You are both right about some things.
You are Acts 20:26-27. You declare part of the counsel of God because that part fits your belief system. You reject and explain away the parts that do not.
I am sorry you are a betting man. Real Christians do not gamble. The Holy Ghost will lead you into the truth though if you will listen (John 16:13).

He is as ridiculous as you are.
He contradicts the Bible he claims to believe.
Weak video.
Reminds me of Acts 20:26-27
Cults like yours only share part of the counsel of God not the whole thing.
Anyhow since both of you have agenda's (your church's) you do not follow scriptures so it is futile to try to discuss anything with you.
You have committed yourself to a belief system and not the truth.
How sad.

Student Arrest/Near Riot at Georgia Southern University 11/17/09
Tuesday November 17, 2009-Georgia Southern University-Statesboro, Georgia: A few weeks ago I was praying about where to preach as I made my way south towards the ending of the semester and it seemed the Lord brought Georgia Southern University to my remembrance.
CIRCUIT PREACHING
I have generally tried to stick to a circuit of campuses and try to preach those campuses on a regular basis. From a practical as well as Biblical standpoint the more time we are able to spend sowing, planting, plowing, preaching, teaching, watering, etc. the more fruitful we will be in the long run.
For this reason I generally have not gone out of my way to preach at places like Georgia Southern since their free speech policy only allows for one hour and a half of preaching one day per month. I preached on this campus once in Fall of 2006 and once in the Winter of 2007 and had not been back since.
A friend of mine who used to preach on the campuses full time used to preach here fairly regular but he came off the field over a year ago. I had known of no one besides myself who had done any preaching here since my last visit in Winter of 2007.
In addition to the very limited time of 90 minutes one day per month they also require 48 hours advance notice. I could not remember how long they required advance notice but when I saw this I considered moving on because I would have to wait around several days before I could preach there.
THE OPEN DOOR (1 CORINTHIANS 16:9)
When I arrived in the area the Lord opened several doors for me to preach in churches around the area so it seemed the Lord wanted me to submit the form and preach at Georgia Southern. We tried on Saturday to fax the form over to their office but could find no place open that would do so and had to wait until Monday morning.
Since the last time I had preached here the form had changed, the fax number had changed, and the people in charge had changed. We faxed the form but they misplaced it. We called them and they promised to call me back that day but never did.
MANY ADVERSARIES (1 CORINTHIANS 16:9)
Where I was staying I had no phone signal so I drove out to town the next morning (Tuesday November 17, 2009) and called them. They said they would call me back. They did not call me back so I called them back. They asked me if I wanted to preach today (Tuesday) or Wednesday since I put down both on the form in case Tuesday was too soon. The forecast said it was going to rain on Wednesday so I told them I wanted today (Tuesday).
It was already around 10:00 AM, I still had to get ready and we were over 1 hour away from the university. I put from 12:00 to 1:30 PM on the permit but I told them I would probably be later than 12:00 PM and asked if Iwould I still get an hour and a half. They said yes.
We arrived on campus around 12:40 PM. I had no copy of my permit and therefore had no proof I had permission to preach there. The way things had been handled so far I did not have much confidence in the staff so I wanted to make sure I had a copy of my permit on me before I started.
OPEN MIC OR FREE SPEECH?
There was also an “open mic” activity going on in the same area where I was supposed to preach with loud music being played. They told me the open mic activity would be over at 2:00 PM and the people I needed to talk to in order to get a copy of my permit were not in their office so I decided to wait.
At around 1:45 PM I met the lady who I used to work with in getting permission and she told me everything seemed fine but she would check with someone first to make sure I had clearance and get back with me before 2:00 PM.
Well 2:00 PM came and went and I thought I may have missed the Lord on this one. Finally, around 2:30 PM someone came out, apologized, gave me a copy of my permit, and told me I could preach until 4:00 PM.
I headed to the free speech area and began preaching around 2:40 PM. Gradually the crowd continued to grow. At first the crowd seemed civil and amused but as the crowd grew and the truth began to penetrate their heart (Hebrews 4:12) they began to get rowdy and angry.
At least one police officer was on hand and the crowd was probably close to 200. Students would move onto the grass area I had reserved and I would tell them they had to move off of the area because I had it reserved. Thankfully the police officer backed me up on this and would make sure the students stayed off the grass and on the sidewalk. This keeps a distance between the preacher and the crowd, makes it easier for the crowd to hear and keeps things safe.
The crowd continued to grow to from 200-250 and was getting angrier. I was preaching the Bible as straightforward as possible. Several students were acting as if they were trying to come at me and had to be held back by their fellow students.
STUDENT PREACHER OF GOD’S LOVE CURSES, RESISTS AND THREATENS POLICE OFFICER
At this point a student who claimed to be a Christian stepped on the grass between me and the crowd, tried to steal the crowd and preach a message similar to “God loves you no matter what”. The police officer asked the student several times to move off the grass and the student totally defied the police officer.
At this point the officer walked up and began to gently escort the student off the grass. When the officer touched the students arm the student jerked away from the officer, cursed at him, threatened him and told him not to touch him.
Rightfully the officer went for his handcuffs and attempted to arrest the student but the crowd blocked the officer and encouraged the student to run away (the “Christian” student who was preaching “love” to the crowd).
NO SMALL STIR (ACTS 19:23)
The officer chased the student and pandemonium broke out as the crowd chased the officer and the student. Soon the student surrendered and was arrested.
While the officer’s attention was on arresting the student some of the students who had been trying to get at me now had a free shot. They tried to attack but thankfully they were held back by fellow students and other officers arrived on the scene.
By now the crowd was incensed at the arrest and of course they blamed me. “Look at how you caused that man of God to get arrested!”
The crowd was on the verge of a riot and I was surprised but thankful the police allowed me to continue preaching. There were now at least four to five officers on the scene and the angry, bloodthirsty crowd was around 200-250.
HOLDING THE TRUTH IN UNRIGHTEOUSNESS (ROMANS 1:18)
Although the crowd was very loud, angry and unruly I was at times able to preach effectively and make good points most of the crowd seemed to hear , understand and resist (Acts 7:51, Acts 13:45, Acts 18:6) as indicated by their responses.
I seemed to be making some progress and the crowd was settling some when an officer tapped me on the shoulder at 4:00 PM and told me my time was up. Although technically I still should have had 10 more minutes I did not make it an issue based on the difficult situation they were faced with. Sister Elizabeth and I were escorted to our vehicle by several police officers.
This campus desperately needs more preaching and based on the response here I am planning on making preaching on this campus at least once per semester a priority.

