Most street preachers are idiots?
Why?
One of the hillbillies in deliverance?
Sounds like racial profiling. Didn't realize you were a racist.
The guys in deliverance were homos. Hubert was a Christian fundamentalist.
There is no such thing as a Christian homo.

1 Timothy 3:15-But if I tarry long that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in THE HOUSE OF GOD WHICH IS THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD the pillar and ground of the truth.
People are the church for sure but according to this verse the House of God is also the church of the living God.
Local churches (or fellowships) are biblical. Pastors are biblical (Ephesians 4:11).
Hebrews 13:7-8-Remember THEM WHICH HAVE THE RULE OVER YOU WHO HAVE SPOKEN UNTO YOU THE WORD OF GOD WHOSE FAITH FOLLOW CONSIDERING THE END OF THEIR CONVERSATION JESUS CHRIST THE SAME YESTERDAY AND TODAY AND FOREVER.
Those who have the rule over you means spiritual authorities or leaders and it is not referring to God.

Tuesday May 26, 2009-University of Cincinnati-Cincinnati, Ohio: Sister Elizabeth was still in Florida at this time and this morning Brother Rick was ill so I would be preaching by myself today. The weather kept changing from sunny to overcast as I drove to campus.
GOOD CROWD BUILDS UP
I arrived on campus just before noon but had to wait for a parking spot to open up. I began preaching in the free speech spot around 12:20 PM. Slowly but steadily a small group of 10-15 students began to sit and ask questions. The crowd continued to grow from there. A police officer showed up and kept an eye on things. The crowd eventually grew to around 150-200. It had been a good time of fairly straightforward preaching with the crowd being mostly attentive even though they opposed my message of repent or perish.
Around 2:10 PM it began to rain and much of the crowd dispersed. I moved in close to the 10-20 students remaining and stood under the trees to keep most of the rain off. This was the area where the students could sit down and listen on a 9-11 Memorial Wall. I stayed there and answered their questions for some time. It stopped raining and gradually the crowd began to grow again. I stood on the 9-11 Memorial Wall where the students sit and listen and continued preaching. The crowd built up to around 150 again. I mostly preached as fervently and loud as I could in a straightforward manner reproving, rebuking and exhorting with all longsuffering and doctrine.
GET OFF THE WALL!
The crowd fluctuated for the remainder of the afternoon from 50-150. Some students kept trying to make me get off the wall. I told them to call the police and I would be glad to step off the wall if the police ordered me.
Eventually several police cars showed up but they just watched and said nothing. I asked them if I it was okay to stand on the wall and they replied yes.
YOU ARE A FRAUD!
As has happened the last two years I continued to hear accusations from the crowd that I am a fraud because I go around and provoke students to hit me, then sue the universities and that is how I make money. I challenged the students to provide the proof of these accusations yet no one ever has.
I continued preaching in a hard straightforward manner until 3:45 PM. I was preaching by myself and it was very hot. I had consumed over one gallon of water and had to use the restroom. I announced to the crowd, I would return the following day.
Wednesday May 27, 2009-University of Cincinnati-Cincinnati, Ohio: Sister Elizabeth would not be returning from Florida until the evening and Brother Rick was still sick so once again I would be preaching by myself.
It was a very hot and sunny day. As I arrived on campus, I noticed the front page of the daily university newspaper with my picture and an article. I arrived in the designated preaching spot around 12:25 PM. There were several campus police officers in the area and around 10-15 students.
LARGE CROWD GATHERS
I began preaching around 12:25 PM and the crowd immediately began to increase. The crowd continued to increase quickly and eventually reached over 300. Several students kept getting in my face, heckling, following me around and threatening me. Most of the crowd kept a good distance away from me for some time.
CROWD DISTRACTERS
As the huge crowd formed the massive circle around me several students tried to jump in the middle where I was and distract the crowd by doing performances (juggling, dancing, etc). Since I had to reserve this designated area in advance I did not think the students should be allowed to jump in the middle of the designated area I was assigned to after I had gathered the crowd and try to distract the crowd. I politely informed the officers of this and asked if this was a reasonable request. The officers did an excellent job of keeping the crowd back from me for some time, stopping the hecklers from following me around and trying to prevent the preaching, and making the crowd distracting performers leave the middle of the circle.
Gradually the large crowd of 250-300 plus continued to move in closer and closer around me. Around 2:00 PM the officers informed me they could only do so much to keep the crowd back. I understood and was close to finishing for the day.
Thankfully many in the massive crowd sat down as they moved in around me and overall the crowd was somewhat tame for one that size. I continued to preach and answer questions.
The weather was very hot, I was almost out of water, the crowd was large, I had only slept a few hours that night, and would probably be preaching in a church that night. The police also asked me politely if I could finish for the day because I was tying up all their manpower. Due to all these factors I was only planning on preaching a few hours and then heading back to try to rest before going to church and heading to the airport. I concluded the day’s preaching around 2:20 PM with a crowd of 200 plus around me and announced I would return on Friday.
SPECIAL PRIVILEGES FROM POLICE?
The police told me they were receiving many threats against me and asked me to get in their police car so they could drive me to my vehicle. The students resented this because it looked like the police were giving me special privileges. The officers had been very helpful and professional. They said they were not giving me special treatment but just did not want me to get assaulted on the way to my vehicle.
That evening I preached in a church for over one hour from Matthew 6:10 on “Advancing the Kingdom of God”.
Thursday May 28, 2009: We had no permit to preach this day as our preaching area had been reserved for a big water slide event they do each year at this time. Last year they double scheduled us with the water slide event. It rained a good part of the early afternoon anyway.
Friday May 29, 2009-University of Cincinnati-Cincinnati, Ohio: Brother Rick headed back home on Wednesday evening and Sister Elizabeth arrived back in Ohio from Florida. Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on the campus around noon. It was a perfect day for preaching with sunny weather in the 70’s.
CROWD ALREADY WAITING FOR US
As I arrived in the designated preaching area there were already 30-40 students waiting for our arrival along with several police officers. The officers had taped off an area in the middle to keep the students from crowding in too close yet at the same time I had a nice sized area to move around in.
I began preaching around 12:20 PM to the 30-40 students already waiting. The crowd quickly grew to 200-300. It was a very large crowd again today but not quite as large as Wednesday’s.
FAITHFUL SISTER
A sister from a local church who joins us each year showed up today with a hand made banner dealing with hell and repentance.
SUPPORTIVE STUDENT
One young man stood in front of me by a tree for much of the preaching just listening. He walked up to me and asked me to sign his Bible and then thanked me for being there and asked me to pray for him.
I preached for three hours to crowds ranging from 120-275. At 3:20 PM I took a restroom break. Most of the crowd of the remaining 120 or so had dispersed. I took a chair and sat in the middle of the area they had taped off for me in front of the 9-11 Memorial wall. This way the students could sit in the shade on the wall.
I sat in the chair and answered questions from the 40-50 students gathering around the 9-11 Memorial wall from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
A SINCERE SEEKER OF TRUTH
As Sister Elizabeth and I were leaving a young man walked with us and asked many sincere questions. This young man had told me in front of the large angry crowd that opposed me that he appreciated my being there and the message I was preaching. He seemed to be a very sincere Christian.
Saturday May 30, 2009: Sister Elizabeth and I attended a church service and I had the privilege of preaching. I preached for just over one hour on “Advancing the Kingdom of God” from Matthew 6:10.
Sunday May 31, 2009: We attended the local church services where we were staying in the morning. In the evening, I had been invited to preach in the prayer service of another church. I preached for 30 minutes from Judges 2:10-11 on “A Gospel of Power”.
Monday June 1, 2009-University of Cincinnati-Cincinnati, Ohio: It was a hot and sunny day in the 80’s as Sister Elizabeth and me drove to campus. I had gotten word over the weekend that the GLBT (homosexual community) at the University of Cincinnati was planning to protest our preaching on campus.
CROWD AND PROTESTORS WAITING
Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on campus just after noon. As I approached the free speech area there was again already a crowd of 30-40 students waiting for us along with several campus police officers. I noticed there were two different sections taped off. I stepped into the section I had been preaching in last Friday and began preaching around 12:30 PM.
The crowd quickly began to increase and the protestors with hand made signs and rainbow flags were told to move into the other taped off area. The protestors taped off area and my area were about 10 yards apart. Students were not allowed inside the 10-yard area between the two sections.
BIASED ADMINSTRATOR
A good-sized crowd of 150-200 began to form all around my taped off area in addition to the protestors in the other taped off area. At this point an administrator began telling the police officers to make the whole crowd move into the area reserved for the protestors.
I was strongly against the administrator doing this for several reasons 1) Every student was not there to protest 2) I did not come to preach to the protestors-the protestors are not there to listen to the preaching or learn. They usually just make accusations; sing songs, threats, yell, etc. Putting the whole crowd mixed in with the protestors would not allow me to answer questions or dialogue with students who were interested in the message. 3) I had to give 5 days advance notice to reserve the free speech area. I wanted to see the protestors permit. This protest had been organized over the weekend and could not have given 5 days advance notice. 4) Why where they given a permit in the same area I had already reserved?
SOME STUDENTS STILL THINK FOR THEMSELVES
Well thankfully, at least some of the students are still capable of thinking for themselves and realized the administrator did not have any right to make everyone move into the protestor section. The students began to complain and grumble about being forced to move into the protestors’ section. From that point on the administrator stopped trying to move them into the protestors section.
