably is not the best idea. When we get around to it we will make something for ours, some kind of strap.

I was thinking a small wooded boarder on the very bottom would weight it down enough, or just a string going along the bottom at both sides from one sign to the other.

You can't go wrong with a good sandwhich board. It's excellent for street preaching. We've been using ours on the streets of Georgia and it has helped get us crowds of 15 or so people at a time who come to hear what we have to say.

I finished mine Friday and used it this weekend. I like it. We have been using signs for awhile, so it's not really that much of a difference except I can now have my hands free.
