The Holy Spirit was not yet given until Jesus was glorified. When did the Holy Spirit come down in a manner that you could say it was like "rivers of living water?"

Josh,
What do these texts mean?
Genesis 6:3
3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. KJV
Gen 41:38
38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?KJV.
Judg 6:34
34 But the Spirit of the LORD came upon Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abi-ezer was gathered after him. KJV.
Ps 51:11
11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. KJV.

Josh,
The Holy Spirit fell on "BELIEVERS" on pentacost, based on the "new light," a fuller understanding of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice.
Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. KJV.
Acts 2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. KJV.
Why did the the Holy Spirit come in a fuller way?
Acts 8:12
12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. KJV.
If people were full of faith in the Old Testament, they received the Holy Spirit! Even, now look at how few have the Holy Spirit in thier life! If we are not of one accord, and can not even agree on Bible doctrine, someone is wrong, and someone does not have the Holy Spirit, in a Salvational way. But in a drawing way! Meaning they are being drawn to the "FULLER" light, but have not accepted the truth!
Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. KJV.
After the ministry of Christ and His great sacrifice, there was great light, and a great amount of the Holy Spirit was needed to help live up to this light! Some people are being drawn, but have not fully accepted!

Josh,
Bother, could you please define for me the following Bible text? I am wondering what you think about it?
2 Cor 12:9
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. KJV.
1) "My grace is sufficient for thee..." a) Sufficient for what? b) What is grace?
2) "...for my strength is made perfect in weakness..." a) Why is Christ's strength made perfect in weakness? b) What weakness is he talking about?
3) "Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities..." a) Why is he to glory? b) What infirmities is he talking about?
4) "that the power of Christ may rest upon me." a) What power does Christ give? b) How does this power come on us?
Please let me know what you think? Thank you!

Josh,
What does God's grace do for us?
What power does it give us?
Does it give us power to obey?
If we have to obey, what are we to obey?
The Law of God, or whatever we feel like?
Where is the standard in the judgment?
IT THIS TRUE OR A LIE?
Matthew 5:19
19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. KJV
I believe what the Word of God says!!! We must do and teach the Law of God, by the grace of God, which is given to us by our faith, we receive power to obey!
John 1:12
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: KJV.
HOW DO WE BECOME SONS OF GOD???
John 1:16-17
16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. KJV.
The law is holy (Romans 7:12) and it is the standard in the judgment. The Holy Spirit is given so we can obey the Law. That is the Law, the Gospel, Salvation, the Word of God.

Matt 15:16-20
16 And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding?
17 Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man. KJV.
NOTE THAT IN VERSE 19 JESUS SAID LAW BREAKING DEFILES A MAN. THEN WE MUST KEEP the law! But HOW? By the power of God! How do we get the power of God?
Gal 4:6
6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. KJV.
BUT WHAT DOES THE SPIRIT DO FOR US?
John 1:12
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: KJV.
DOES THE HOLY SPIRIT THEN WRITE THE LAW IN OUR HEARTS?
Hebrews 8:10
10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: KJV.
SO WE ARE THE SONS OF GOD BECAUSE THE HOLY SPIRIT IS IN OUR LIFE WRITING THE LAW OF GOD IN OUR MIND AND HEART, AND WHEN THE LAW IS IN OUR HEART WE WILL NOT HAVE THE EVIL IN OUR HEART, JUST LIKE JESUS SAID.
19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
SO IF THE LAW IS IN OUR HEART (NEW COVENANT) THEN NO EVIL THOUGHTS, ADULTERIES, ETC.....
WOW THAT IS THE GOSPEL!!!
Matthew