I also asked to see a copy of the protestors permit to be there. The administrator told me if I wanted to see a copy of their permit I had to go to such and such a building. I asked my wife to go and check on it but when she went everyone was “out to lunch”.
PROTESTORS IGNORED
Ironically and thankfully the protestors’ section was set up directly in the sun whereas my area had some shade under the trees for some of the listeners. Every once in a while I would say something to the protestors, or even answer a question if they were being very polite, but for the most part I preached with my back to them and ignored them. They would scream at me to stop ignoring them, sing songs, make accusations, etc.
I faced the rest of the crowd and preached and answered questions. After the administrator made the crowd move into the protestor section the crowd outside of it was only around 40-50 but soon it built up to around 200 again in addition to the protestors.
As the afternoon wore on and the protestors were ignored as they stood in the direct sunlight their numbers and enthusiasm dwindled. I continued preaching to crowds of 100-200 until around 2:40 PM.
At 2:40 PM, I sat in a chair and answered questions until around 4:10 PM. I sat as far away from the protestor section as I could so they would be totally excluded and ignored. Soon they all left.
STUDENT FROM LAST YEAR DEFENDS PREACHING
Initially, I had over 100 as I sat and answered questions. As I prepared to depart around 4:10 PM I had around 25-30 students. Just as I was beginning to leave one student spoke up and defended our preaching method. He said something to the effect of “Last year, I said all the same things you all are saying. Now I realize this has gotten everyone thinking and discussing the subject of the Bible. Several weeks ago the campus ministry groups advertised and tried to get people to come to a Bible study they were going to have out here and only one or two students showed up. Today hundreds of students were listening to the Bible being preached.”
As we departed from the campus one young man who seemed sincere wanted to take me out to eat and discuss better ways I could do what I am doing (even though he has never preached publicly himself). I was willing to do this but on the way to our vehicle the young man left and did not show back up.

Oh sure they are allowed to protest. Of course.
They should not be allowed to have an organized protest IN THE SAME AREA I HAD TO RESERVE IN ADVANCE.
If I reserve the area then I have the area reserved. Some one else should not be allowed to also reserve the area on top of you.

Sunday May 17, 2009: Sister Elizabeth and I attended local church services. In the evening service I preached for 50 minutes from Judges 2:6-13 on “A Gospel of Power”.
HISTORICAL STRONGHOLDS AT WSU
Monday May 18, 2009-Wright State University-Dayton, Ohio: This campus has always been a difficult campus to preach on as they have organized groups of atheists and homosexuals who show up and try to destroy the open air preaching. It is not that they can stop us but they try to heckle, interrupt, protest with poster signs, and dominate all the time to keep anyone else from being able to listen.
Last year, I was kicked off campus and given a trespass from the police because a lifetime student who vehemently hates my preaching began drawing a satanic star right in front of me while I was preaching and claimed I tried to step on his hand when I accidentally touched his hand. I was able to get the trespass removed and return to preaching on campus a few days later.
Sister Elizabeth and I met Brother Rick on campus. Brother Rick arrived before we did and had begun the preaching. He was gathering a nice crowd of playful, attentive listeners of around 40-50. They were spread out fairly well over the preaching area and were keeping a good distance away. They had the barricades set up for us again to keep the students away from us to avoid problems like last year. A police car was parked right in front of the barricades.
NEMESIS SHOWS UP
Brother Rick turned the preaching over to me around 1:30 PM. Soon after I began preaching the lifetime student, who had me kicked off campus the previous year arrived with his friends. The crowd had already crowded in all around me around the barricades and grew to around 60-70.
It was tough to get in much quality preaching as it was the typical Wright State crowd where students all heckle, yell, ask questions at the same time and do not listen as you try to answer. I answered questions and preached over the ruckus as best as possible.
The lifetime student and his friend (apparently another lifetime student) threw their coffee all over my water bottle and on my Bible. They stood behind me and made threats, accusations, trick questions, and comments the whole time I was preaching.
MORE DIFFICULTIES
I preached to the rabble until 3:00 PM and then exited the barricades with a campus police officer who escorted us to our vehicles. This school allows free speech from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and they are strict on enforcing the policy of making us stop at 3:00 PM. This makes preaching here more difficult as we are not able to stay around after the preaching and weed out the sincere seekers from the hecklers, hypocrites, and perverts.
These times of talking with the sincere students after the preaching is over are always a great aid in opening the students’ hearts towards our preaching.
TAKING AUTHORITY IN PRAYER
Tuesday May 19, 2009-Wright State University-Dayton, Ohio: This morning God strongly impressed upon my heart to pray, take authority over and bind the hindering forces at work at Wright State. During prayer I was able by the grace of God to lay hold upon God (Isaiah 64:7) and believe Him to intervene and remove the obstacles so that the Word of the Lord would have free course in the preaching (2 Thessalonians 3:1). After praying I had the peace of God because I knew I had been able to take hold of God and He had answered.
Brother Rick, Sister Elizabeth, and I arrived on campus around noon. As far as weather goes it was another picture perfect day for preaching with clear sunny skies and weather in the high seventies.
WHY SOME PREACHERS ARE NOT EFFECTIVE
There was another preacher preaching to around 20-25 students sitting on the wall. The other preacher was not in the barricade pen that had been set up for us. Any preacher who does not preach against sin does not call sinners to repentance and needs no pen because no one will be offended by his message. False prophets never offend anyone (Luke 6:26, John 7:7, Isaiah 30:9-10). Real Bible preachers follow their Master’s example in calling sinners to repentance (Luke 5:32).
I stepped into the pen around 12:05 PM and immediately the preacher stopped preaching. I think some of the students must have told this preacher we had been preaching “condemnation and judgment” on campus and he showed up to set the record straight. I think the students were in the area waiting for us to show up and so he had a group to preach to. After the students have begun to come under conviction from our message of “sin, righteousness and judgment” (John 16:8) they welcome any and all ear ticklers who will drive all their conviction away (2 Timothy 4:3-4).
I began preaching and the crowd gradually grew to around 40-60. I saw the preacher making his way through the crowd and talking to various students who were listening. He never said anything to me and I did not say anything to him. He did not even approach Brother Rick and Sister Elizabeth on the sidelines. Sister Elizabeth said she heard him telling the students that we preach “judgment and condemnation” and that Jesus loves sinners. Yes, Jesus died on the cross to save sinners (1 Timothy 2:4, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Timothy 1:15, 1 Corinthians 15:1-3), but most sinners think that love means unconditional acceptance. God does not unconditionally accept anyone (Luke 13:3, 5, Mark 1:15, Proverbs 28:13, Acts 3:19) and this is what preachers must earnestly seek to make sinners understand.
A BREAKTHROUGH IN THE PREACHING
God was so faithful in moving out the group of hecklers who normally come out to oppose and disrupt the preaching. I was able to preach freely and answer questions in a way we do on most other campuses and the students were fairly attentive and receptive most of the time. Praise the Lord!
The main instigator spent most of the time while I was preaching talking to Brother Rick and Sister Elizabeth on the sidelines. This heckler’s name is Frank and he is ok with Brother Rick and Sister Elizabeth but hates me. I believe their conversation with him will soften him up some at least towards me if not towards God. Another factor was I was able to audio record him threatening to damage my vehicle if he found it.
I turned the fairly civil and attentive crowd of 40-60 over to Brother Rick around 1:30 PM. Brother Rick did an excellent job of preaching and answering questions until 2:30 PM and then turned the preaching over to Sister Elizabeth.
SAVED BUT NOT DELIVERED?
Sister Elizabeth preached from 2:30 PM until our time expired at 3:00 PM. I had an excellent conversation with a very open and sincere young man who believed he was saved from sin but still needed deliverance from sin. He was very open, receptive and thankful for the conversation we had. He came over to talk to me while Sister Elizabeth was preaching.
Wednesday May 20, 2009-Wright State University-Dayton, Ohio: It was another beautiful day although it was a little hot with temperature around 80 degrees with no clouds in the sky. Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on campus around 11:45 AM.
ANOTHER PREACHER TRYING TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT
As I walked up to the free speech area I noticed it seemed there was a young man wearing a Gilligan hat preaching. He had about 10-15 people listening to him. He was not preaching inside the barricades that had been set up for us but outside of them and was standing on the wall. We are not allowed to preach standing on the wall.
I stepped inside the barricades around 11:55 AM and began preaching. I believe the reason the young man wearing the Gilligan hat had a small group of listeners is because the students were waiting on us to hear us as we announced we were coming back.
YOU DON’T KNOW THE BIBLE!
There were already students sitting around waiting for us to begin preaching and some of the young man’s audience came to where I was preaching once I began. I quickly gathered a small group of 20-25. The young man with the Gilligan hat began to accuse me of not knowing the Bible. So from that point on every time I began to quote a verse of scripture in my preaching I asked him if he knew what that verse said. Each time he did not. This helped increase the crowd to around 40-50.
After some time the young man invited everyone who wanted to hear him to move down and listen to him. He moved down the wall about 20 yards and about 20 students followed him.
BROTHER KATTE SHOWS UP
Around 12:30 PM Brother Rick and Brother Katte showed up. Brother Katte is a brother from a local church. He came out to preach with us last year and has been preaching outdoors on a regular basis ever since.
