We were in the front page of the University of Central Florida newspaper today. The crowds have been increasing each day. www.centralfloridafuture.com/

Praise God!
Quote from article:
"Throughout his five-hour discourse, he made many claims including how Satan "is black," how women should only tend to their family and criticized sorority life. "
Satan is black??? I assume a misquote. Wondering where the paper got that from?

"He claims to be perfect, but nobody is perfect," Thomas said. "His list of sins apply to just about anybody."

Eric,
I am glad you do not think I really said that. What happened was a large crowd was all around me and one student behind me said in a loud voice something about satan being black, so I turned around and said with a puzzled look, "satan is black?" like I could not understand why they made that statement and then they quoted me as saying that.

My list of sins does not apply to me or any other real Christian I know of.

Ouch, that's pretty tricky if the heckler did it on purpose.

I think he did it on purpose, but I think most of the students know I never made that statement. They may think a lot of things about me, but I am sure most of them do not believe that.

Maybe a good solution in the future, if someone makes some kind of outlandish statement like that, would be to just make sure to answer in the negative rather than making a disbelieving query. It's good that the majority of people knew you didn't actually say that though

In a paper someone once "quoted" me as saying "Who is to say that Hitler was wrong?" also saying that I said, "good looking homosexual men should find UN-attractive lesbians and get married"
I have been misquoted not on paper in far worse scenarios. I have learned to be pretty careful with my wording, but it seems the crowd will almost always hear what they want to hear.

"Satan is black", they must have mixed you up with the Mormons! (satire). They believe all black people are devils, and they were cursed with black skin because in the angelic rebellion between Jesus and Lucifer (the brothers they claim), the white people are those who sided with Christ, and the black people are those who sided with Lucifer!
Anyways, rejoice when they say all manner of evil against you falsely Micah!

Amen! I was not fazed by any of it. Actually I think all media attention is good even if it is false. This is to be expected as Jesus told us it would happen.
The only bad attention would be in a case like Haggard where it was negative but true.
