I got two messages saying that two of my videos, against homosexuality, violated YouTubes terms of use. Then about a minute later, it said my entire account has been suspended! I had only 500 videos, which it took me 2 years to get!
I am hoping that somehow I might be able to get my account back. YouTube was such a great tool to use for open air ministry.

I signed up because I could not find your videos. My prayers are with you. We probably should avoid taking Youtube to the secular courts, but if the videos are lost, maybe the ADF (Alliance Defense Fund) will be interested in taking your case.

Do you have the original videos that you uploaded stored somewhere else? If so, now may be a good time to look into posting them on a private website.
I hope they give you back your account. This is very frustrating!
More proof that the darkness HATES the Light! I am constantly having to scroll past semi-pornographic ads and videos on YouTube. Oh, but the horror that someone speaks out against homosexuality on their site. I would say it couldn't hurt to contact the ADF, but since YouTube is privately owned, there's probably not much you can do beyond contacting YouTube yourself and seeing if you can bring your video content within what they consider "acceptable".

YouTube is a private organization and can remove any videos or accounts they want. It is not public property or public domain.
I do have all of the original videos saved on an external hard drive. I could possibly open up a new account and upload the videos again (500 of them. That would take a while), and just stay away from the "homosexuality" issue in order to keep the account active. The only sad thing about all that is that all my subscribers (almost 500) will not automatically know about the new account. And the video "views" will start at 0 again.
It amazes me what YouTube allows (filth) and what it doesn't allow (purity).

Jesse,
I am sorry to hear of this. Many need to take note of this. You would think they would give you notice about said videos and only remove questionable videos. Many good training videos are not going to be seen. Can you upload to God Tube or Google?

What a dissappointment! I just favorited your Bigfoot Attack video.
I'll be praying for you.
Are you contacting YouTube? Should we/How do we contact YouTube?

I want to contact YouTube about it, but I can't find an email address.... The only e-mail address I seen was for press (press at youtube dot com) . You could try to call them. YouTube, LLC 901 Cherry Ave. San Bruno, CA 94066 USA Phone: +1 650-253-0000 Fax: +1 650-253-0001

I went to: www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/request.pyClicked "Report a Bug" Clicked "Account issue" Clicked "Reopen Account" Clicked "Contact Us" It only gave me the option of typing in my account name and the email address associated with it. It said that even if my account is reopened, "Your account information such as videos and comments will NOT be restored."

That's wrong what Youtube did to you!I just looked at their policy and it says: The standard of behavior we expect of YouTube users is set out in our Community Guidelines. If a user posts a video or otherwise behaves on the site contrary to these Guidelines, we will generally remove the offending material, and apply a Community Guidelines warning strike against the account of the poster. These strikes stick with the accounts belonging to that user for six months from the date they are received. If a user receives such a strike they will be notified when they next log-in to their YouTube account. For reference, copies of the notice are also sent to the user's email address and YouTube private message inbox.
The first strike on an account is considered a warning. If an account receives two strikes within a six month period, the ability to post new content to YouTube from that account will be temporarily disabled. If there are no further issues, full privileges will be restored automatically after a period. If an account receives a third Community Guidelines strike within six months (before the first strike has expired) the account will be terminated.

I have never uploaded preaching videos to my youtube account because of various reasons. What happened to you is one of the reasons I never got too involved with it, personally. A lot of really hard work down the drain. Cry to God has all of their more recent videos uploaded on their private web pages utilizing Flash Player. I think the new site is actually Cry2God. I think you can even generate a comments "section" for each video, sort of like a mock of youtube-type layout. I am going to be doing this myself in the very near future, and this may be the best option for you as well, Jesse.

I don't know if this will do any good or not, but it might be worth asking them to restore the JesseMorrell account. I just said that it had some of the finest videos of open-air bible based preaching to college students available on that account and I would be very disappointed if I could no longer access those good videos. I asked them to please restore that account. Maybe you could do so as well. www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/request.py?page=&contact_type=suggestion&master=suggestion&Action.Search=Continueclick the last box that says, 'I have another idea' and then type your request for the JesseMorrell account. And then pray they'll change their mind!

It was through youtube that I first came across Jesse and Kerrigan. (Rob Bell is a heretic I think the video was called) I was so thrilled to find them. (I'd never seen any non-calvinist open air preaching before!!!) I pray that Jesse's videos will be brought back up on youtube.