Soon the young preacher and his crowd came right back to where I was preaching and continued listening to me. The young preacher challenged me on several things and I answered him with scripture. Several other students had been asking me questions about the Bible and I answered them also with scripture.
IF YOU WANT TO PREACH THEN GET YOUR OWN CROWD
I was glad this young man was out trying to preach to the students and I commend him for his effort but it seemed he did not like the fact the students were ignoring him and listening to me. He kept trying to preach to the crowd I had but almost everyone just ignored him. Finally he moved down about 20 yards away with a handful of students and they stayed down there for the rest of the afternoon. Brother Katte was walking through the crowd of 40-60 and talking to certain students. Brother Rick and Sister Elizabeth were on the sidelines talking to students.
I continued preaching until around 1:05 PM and then turned the preaching over to Brother Katte. He preached fervently for about 35 minutes and the crowd grew to around 60-80 at one point. He turned the preaching over to Brother Rick around 1:40 PM.
Brother Rick, Sister Elizabeth, Brother Katte, and I all had excellent profitable conversations on the sidelines with students today. We praise God for the work He is doing on this campus and the breakthrough He gave us.
Brother Rick preached until around 2:25 PM to a crowd of around 40-60. He turned the preaching over to Sister Elizabeth but the crowd was too loud and rowdy for her so she called on me after a few minutes.
STIRRING THE POT WITH THE HAMMER OF THE WORD
I began preaching around 2:30 PM to the loud rowdy crowd. The Lord really strengthened me and I preached as loud and fervently. I just hammered them with the Word of God and the message of repent or perish holiness or hell, turn from sin and turn to Jesus. The crowd grew to around 120-130.
BIDDING US FAREWELL
The students here know we have to stop at 3:00 PM so a few minutes before three they began singing to us the song “Nananana nanananana hey hey hey Good bye!”
We do not want to have to be reminded to leave by the campus police and seem we are not cooperative with the policies and be banned. Thus, we always leave on time and do not cause the campus security any unnecessary trouble.
STUDENTS BECOME MORE SUPPORTIVE OF PREACHING
Brother Katte and Brother Rick both had already departed. On the way to the car one student and youth pastor from a campus Christian organization followed us and we had a great discussion for about 40 minutes. They seemed to just want to understand better about what we believe on certain doctrines so they can know whether to get behind our preaching or oppose it. When I was able to clarify certain doctrines to them they seemed to be supportive of them and let us know they believe the same thing. I hope this is true but oftentimes it seems many people believe certain things but do not practice or preach them. Either way it seemed we made a lot of progress on the campus this day and with the student and youth leader/pastor from the Christian organization on campus.
Thursday May 21, 2009-Wright State University-Dayton, Ohio: Another beautiful day and even slightly hotter than the day before (low 80’s) with no clouds in the sky. Sister Elizabeth and I arrived around 12:40 PM and Brother Rick was preaching inside the barricades to an attentive crowd of 30-40. He turned the preaching over to me around 1:00 PM.
LARGE CROWD GATHERS
I began preaching around 1:00 PM. The crowd began to increase in size until it reached around 200 and stayed that way for some time. They were rowdy at times but other times would just listen attentively as I preached as fervently and loud. Although many of the students surrounding the barricades were hecklers and mockers, I could see many in the large crowd listening intently and coming under conviction.
I turned the preaching over to Brother Rick around 2:20 PM. By now the crowd size had come back down to around 60-70.
GOD DEALING WITH HECKLER
Brother Rick preached until 3:00 PM to the crowd of 50-60. I had some very good conversations on the sidelines and one was with one of the most adamant hecklers of the day. It seems God is dealing with him and he is searching for truth. He mentioned something about setting up a formal debate on campus.
We all praised God for the way He has opened up this campus, the breakthrough we have had here and the work He is doing!
CAMPUS PREACHING GOES FAR BEYOND CAMPUS
On the way home we stopped to eat and the young man who sat us down is a student at Wright State and had heard us preaching. He asked us many questions while we were there. Just before we left he kept asking me questions and I kept answering him with scripture. He sounded fairly effeminate and was totally in deception concerning what the Bible actually teaches. He became so focused on what I was saying that he asked me questions for about 20 minutes trying to find a loophole in what I was saying and the message I was preaching. His manager eventually had to come over and move him away from us. It seems God is dealing with this young man and he is being awakened to his lost state.
Friday May 22, 2009-Wright State University-Dayton, Ohio: Sister Elizabeth had to go to Florida for a wedding the previous evening. Brother Rick was considering heading back home to take care of business at home but decided to stay and preach with me before leaving since he knew I would be by myself and the history of opposition we have had at this school.
We had gotten a slightly later start than normal today and arrived on campus around 12:15 PM. I began preaching inside the barricades around 12:20 PM. There was a group of 10-15 students already waiting for us. I preached and answered questions in a fairly straightforward manner and the crowd grew to around 50-60. Around 1:30 PM I turned the preaching over to Brother Rick.
BACKUP SUPPORT
A sister from a local church who has met us on campus the previous two years showed up with a hand made poster sign dealing with the subject of hell and repentance from sin. I greeted her and we talked a few minutes. She spent the rest of the afternoon talking with a female student who seemed to be very sincere. This same student had asked me several questions while I was preaching.
Brother Rick continued preaching until 3:00 PM to the attentive crowd of 30-50. Brother Rick had been on a radio show on this campus last year and the student who interviewed him was in the crowd.
I had a good conversation with several students who had been listening regularly throughout the week. One was a black male student who grew up Catholic and used to be very religious. He said in high school he began fornicating and stopped seeking the Lord. He had asked me many good questions throughout the week, struck me as being very sincere and he listened carefully to my answers. He also mentioned he saw the errors in Catholicism.
Brother Rick and I stayed around for 15-20 minutes talking to some of these students as the police did not show up to escort us off nor were called by any of the students as usually occurs.
VERY PRODUCTIVE WEEK
This was by far the most productive week of preaching I have had since I began preaching here in 2007. We thank God for His intervention in removing the hecklers and hindrances to preaching. We were able to have many great conversations as well as great times of preaching throughout the week and seemed to make great progress with the students. The Lord put a love in my heart for the students of this campus and I was somewhat sad to leave.

Monday May 11, 2009-Ohio University-Athens, Ohio: Over the weekend we heard the weather was supposed to be good today so we decided to make the drive down to Athens. Bro Cope, Brother Rick, Sister Elizabeth and I drove down together. On the way down someone mentioned there was supposed to be a 50% chance of rain in Athens today.
We dropped Bro Cope off at the preaching spot on the public sidewalk in front of the Civil War statue around 11:50 AM and went and parked the car. Bro preached until 12:40 PM and had a few hecklers and got a few students sitting in the area listening.
PREACHERS PERSERVERE THROUGH RAIN
The weather became very cold and overcast. Brother Rick preached from 12:40 PM until 2:00 PM and gathered an attentive group of 15-25. I believe Brother Rick would have been able to build the crowd up bigger but while he was preaching it began to rain and was very cold (at least for us Floridians). The preaching spot here is shaded and all the trees prevent the students from getting too wet if it is not raining real hard. It came down fairly hard, then slowed down and began coming down fairly hard again during Brother Rick’s preaching. Around 1:45 PM the clear skies began to move in. Around 2:00 PM the sun was beginning to shine again and Brother Rick turned the preaching over to me.
WHAT IS IT?
I began preaching around 2:00 PM and was able to build the crowd up to around 80-100. I had one listener who had short hair and dressed like a male but still looked like a female. She insisted she was a man but I had my doubts. Later she confessed to having had a sex change operation. This is the generation we are dealing with. I preached until around 3:20 PM and turned the crowd over to Sister Elizabeth.
They were fairly rowdy when I turned the preaching over to Sister Elizabeth. She preached until around 4:15 PM. During her preaching the crowd closed in around her and continued to be rowdy. She turned the preaching over to Bro Cope around 4:15 PM.
BREAKING THROUGH
Bro Cope preached until around 5:40 PM to a crowd that was rowdy at times yet attentive at times. After 5:30 PM the crowd was down to a few and Bro sat down and had some conversation with the students. All of us had small groups around us and we were all having profitable conversations.
We left the campus around 6:00 PM.
Tuesday May 12, 2009-Ohio University-Athens, Ohio: Bro Cope, Brother Rick, Sister Elizabeth and I arrived in the Athens area around 11:40 AM and dropped Bro Cope off to begin the preaching while we went to park several blocks away.
It was a picture perfect day for preaching as the weather was clear, sunny and in the low 70’s. There was a picture of myself and a newspaper article of the preaching on the 5th page of the school newspaper.
BUILDING MOMENTUM
Bro Cope preached from 11:40 AM to around 1:10 PM and gathered an attentive crowd of 30-40.
Brother Rick preached from around 1:10 PM to 2:05 PM to a crowd of 25-40.
Brother Rick turned the preaching over to me around 2:05 PM and the crowd grew to around 150-160. There were some good hecklers and things grew a little rowdy a few times but overall it was an effective time of preaching as the crowd was mostly civil and attentive. I continued preaching until around 3:25 PM and then turned the preaching over to Bro Cope.
Bro Cope preached to a crowd that was somewhat rowdy at first but gradually settled down some from 3:25 PM to 5:10 PM and ranged from 100-150.
Brother Rick preached from 5:10 PM to 6:05 PM to a mostly attentive crowd that ranged from 40-80. Brother Rick called on me to preach again.
AFTER ALMOST 7 HOURS STUDENTS STILL WANT MORE
I preached from 6:05 PM to 6:35 PM to an attentive crowd ranging from 25-60. After almost 7 hours of preaching we left the campus with about 40-60 students still sitting around listening intently.
We all had many fruitful and productive conversations on the sidelines while the others were preaching.
Wednesday May 13, 2009-Ohio University-Athens, Ohio: There was a good chance of rain today but we were trusting God for the weather to hold out. Bro Rick decided to preach at Ohio State University alone while Bro Cope, Sister Elizabeth, and I drove down again to Athens.
STRAIGHTFORWARD PREACHING TO ATTENTIVE HEARERS
When we arrived it was sunny out. Bro Cope drove so he dropped me off at the preaching spot around noon while he went and parked the vehicle. I began preaching around 12 noon. The crowd gradually grew to around 80-110. At times I had some hecklers trying to disrupt and others were rowdy at times but overall it was a very profitable time of straightforward preaching with many attentive hearers. I turned the crowd over to Bro Cope around 1:30 PM.
BRO PERSERVERES THROUGH THE RAIN
When I turned the crowd over to Bro Cope the crowd was around 50-60. After Bro Cope had preached for some time it began to rain and dwindled his crowd down to around 10-15. It only rained a short time and then stopped. After it stopped Bro Cope was able to build the crowd back up again to around 30-40. Bro preached until around 3:30 PM and then turned the crowd over to Sister Elizabeth.
After I finished preaching around 1:30 PM I was interviewed by two students with camera equipment for a radio or program for the university.
Sister Elizabeth preached from 3:30 PM to 4:15 PM to the crowd of 30-40. We left around 4:15 PM to make the long drive back to Columbus for church service.
Thursday May 16, 2009: We were rained out today.
Friday May 17, 2009-Otterbein College-Columbus, Ohio: Today was a hot, clear sunny day with weather around 80 degrees which is very hot for Ohio. Brother Rick had headed back home for a few days, so Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on campus around 12:15 PM. Bro Cope was already preaching when we arrived and had gathered a group of 5-10 listeners.
RESTLESS CROWD
Bro turned the preaching over to me around 12:40 PM. The crowd grew to around 25-30 but it was a very strange crowd as they were very restless. Every time several new students would show up several more would leave. Students would ask me questions all at the same time and then not listen while I was answering them and then accuse me of not answering their questions. I also think it was a little hot for most of them to sit on the concrete steps in the heat for long periods of time.
I felt a little dizzy at times while I was preaching due to the heat and had not preached in heat like that since South Carolina (it was much hotter there).
POLICE ON THE SCENE
The crowd was rowdy and restless most of the time. Someone called the police and they lingered around for some time while the students talked to them apparently complaining about something. The police watched the preaching for some time but never got out of the car and never spoke to me.
I KNOW EVERYTHING BECAUSE I ATTEND THE VINEYARD
I continued preaching until around 2:00 PM and then turned the crowd over to Bro Cope. As soon as I finished a male “Christian” who lives on the block began judging me and accusing me of sinning by saying I was judging. I tried to move away from the preaching area and answer his questions but he was the kind of person who thought he knew everything but everything he said was totally wrong. I kept showing him scriptures that contradicted every statement he was making but he told me he went to “Vineyard” church and he was a Christian.
He was making a big scene and this distracted from the preaching I turned over to Bro. The remaining crowd of 20-25 wanted to watch the “Christian” tell me off. I took a walk to the restroom and Bro Cope tried to deal with the man but was not able to get anywhere either. It is hard to teach someone who already knows they know everything.
Bro tried preaching for a few minutes longer after the man left but was not able to get the attention of the students. Sister Elizabeth and I left the campus area around 2:30 PM as we were driving to a new location later that afternoon.

When I get back to Florida near the end of June I can make a copy and send it. Right now I only have that one copy and my pastor has it.

Thanks for watching those brother and posting a response to him.
He is the kind of man pleaser who cannot stand it when others disagree with him.
Usually at the campus and at the debate all the hypocrites and pleasure seekers love him.

Sunday May 3, 2009-Columbus, Ohio: Sister Elizabeth and I attended local church services where we were staying. I preached for over one hour in the evening service from Matthew 6:10 on “Advancing the Kingdom of God”.
Monday May 4, 2009-Otterbein College-Columbus, Ohio: After driving all day Saturday from Virginia to Columbus I decided not to make the 90 minute drive down to Athens to preach at Ohio University but chose to preach at nearby Otterbein College in Columbus. Another factor in this decision was it was forecast to rain all day. Early in the morning it was very overcast but by the time we headed for campus it had cleared up.
By the time Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on Otterbein campus it was a sunny day in the high 60’s. Unfortunately, on the way to campus I made a wrong turn and we ended up arriving a little later than we wanted to.
I began preaching on the public sidewalk in front of the student union at 12:15 PM. We had several good days of preaching here last May even though I was issued a trespass warning for using the restrooms on the school property.
I immediately began to gather a crowd that continued growing. The crowd grew to around 50-60 and most were sitting on the steps in front of the student union listening intently. For some reason I had a difficult time preaching early on as my voice kept giving me trouble. As usual, someone came out and began mowing the grass across the street on a large loud, riding lawnmower. Last year, the man mowed the same piece of grass each day we preached.
JESUS LOVES PEOPLE IN HELL
As the crowd continued growing they were playful and rowdy and times. One young man who claimed to be a Christian tried to steal the crowd by standing in front of me and preaching about how Jesus died for their sins and loves everyone. I let the crowd know hell is full of people Jesus died for (Matthew 23:33, 25:30, 25:41) but they did not love Jesus (John 14:15, 1 John 5:3). I also repeatedly explained God’s conditional forgiveness (Luke 13:3,5, Proverbs 28:13, 1 John 1:7) and explained how Jesus died to save us from sinning (Acts 3:26, 1 John 3:5, Galatians 1:4, Titus 2:14, Matthew 1:21), rather than saving us in our sins.
Many in the crowd began to form a line next to the young man who tried to steal the crowd. They turned their backs to me, joined hands and the homosexuals, atheists, drunkards, fornicators, revelers, pot smokers, and “sinning” christianettes all joined in a prayer I am sure God ignored (Psalm 66:18, 1 Peter 3:12, John 9:31, 1 John 3:22, Proverbs 28:9).
The crowd continued growing to around 75-90. I preached until around 2:00 PM and then turned the crowd of 50-60 over to Sister Elizabeth. She did an excellent job of maintaining the crowd size, answering questions and preaching until around 2:50 PM. I seemed to be making some progress with some of the students on the sidelines. Sister Elizabeth called on me again around 2:50 PM and I preached and answered questions until 3:40 PM when I ran out of water. The crowd size remained from 30-60 throughout the rest of the afternoon.
Sister Elizabeth preached and answered questions for a few minutes while I took a restroom break. I returned around 3:45 PM and I sat down in the chair and tried to answer questions. This went well for some time but at times I would stand up and begin preaching again. I preached until around 4:10 PM and left the students under conviction with the Sword of the Spirit in their heart (Hebrews 4:12, Psalm 45:5). We continued having conversations with small groups of students until around 4:30 PM. I had a good conversation with the young man who tried to steal the crowd by preaching in front of me. He seemed to be a student of the scriptures and said he would study up on the things I told him.
FAVOR WITH THE POLICE
Before we left the head of security came up and introduced himself and thanked us for following all the rules and exercising our first amendment rights the proper way. We thank God for giving us favor with the security as opposed to last year when they tried to order us to leave and gave me a trespass for using the school restroom.
Tuesday May 5, 2009-Ohio University-Athens, Ohio: The weather was supposed to be good today (no rain) so Sister Elizabeth and I made the 90 minute drive down to Athens to preach at Ohio University.
We had a great week of meetings here two years ago with large rowdy crowds. In spite of the rowdiness and even hostility of the crowd at times we knew we were making great progress. Last year preaching here we had crowds that were not as large but very civil and receptive. The students up here in Ohio seem to be much less familiar with the Bible than students down South but are much more philosophical. Even though they tend to be more liberal they seem to understand the concept of free speech better than most students down South.
I began preaching on the public sidewalk in front of the statue around 12:30 PM. Unfortunately, the lawn was being mowed right in the spot where I began preaching so this was somewhat of a hindrance for some time. I kept on preaching and a few students here and there would stop and listen for a few minutes and then leave.
Finally, the lawnmower got far enough away where it was no longer a hindrance. For some time I had small groups of 5-10 mostly listening with an occasional question or comment. It seemed every time a few more students would show up a few more would leave.
Gradually the crowd continued to grow and was very civil and attentive. I had relatively few questions as the students just listened as I preached and taught. The crowd gradually grew to around 40-50 and at 2:20 PM I turned the preaching over to Sister Elizabeth.
A REASONABLE CALVINIST?
Sister Elizabeth did an excellent job of preaching, answering questions and the crowd grew to around 60-70. I only had one student approach me on the sidelines and he was a very reasonable and sincere 5 point Calvinist who seemed to have a good understanding of what we were trying to accomplish by our preaching.
TOLERANT HOMOSEXUALS?