Sorry to hear that. That's perecution though and you will be rewarded. Praying you get your account back. I just recently got an account and subscribed to you. I even posted your last video on facebook. A matter of fact it's probably off my facebook now then. Hopefully someone was blessed by it though. I posted it a few days ago. It was the one on abortion.

I used the link that miche provided and sent the following:
Please restore the JesseMorrell channel and all the videos and comments.
I've found those videos to be extremely helpful and entertaining. I subscribed to that channel and I had some of those videos favorited.
I hope you are not discriminating against him because of his religious beliefs.
Thank you in advance,

Please visit > help.youtube.com/support/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=57391> for more information on account suspensions. > > Regards, > > Robby > The YouTube Team > > ============================ Robby, I had over 500 videos with nearly 500 subscribers on my "jessemorrell" account. It took me two years to do this. There are a lot of Christians from a lot of Churches who go to YouTube strictly to watch my videos. I've gotten a lot of emails from Christians who are upset that my account has been suspended. My account was simply terminated without withing giving me the ability to remedy the situation. Is it possible for me to get my account back, without having the videos up that were "flagged"? The videos that were flagged where videos where I said that I love homosexuals, but I do not agree with homosexuality and belief it is a dangerous way to live. It was not "hate speech". I love homosexuals and want nothing but the best for them. But I will still be willing to remove those videos if I can simply have my account back. It doesn't make sense to me to remove 500 videos because 2 of them were "flagged". Let me know what I need to do to get my account back. Jesse Morrell

Jesse - I realize that recently you have come under attack by many Calvinist on Youtube, do you think this could have been the work of one of them? This truly saddens me to see how not only Youtube has canceled your account but that other so called Christians have brought horrible accusations against you at the same time. We will definitely keep you in our prayers.

Someone just emailed me through YouTube about Jesse's account and told me that the YouTube used revivalisneeded was suspended too. I think his name was James and he was the ex-mormon that was always preaching to mormons. He used to use the Book of Hezekiah trick on them. Anyway, hopefully ADF can do something about this...

Also, Jesse, did you read that it says that if you try to open another account that it will be shut down as well? It seems like if they ban one of your accounts, that it equals a lifetime ban...

Would it be helpful to send emails in favor of them reinstating your account or do you think it is better to wait and see how your communications play out? If you want folks to petition them you could just send out an email to everyone. I'd be glad to help in any way! May God's will be done and not ours.

www.youtube.com/user/openairoutreach is going to be used for my open air videos. I am going to upload some of them again. www.youtube.com/user/bibletheology is going to be for my sermons and teachings. That way if the other account goes down, this one stays up. I also plan on sitting down at a table once a week, with the camera going, and teaching theology out of the Bible. The topics will be free will, original sin, atonement, conditional security, the law, salvation, repentance, calvinism, moral government, etc.

A friend of mine who filmed me doing an interview with a homosexual at the Dallas pride parade had the video banned from Youtube about a month ago. Since I'm a Calvinist, I don't think any Calvinists had anything to do with having that one banned.

It must have been God's Sovereign plan.
It is not the homosexuals fault that our videos are being banned. Neither is it the Calvinists fault. It is obviously God's fault. God must not want our videos on YouTube, since everything that happens is because of God's eternal decrees.
(This is a joke. We all know lots of things happen that are not God's will. Many things happen that are actually against God's will).

Why would it not be in God's Sovereign plan? You may be thinking its God's desire to have the Gospel preached to homosexuals is it not? Perhaps God would have u rely more on his power to get the Gospel out then on Youtube but perhaps not. Is the desire of God always carried out in his eternal plan? Imagine this your child disobeys you do you have a desire to inflict pain on your child well yes and no you choose to punish your child by your will decree and plan but yet can you really say you had a desire in it or any pleasure in carrying out your will?

If your child disobeys you, then they are not doing your will. If they are doing your will, then there is no disobedience.
Sin would not be "sin" if it was the will of God, because sin by definition is disobedience to God's will.
If everything that happens is God's will, nothing that happens is sin, because nothing that happens is disobedience to God's will.
Sin does occur. Sin is disobedience to God's will. Therefore God's will is not always done.
Duh...