As Sister Elizabeth continued preaching the crowd moved in very close and sat down in the grass in front of her. They were like school children listening to a teacher tell a story and she had them eating out of her hand. I made the observation that this school seems to have the nicest most tolerant homosexuals I have seen anywhere. The crowd sitting in front of Sister Elizabeth was about 40-50 and many were homosexuals, lesbians and bisexuals. For some reason they seem to genuinely like us and God has given us a real love for them.
Sister Elizabeth continued preaching until 3:30 PM and then turned the crowd back over to me. As I began answering questions and preaching the crowd gradually thinned down to around 15-20. I stopped preaching around 4:30 PM so we could head back to Columbus. Sister Elizabeth and I continued talking to small groups of students until 5:00 PM. One student I was talking with was a very reasonable bisexual female who asked many good questions while I was preaching and listened carefully to my answers.
Wednesday May 6, 2009-Ohio State University-Columbus, Ohio: It was supposed to rain again today so we did not try to drive down to Athens but drove to nearby Ohio State University. I had only preached here one time before two years ago. Usually when I have been in this area other preachers have been preaching on this campus and I focused on Ohio University and Otterbein College.
Sister Elizabeth, Brother Rick and I drove over to Ohio State University to meet with Bro Cope (veteran campus preacher who began preaching on campuses in 1977). We arrived on campus around 11:40 AM before Bro Cope arrived. Brother Rick had preached here several hours the day before. He invited me to begin the preaching.
I began preaching around 11:50 AM and almost immediately gathered a few listeners. Soon a small group of 20-25 began to gather, listen and ask questions. There were a few drops of rain falling here and there when I began preaching. I preached just over one hour and the rain was starting to come down a little more than when I began. I turned the preaching over to Bro Cope around 12:55 PM.
RAINED OUT
He preached for some time and after around 30 minutes it began to rain harder and many in the crowd dispersed. By 2:00 PM it was raining hard enough to rain us out of preaching as almost all but a few students had left.
We left the campus around 2:00 PM in the rain.
That evening I preached in the church where we were staying for over one hour from Judges 2:6-13 on “A Gospel of Power”.
Thursday May 7, 2009-Ohio State University-Columbus, Ohio: It was forecast to rain again today and was very overcast in the morning. I wanted to try to preach at Athens today but because of the weather situation I decided against it. Brother Rick had to head home the night before and would be arriving back between 12:00 noon and 1:00 PM. We decided to wait for him and drive together to preach at Ohio State University.
Another reason, we decided upon Ohio State University was Bro Cope had been invited by the chair person of the Students for Free Thought organization to their 7:00 PM meeting on campus. Most of these students are atheists.
Brother Rick, Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on campus around 1:30 PM. Bro Cope was there preaching but had not been able to get much going. The sun had just started coming out as we arrived.
Bro Cope preached until around 1:45 PM and then turned the preaching over to Brother Rick. Brother Rick changed locations and soon gathered a handful of listeners. The group slowly grew to around 15-20. After an hour he called on me to preach but I deferred to Bro Cope.
Bro Cope preached from 2:45 PM until around 3:35 PM and turned the crowd of 20-25 over to me.
Brother Rick and Bro Cope both had times of civil question and answer teaching sessions.
I began preaching around 3:35 PM and some left at first but gradually the crowd grew to around 30-35. I preached until 4:40 PM and then called on Sister Elizabeth to preach.
She preached to the crowd of 25-30 until around 5:40 PM.
INVADING THE STUDENTS FOR FREE THOUGHT MEETING
We then all walked across the street to eat something and then headed to the Students for Free Thought meeting. We do not know why they call themselves by this name as Brother Rick observed that all of them think the same way. We had some good discussion and interaction with them and they seemed to genuinely appreciate us coming. Most of these students are atheists, agnostics, anti-Christ or skeptics.
We left the campus around 9:45 PM.
Friday May 8, 2009-Otterbein College-Columbus, Ohio: I wanted to try to preach today at Ohio University down in Athens but the forecast was predicting rain again. We decided to head over to Otterbein College and preach there since it was in Columbus and if we got rained out it would not be as big of a deal as making a long trip.
FROM OPPOSER TO SUPPORTER
It was overcast and drizzling some on the way over. Sister Elizabeth, Brother Rick, and I arrived on campus around 11:55 AM. Brother Rick began preaching around noon and soon gathered a crowd of 20-25. He had a good atheist heckler at one point but a female student who firmly opposed us last year but this year seemed supportive and appreciative walked up to him and told him how stupid he looked. This seemed to zap the hecklers zeal and he left soon after. Brother Rick turned the preaching over to Bro Cope around 12:50 PM.
Bro Cope preached from 12:50 PM to around 1:30 PM to a crowd of 25-30. The crowd had been standing further back than the nearby steps in front of us but near the end of Bro’s preaching session several of the students came up and sat down on the steps in front of the preaching spot. The students had also not been interacting with the preachers much up to this time but now began to ask a few more questions. I believed now the atmosphere was right for a good day of preaching.
Bro turned the preaching over to me around 1:30 PM. Due to the groundwork laid by the other preachers it was relatively easy to build the crowd up some, get the students interacting more, and get them sitting up close to the preaching spot on the steps in front of us. The crowd grew to around 50-60. I preached until around 2:35 PM and turned the preaching over to Sister Elizabeth.
Sister Elizabeth preached to the crowd of 50-60 until around 3:25 PM and then turned the preaching over to Brother Rick.
GOD DEALS WITH FOOTBALL COACH TO GIVE TESTIMONY
Brother Rick preached from 3:25 PM to 4:05 PM to the crowd of 50-60. Around 4:05 PM a coach from the Otterbein football team asked to talk to me on the side. With tears in his eyes he told me something to the effect of “I feel so called of God to tell the students my testimony of how the Lord saved me but I am scared to death. I am trusting that God will give me the right words to say.”
We have to be careful for phonies and people who would like to get up and contradict everything we are preaching, etc. but I believed this man was genuine. I had a peace about him and a good witness in my spirit. I walked over and told Brother Rick.
From this time on the crowd began to gradually thin out. Brother Rick preached until around 4:25 PM. The coach then walked up to the remaining 15-20 students and though obviously nervous but very sincerely gave a short testimony. The students listened intently and applauded him as he walked away.
Bro Cope closed the day’s preaching with a few concluding remarks to the students around 4:30 PM.
While Brother Rick was preaching the last session of the day Bro Cope, Sister Elizabeth and I all seemed to have very productive conversations on the sidelines. I had a great discussion with a male homosexual who seemed to be seeking deliverance but seemed to have bought into the lie he was born that way.
From 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM we had a good discussion with a young man who was raised in a strict fundamentalist Baptist background.

Tuesday April 21, 2009: I had been invited by the pastor whose church I preached in the previous week (4/14/09) to come back and preach again the following week. I preached for over an hour from Judges 2:6-13 on “A Gospel of Power”.
Wednesday April 22, 2009: We left the Anderson-Clemson area in the morning and spent a good part of the day driving to our next location. In the evening I preached for over one hour from Judges 2:6-13 on “A Gospel of Power”.
GETTING THE RUN AROUND AT UNIVERSITY OF ‘SLICK CORRUPTION’
Thursday April 23, 2009-University of South Carolina-Columbia, South Carolina: It had been exactly two years since the last time I preached at this university. The administration and police had done many things to hinder the preaching from going forth at that time. I had reserved the area for several days but then was told later after the first day of preaching that they had made a mistake and another group already had the area reserved. Instead of having the free speech platform at noon they said I would have to wait until 3:00 PM to use it but I was welcome to use the public sidewalk which was only about 50 yards from the platform.
I began preaching on the last day of the winter 2007 semester on the public sidewalk around noon and gathered a large lively crowd of around 200. The administration and campus police stood by looking on. Around 1:35 PM I was stopped by a city of Columbia police officer and told I needed a permit to preach on the public sidewalk. I knew this was bogus and politely but frankly told the officer. However, since it was the last day of the semester, already close to 2:00 PM, having the platform reserved at 3:00 PM, and already gained the attention of the students I complied with the officer’s unlawful request.
I returned to the platform around 3:00 PM with the students waiting for me. A barricade was set up around the platform to keep the students away from me and I preached until around 4:30 PM.
ANOTHER YEAR BUT SAME STORY
After all of these events occurred two years ago I had not made this school much of a priority to preach at. I had called the campus several times to try and reserve the platform but was told by a very feminine sounding male who was now in charge of platform reservations that the area was not available.
Since I was fairly close to Columbia after preaching at Clemson and the semester was almost over it seemed good to me and the Holy Ghost to once again give preaching on this campus a try. We tried to reserve the area in advance but we were told with no explanation that from Monday-Friday from 12:00 PM-5:00 PM the week of April 20-24 the platform area was not available.
I believed this was a lie and the school was just trying to prevent us from preaching because they did not like the Biblical message and the students and administrators complain.
BRINGING IN REINFORCEMENTS
Brother Ross J. from North Carolina whom we met in September of 2007 while preaching at East Carolina University and was powerfully influenced by our preaching there and has now developed into a very effective campus preacher drove down to support the preaching and help in any way possible.
THE SET UP
We arrived early on campus and asked what was scheduled for the day. The person we asked was not the same one we had tried to reserve the area the previous week. They informed us the only activity scheduled was at 4:00 PM.
I now had an email from the person in charge telling me the area was not available and an audio recording of a person with a schedule for the day telling me nothing was going on there until 4:00 PM.
I then went into the office of the person in charge of making reservations to try to talk with them. I was told that he and his supervisor were in a meeting for the rest of the day. I told the secretary I had a record of being told the area was not available but someone else telling me the area was available until 4:00 PM. I informed her this was not going to be good for the school. She told me there was nothing she could do.
After I left the office I saw the woman rushing over towards the room where the meeting was taking place.
We filmed the platform area with nothing going on and then downloaded the audio recording we had from the staff members telling us the area was available.
CALLING THEIR HAND
I then mounted the platform and began preaching while using my audio recorder, Sister Elizabeth video recording, and Brother Ross as an eyewitness.
It was South Carolina humid, hot and in the 80’s and the platform area was all brick and concrete with little shade and no breeze. I began preaching just before noon. A police officer was in the area and soon I saw him sitting down next to Sister Elizabeth. They were conversing and laughing so I knew I was in the clear and would not be arrested.
I continued preaching and slowly began to gather a crowd. About 25-30 yards away from the platform are plenty of places to sit down and some shade but from there to the platform it is all concrete, no shade, and no place to sit. The crowd began to gather around the shady area where they could sit down. The crowd built up to around 60-75 by 12:35 PM and the feminine sounding man in charge approached me with a clipboard and a form to fill out.
GREAT EXAMPLE OF TOLERANCE
He introduced himself and told me he needed me to fill the form out. I asked him why he told me the area was not available when it was available. He was slithery as a snake and talked with a forked tongue and told me “You requested the area from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM each day and it was not available at those times.” He told me I could use the platform area until 2:00 PM because the activity at 4:00 PM required two hours of set up time.
Even though I did not like his dishonesty and double talk I was there to preach and glad to be able to so I filled out the form and requested Friday (4-24) and Monday (4-27) also.
I continued preaching on the platform as the sun beat down upon me and the crowd continued to grow. Near 1:00 PM the crowd was over 150 and the feminine man in charge returned with my permit. He told me everything was taken for Friday but I could have the platform from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM on Monday.
EXCELLENT DAY OF PREACHING IN SAUNA LIKE HEAT
The crowd continued to grow to around 200-230 but remained 25-30 yards away where there was shade and they could sit down. I had to work very hard to project my voice the entire time of preaching due to the crowd size and the distance between them and me.
Since the crowd was able to sit down and keep a good distance from me they remained fairly civil. They asked questions in an orderly manner and listened well to the preaching. It seemed to be a very profitable afternoon of preaching.
Around 1:45 PM about 25-30 students moved up to the front of the platform and began asking questions. I had already drunk 1 gallon of water in less than two hours. I answered their questions until 2:00 PM and then left the platform to get out of the sauna like heat.
JESUS THE HEALER
I was having a conversation with several of the students who had been listening to the preaching. One student kept trying to blame God for giving his grandfather cancer. I told him God does not give people sickness and quoted him Acts 10:38 and explained Jesus went about doing good and healing those oppressed by the devil. I then mentioned that someone may get cancer from living in rebellion against God.
WOULD BE ASSAULTER
At this point the student reared back and was ready to punch me even though the police officer was standing right there. As the student was restrained, the officer ordered us to begin leaving the campus. Brother Ross, Sister Elizabeth and I began heading towards our vehicle.
FAVOR WITH POLICE
Soon the police officer caught up to us to escort us to our vehicle. He seemed to apologize for ordering us to leave like that but I told him I understood his position and he has to appear neutral. We had a good conversation and based on our conversation he seemed to be a Christian and to really like us. He walked us to our vehicle and we said goodbye.
We thank God for helping us to resume preaching on this campus without being arrested.
Friday April 24, 2009-University of South Carolina-Columbia, South Carolina: As Sister Elizabeth and I were driving to the university I noticed a bank sign that said the temperature was 86 degrees and there was not a cloud in the sky.
TAKING BACK THE SIDEWALK
As we arrived on campus there was nothing happening on the free speech platform. I told Sister Elizabeth to get a video recording of that but I wanted to preach on the sidewalk spot instead. I had a great crowd here two years ago, there was more shade for the preacher, more shade for the crowd and grass for them to sit down on, and they could sit down closer to where I was preaching thus not have to project my voice as much.
FAVOR WITH POLICE AGAIN
I began preaching around 12:30 PM and it took a little time but slowly a crowd began to gather. They mostly just listened at first and did not ask any questions. While I only had a few listeners three police officers showed up. The crowd continued to grow to around 80-110. As the crowd continued to grow they became very rowdy at times but other times would listen well. The police officers did not interfere but they did make sure the crowd kept some distance from me.
The crowd was much more diverse than the Clemson crowd as there was a mixture of atheists, general heathens, homosexuals, professing Christians who sin all the time, and revelers.
Although I had a little shade from the trees behind me the sun still beat down on me and the concrete from the sidewalk made it even hotter. No breeze today either. I continued preaching until around 2:45 PM. By this time the crowd was very rowdy and moving in closer and closer. I stopped when the size was about 50-60. I tried to have some conversation with several of the students but as I patiently reasoned with them from the scriptures most of them dispersed as they had no interest in seeking the truth but to justify their rebellion against God.
MEN CAN HAVE BABIES!
Soon I was just talking to a handful of students but I decided to call it a day when one homosexual tried to tell me men could have babies. The other few students sided with the homosexual so I decided not to waste any time on such foolishness (Romans 1:28).
Sister Elizabeth and I left the campus around 3:10 PM.
JAILHOUSE HECKLER
Sunday April 26, 2009: We attended local church services where we were staying. I had the privilege of attending a jail service with the church and preached to the inmates for 30-40 minutes on “No Excuses for Sinning” from Job 21:34. I had one inmate who tried to heckle me some as I began preaching but he settled down and sobered up as the straight preaching of the Word of God went forth and he realized he could not rattle my cage.
In the evening service where we attended the pastor asked my wife and I to give our testimonies and talk about our preaching ministry on campus.
My dear wife also had the opportunity to teach the women’s Sunday school class and preach to the female inmates. It is an honor for her to serve the Lord.
Monday April 27, 2009-University of South Carolina-Columbia, South Carolina: It was another hot, humid, sunny day with the weather in the mid 80’s but thankfully there was some breeze. I had a permit for the platform area from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
LOVE OFFERINGS
I began preaching on the platform around 12:15 PM. There were already some students waiting for me as I began preaching and a crowd began to form immediately. Shortly after I began preaching several objects were thrown at me. A cup with orange drink soiled my pants. This was more like the University of South Carolina I remembered from two years ago!
LARGE CROWD GATHERS QUICKLY
Within 30 minutes the crowd was in the 300-325 range and somewhat rowdy. Like Thursday the crowd stayed about 25-30 yards from where the platform was so they could stand or sit in the shade.
MEAL OFFERINGS
Around 1:15-1:30 PM, 75-100 students from the crowd of 300-325 came forward and closed in around the platform. I had a plate of food thrown at me and was hit in the head with my own empty water bottle while the police stood around and watched.
At this point I asked Sister Elizabeth to take out the video camera and begin filming. When the police heard this they came alive and began to do their job by keeping the crowd back and making sure I was not assaulted.
CAGE PREACHER
Later barricades were brought out and set up around the platform to keep the students away from me and off the platform.
It was a real day of slug out hand to hand combat type preaching with all kinds of hecklers, hypocrites, and perverts trying to preach over me, ask questions at the same time and not allow me to answer them, make threats, accusations, etc.
Around 2:40 PM I tried to sit down and have some civil discussion with the crowd and this worked for a short time but soon they became rowdy and unreasonable once again.
I had one young man who seemed to be listening intently for some time and then began asking questions. After I answered each question of his thoroughly from the Bible he kept accusing me of “preaching for my own ‘glorification?’”
After I answered every objection he had he began to repeat over and over again as loudly as he could “Jesus died on the cross for our sins!” Yes and no one had a problem with that idea as even the devil believes that.
A REASONABLE CALVINIST
I stopped preaching around 3:30 PM with a crowd of 40-50 around the platform. On the walk back to the car I had a very good conversation with a young man who is a staunch 5 point Calvinist but who seemed very reasonable and willing to discuss the scriptures. I commended him as he was on campus witnessing and handing out tracts. He told me he desired to begin open air preaching and agreed with most of what I preached.

He was a great man and great preacher who was mightily used of God no doubt but he had some strange doctrines on some issues. He was a Larkin dispensationalist.
My good friend Brother Rick B. knew him well and stayed in his home.
I find it so interesting that so many people who think Hubert was so great would probably not like him much if they were to actually hear him.
He was probably much more confrontational and direct than most of the preachers who admire him so much. This is why he was beaten so badly so much.
Many of the preachers who admire him so much now do not like confrontational preaching that personally rebukes sinners and calls them names.
Hubert probably did this more than anyone. God bless him!

Hey Kerrigan the next time you go there and get everyone all mad and stirred up do not tell them that you are Brother Micah. Take the blame for your own preaching!

Tuesday April 14, 2009-Clemson University-Clemson, South Carolina: This school requires 72 hours of advance notice to obtain permission to use the free speech area. Sister Elizabeth and I drove up from Northeast Georgia last Thursday (April 9) to fill out an application for April 14-17.
RAINED OUT
When I woke up this morning it was raining. After several hours it stopped raining but was still very overcast. I had planned on leaving for the university around 11:00 AM. A young man from the area was interested in accompanying us to the university and he showed up at our trailer around 11:00 AM.
As we left for the campus it began raining again. We drove to the campus and I went into the office to get a copy of our permit. It was still raining. We drove to the area where we would be preaching and it was now raining very hard. It was around 11:45 AM.
We decided to go eat lunch. While eating lunch near the campus it stopped raining but then started again. At this point, I decided to wait to begin preaching until the following day.
INTERVIEW
The young man who has been filming some of our preaching from time to time was driving down and wanted to do an interview with me later in the afternoon. He interviewed me from 4:45 PM to 5:45 PM and then accompanied me to a local church.
The pastor called on me to preach and I preached for over an hour on “Advancing the Kingdom of God” from Matthew 6:10. The pastor invited me back to preach again the following week.
Wednesday April 15, 2009-Clemson University-Clemson, South Carolina: Sister Elizabeth and the young man filming showed up on campus around 11:30 AM. It seemed to be ideal weather for preaching.
DOUBLE SCHEDULED
As I approached the area I had reserved (Cox Plaza) I could hear loud music being played. The office scheduled both of us for the same area on the same day at the same time.
I could not understand how they could knowingly schedule a preaching event along with a group playing loud music in the same area at the same time. The group there had a lot of equipment and had obviously reserved the area in advance and planned this event. They sounded genuinely sorry and embarrassed about the situation even though it was not their fault.
I called the office and told them they needed to offer me an alternative spot. They said they could so we took the shuttle over to the office where we had made the reservation.
They said they could give me a concrete patio area (Hendrix Plaza) right next to the building where we made the reservation. It did not look like this spot was nearly as good as the other one but I decided to give it a try. It was getting close to 1:00 PM and the other area would be available around 2:00 PM. If this spot was no good, I would head over to the original spot around 2:00 PM.
SCALDING THE SUNBATHERS
I began preaching in the patio spot (Hendrix Plaza) around 12:50 PM. There were only a few people in the area. It is right next to the freshman dorms and area known for sunbathers. At times I would have students stop and ask a few questions, listen and then leave. It took some time but soon a crowd began to form. I was being very cautious in my preaching as I suspected the administration and police would try to censure me. The crowd continued to grow to over 100 and the police showed up.
When the crowd reached around 125 the police asked me to stop for a minute and wanted to see my permit. The administration then stepped in and began to explain to them how they had messed up the scheduling and allowed me to be in that spot on this day.
I continued preaching and the crowd continued to grow to around 150-175. Around 2:00 PM I was stopped by the administration and police and told to follow them into the office.
DOUBLE STANDARD: FILMING
When Sister Elizabeth and I came into the office the administrators and the police officer told me the young man was not allowed to do any filming. This sounded unfair to me but I do not really know what the law says about this. I told them I knew the young man filming but he was not actually affiliated with me and they would have to talk to him not me.
They then began to nitpick and exaggerate things about my preaching and tell me about some complaints they had received. I showed them my audio recorder and told them I had recorded everything I had said and clarified to them what had actually happened instead of what some student who did not like my preaching and tried to get me in trouble said.
We seemed to come to a mutual understanding and they seemed to understand I was fairly cooperative and respectful of them and were not there to make trouble. I left the office around 2:25 PM.
The young man who drove down to film was told he was not allowed to film anymore but of course this rule did not apply to the many others who were in the crowd filming with video cameras and mobile phones while I was preaching.
STIRRING THE POT
By now most of the crowd had left. I began preaching again around 2:30 PM and soon the crowd built right back up again and grew even larger than before to around 200-220. The school newspaper had showed up earlier and was taking pictures and asking questions.
Throughout the afternoon I did everything I could to comply with the officers and administrators so they would have no excuse to shut me down and kick me off campus. However, they did not seem to mind at all as the students ran up in my face, touched me, followed me around, called me all kinds of names, etc.
DOUBLE STANDARD: SAFETY FIRST!
I was continually told while in the office that “safety was first” but when students ran into my face, followed me around, touched me and threatened me nothing was ever said to them nor was “safety” enforced.
Needless, to say I did not appreciate this hypocritical double standard but I said nothing because it would do no good anyway.
WHAT IS THIS?
One female student who claimed to be a Christian came running up in my face screaming and yelling and demanding me to show her where in the Bible it said Christians were expected to stop sinning. I showed her 1 John 5:18 and if it was not so sad it would have been funny. She read the verse and absolutely could not believe what she was reading. She turned around and looked at her classmates standing around and said as she looked at my Bible “What is this?!”
I was getting ready to stop preaching around 3:30 PM but then the majority of the crowd began leaving anyway because some of the students told them to leave and not listen to me. Some students had also gone to ask my wife questions.
FRUITFUL DISCUSSION
Around 3:40 PM several students came up and began asking me questions. I sat down and began answering their questions in a calm manner. The crowd gradually grew from a few to about 35-40 students sitting and standing around listening and asking questions. I continued this until around 4:20 PM. We then began to leave the area.
It was a hot day and the spot where I was preaching was all concrete and had no shade. I felt a little overheated as we left the campus area.
That evening I preached in the local church where we were staying for over one hour on “Advancing the Kingdom of God” from Matthew 6:10.
Thursday April 16, 2009-Clemson University-Clemson, South Carolina: Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on campus around 11:30 AM. It was another day of great preaching weather.
I arrived in the free speech area (Cox Plaza) which I had reserved around 11:40am. A student came up and introduced himself and we talked a few minutes. I began preaching around 11:50 AM and immediately a crowd began to gather and listen.
NO SMALL STIR
In a very short time the crowd grew to over 100 and continued to increase. Soon the crowd grew to over 200 and began to close in on me. An administrator woman did her best to try to make the crowd back up but they did not listen well.
Soon several police officers showed up and began to make the crowd back up and keep a distance about 5-7 yards away from me. It was a real slug out day of combat preaching with large crowds of 200-250 all afternoon long and students constantly firing questions, comments, accusations, and trying to preach over me.
At times they would quiet down and listen to some preaching. I did my best to take questions in an orderly manner and this worked well at times but soon the crowd would become so convicted as their excuses for sinning were ripped away by the Sword of the Word of God they would get rowdy again.
The 3-4 police offices stood directly behind me all afternoon long along with several administrators as the crowd of 200-250 continued to try to close in.
Several times the officers would step in and make the students back up again and several times they had to move individual students back.
PREACHING IS HARRASSMENT?
It was amazing how so many students needed to talk to the administrators and have them explain to them why Americans have a right to freedom of speech. The students kept whining and complaining and demanding to have me removed but the administration did a good job of standing their ground.
One student accused me of harassment. I wondered how students can become so brainwashed into believing one person surrounded by 250 people who disagree with him and can walk away any time they want to be harassment. It is a testimony as to how effective open air preaching of the Word of God is.
SAVED BUT STILL SINNING!
Most of the questions, comments, preaching throughout the afternoon were the typical Bible Belt type of “sinning” Christians “who can’t live right and can’t die wrong”.
I discovered almost every student on this campus was “saved” but they were all “sinners” also. I repeatedly explained you cannot be a Christian and a sinner at the same time (John 9:31, 1 Peter 4:18, 1 Peter 3:12, 1 Timothy 1:8-9).
THE CAGE PREACHER
After the police backed the students up away from me several times I asked the police if they had any barricades they could surround me with to keep the crowd back. They said they did not but then about 45 minutes later they showed up and formed a square around me made of four barricades.
OFFICER HAS CHANGE OF HEART
The officers did an excellent job today of keeping the crowd back without interfering and did not attempt to censure me the way they did the day before. We praise the Lord for this as the same officer was on duty that day.
One large male African American student showed up dressed like Jesus with a white robe and fake beard. Another student showed up dressed like me with Harry Potter as his Bible.
Around 2:30 PM the crowd was still around 200-250 and just as rowdy if not rowdier. I had been preaching in the direct sunlight with brick all around me since before noon. I wanted to try to sit down and have some discussion with some of the more serious students and try to weed out the hecklers, hypocrites, and perverts. The problem was inside my barricade pen was no place to sit down. Most of the time if I sit down the students calm down because it is a less combative posture.
I asked the officers if it was ok for me to move to an area where I could sit down and they said it was as long as I stayed inside the Cox Plaza. They moved the barricades to another spot in the shade with a brick planter to sit on.
NO EXCUSE FOR SINNING
I sat down and for about 15-20 minutes the students remained somewhat calm and civil and we had some good discussion. I was able to totally refute 1 John 1:8 as an excuse to sin by putting it in context and this seemed to really convict the students and they began to become uncivil again. The crowd size went down a little when we moved and I sat down but soon it seemed to grow right back to the 200-250 range.
As the students became rowdy again, I had no choice but to get up and continue preaching. I continued preaching until 3:30 PM. It remained a slug out until the end as the crowd was large, rowdy and would try to preach and yell over me and all ask questions at the same time. One black male student acknowledged to the crowd that I was preaching the truth of the Bible.
We left the campus around 3:30 PM escorted by the police.
Friday April 17, 2009-Clemson University-Clemson, South Carolina: Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on campus again around 11:40 AM. There was a front page picture and article of the preaching in the school newspaper.
GOD’S CONDITIONAL FORGIVENESS
I began preaching inside the barricade area under the shade around 11:50 AM. I began preaching on the conditional forgiveness of God (Luke 13:3, 5, Proverbs 28:13, Matthew 6:14-15, 1 John 1:7, 9, Acts 3:19).
This subject was heavy on my heart as the day before Sister Elizabeth and I kept being invited to the FCA meeting (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) by the students. I thought this was some kind of Bible study where I could interact with the students and have some discussion so we drove out to the university on Thursday night.
When we showed up we discovered hundreds of students dressed as if they were going to a club but carrying their “Fashionable NIV” Bibles. It was going to be some kind of “Christian rock concert” and then have a speaker talking about how someone cannot lose their salvation.
Needless to say we left as we could not stomach either of these.
As I began preaching and explaining the conditional forgiveness of God a large crowd began to form immediately and soon the questions were flying. Soon a crowd of 150-250 surrounded the barricades and stayed this way for the remainder of the afternoon.
The police showed up and stayed behind me all day long but never interfered or tried to censure me in any way. They did an excellent job.
My wife had the opportunity throughout the three days to talk to students, discuss Bible verses, and give a Bible and a few tracts to the honest students.
It was another day of slug out preaching with students asking many questions at the same time, trying to yell and preach over me and the crowd loud and rowdy at times. At times the crowd would settle down and listen to some preaching and listen to me answer questions but soon would become rowdy again.
At 2:40 PM with the permission of the police officers I went to take a restroom break. I thought the crowd would disperse some after I left but when I came back the crowd was just as large as or larger than before.
ATTEMPT TO CALM ROWDY CROWD FAILS
At this point, I tried to sit down and have some discussion with the more sincere seekers of truth and weed out the hecklers, hypocrites and perverts but to no avail. The crowd size remained the same and every bit as rowdy. I was unable to have much calm, civil, question and answer type discussion so I went back to standing up and continued preaching. Of course, at times they would settle down and listen well.
I continued preaching until 4:00 PM and then we were escorted to our vehicle by several police officers.

Monday April 6, 2009-University of Georgia-Athens, Georgia: It was a very cold day today especially for Georgia at this time of year being in the 40’s, overcast and windy. Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on campus after 1:00 PM. Since there are usually activities’ going on at the Tate Center free speech platform in the early afternoon and it seems to be more difficult getting a crowd earlier in the day I usually do not try to begin preaching here until around 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM.
GOD LOVES HOMOSEXUALS
There was a young man sitting across from the Tate Center free speech platform holding a handmade sign that read something about how God loves homosexuals. I began preaching in the overcast, windy, 40 something degree weather. I was all bundled up with warm clothes but most of the students were underdressed as usual. The young man holding the sign came over to talk to me later and claimed to be a Christian but was very confused. To his credit he was civil and carried a Bible.
I gathered small groups of up to 5 throughout the afternoon and had some excellent conversations. The students who stood in the cold and discussed seemed to be genuinely interested but I could see them shivering all over and struggling to stay.
After the last students left around 3:10 PM I exited the platform and called it a day.
Tuesday April 7, 2009-University of Georgia-Athens, Georgia: It was another overcast, cold and windy day with temperatures once again in the 40’s. It was supposed to rain all day and was raining as we drove to campus.
We arrived after 1:00 PM and there was some dance group playing music and dancing on the platform. As Sister Elizabeth and I waited in the Tate Center for the dancing group to leave we saw a friend of ours whose father pastors a church in Florida. She came over to eat her lunch with us and fellowship.
Around 2:15 PM I noticed the dance group was finishing up. I left Sister Elizabeth and the other sister and began preaching on the platform around 2:30 PM.
ROWDY CROWD
I soon gathered a rowdy crowd that continued to grow to around 50-70. Later the sun came out some although it remained cold and windy. Students in the crowd jumped up on the platform, got in my face, followed me around, tried to take my Bible from me, held up hand made signs judging and condemning me, threatened me, etc.
The crowd closed in around the platform and later I had about 25-40 students gathered asking questions, heckling and sometimes listening intently. I preached until around 4:30 PM and continued to sit around and answer questions from 5-15 students gathered until after 5:00 PM.
Sister Elizabeth and I headed for the car and one male heckler and a female student who professed to be a Christian and seemed genuinely trying to understand what we were doing followed us. We continued talking to them for some time and the female student seemed to have gained a better understanding of what we were trying to accomplish, thanked us and left.
The male student heckler seemed to want to try to follow us to our vehicle but as he was dishonest and insincere I did not trust him. We gave him the slip and headed to our vehicle. He watched us from inside the glass windows. This young man was on crutches due to a tattoo he had gotten on the bottom of his foot.
Wednesday April 8, 2009-University of Georgia-Athens, Georgia: Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on campus after 1:00 PM. The weather seemed ideal for preaching but unfortunately there was a muslim activity complete with food, music and speakers going on at the Tate Center platform. The meeting seemed to be scheduled for the entire afternoon. We waited around to see if it would finish.
GREAT DISCUSSION INSIDE THE TATE CENTER
We were sitting in the Tate Center talking to a friend of ours who traveled and preached for years on the university campuses and lives in the Athens area. Several students I recognized had gathered around our area and began talking to our friend, mainly trying to voice their criticisms of me and my preaching to him.
I listened for some time and finally entered the conversation. Soon our friend left and I continued answering the students’ accusations, comments, and questions with thorough scriptural answers. For several hours we sat in the Tate Center and had discussion and answered the questions of a group of 10-15 students. It seemed to be a very profitable time overall. Some of the students did not like the answers given and had no way to Biblically refute them so they ended up leaving exasperated but others remained and continued listening intently and asking more questions.
We left the campus around 4:30 PM as I was scheduled to preach that evening in the church where we were staying.
That evening I preached for almost an hour from Judges 2:6-13 on “A Gospel of Power”.
Thursday April 9, 2009-University of Georgia-Athens, Georgia: Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on campus after 1:00 PM again. It was another day of great preaching weather but once again the platform area was taken up again with an all day activity dealing with stopping domestic & sexual violence against women called “Take Back the Night.” PREPARING FOR CLEMSON
After some discussion Sister Elizabeth and I decided to make the almost two hours drive over to Clemson University to reserve the free speech area for the following week. They require 72 hours advance notice so if we did the paperwork today we could begin preaching there the following Tuesday.
We made the drive over and filled out the paperwork for the permit. We also located the free speech area.
That evening I preached in a local church for over one hour on “Advancing the Kingdom of God” from Matthew 6:10.
Friday April 10, 2009-University of Georgia-Athens, Georgia: Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on campus after 1:30 PM. It was overcast and supposed to rain.
There was a group near the platform with tables set up playing loud music. I waited for some time and around 2:00 PM they began packing up.
AN UNUSUAL DAY
I began preaching on the platform around 2:10 PM. I gradually drew a crowd of 35-40 but most of them remained far from the platform in the areas around the Tate Plaza where they could sit down. It was a strange day as the crowd listened intently but did not ask many questions at all.
A SEEMINGLY SINCERE SEEKER TURNS ON ME
I had some fierce hecklers, most of whom I recognized from Wednesday’s discussion in the Tate Center. One young man seemed to ask very good questions that day and listen intently to my answers, did not object and thanked me when he left. However, this day he would jump in front of the 35-40 listeners and tell them not to listen to me, I was preaching false doctrine, was a false prophet, and Jesus died on the cross for their sins, and God loved them.
HELL FULL OF THOSE GOD LOVED AND GOD’S CONDITIONAL FORGIVENESS
Of course I preach and believe Jesus died on the cross for their sins because He loved the world but I let them know hell was full of people Jesus died for (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Matthew 23:33, 25:30, 25:41). I also preached God’s forgiveness and mercy was conditional upon repentance (Proverbs 28:13, 1 John 1:7, 1 John 1:9, Luke 13:3,5, Acts 3:19). I preached Jesus died to save them from their sinning and not to save them in their sins (Matthew 1:21, Acts 3:26, Galatians 1:4, Titus 2:14, 1 John 3:5, John 1:29). I also preached the issue was not whether or not God loved them but whether they loved God (John 14:15, 1 John 5:3, John 15:10), and anyone sinning did not love God (Matthew 6:24, 1 John 1:5, John 3:19-20).
JUDGING FALSE PROPHETS Another heckler I recognized from Wednesday was a Catholic student who had heckled me fiercely on Tuesday by judging me as a false prophet because I was judging and we were not supposed to judge. I always ask the students how we know false prophets if we cannot judge. They always call me a false prophet and then I tell them I thought we were not supposed to judge.
This Catholic boy came out with all kinds of false information about me about how I go around and get people to hit me and then sue people. He taped this information up on the walls and students came around and would be reading it while I was preaching. With all this heckling going on it seems it would have drawn in a large crowd but there were just not many students in the area on a late Friday afternoon with bad weather.
I continued preaching until 4:00 PM and then sat down to talk and answer questions from a small group of 5-10 students. A student who wrote an article on me in the school newspaper in October 2007 recognized me and scheduled an interview with me on Monday around 12:45 PM.
GOD’S PROTECTION
We left the school after 5:00 PM. There were tornadoes in the area that evening but the Lord protected us and our property.
Monday April 13, 2009-University of Georgia-Athens, Georgia: The weather today was overcast and drizzling rain as I drove to campus for the interview. I met the student around 12:50 PM and he interviewed me until 2:30 PM.
After the interview I headed back to where we were staying to pack up and head to our next location to prepare to preach at Clemson University the following day.

So in other words Jonathan no one pays any attention to you when you preach?