God bless you Brother for your preaching up there. I don't think that part of the country gets much preaching and probably needs it as much as anywhere.
It is so sad most students are so ignorant of the Bible to think fornication and homosex are not sins and accuse us of twisting the Bible when we say so.
God bless the one student who was bold enough to openly say he agreed with you.
That so called "youth minister" sounds so arrogant in the article.

Amen and good report.
Yes, maybe some of those girls who are so desperate to remain two inches from your face while you are preaching you would possibly consider allowing them to submit to your authority as your wife if they got good and saved.

Wednesday November 11, 2009-Clemson University-Clemson, South Carolina: The evening we finished preaching at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte we left Charlotte and began heading towards Clemson, South Carolina. We spent the night at a Truck Stop and left early to arrive at Clemson earlier.
CLEMSON’S POLICY
I could not remember how many days advance notice Clemson University’s free speech policy required. My goal was to arrive on the Clemson campus on Friday morning and get a permit to preach the following week. I did not want to show up on Friday afternoon and be told everyone had already gone home for the weekend and I would have to wait until Monday to apply.
The last time I had preached on this campus was back in April and since no one I knew of had preached here in several years it made quite a stir. I was somewhat concerned about the administration trying to prevent me from preaching.
I arrived on the Clemson campus Friday November 6, 2009 around noon. The policy was three days advance notice so the earliest I could preach was Wednesday November 11, 2009. I applied for Wednesday November 11 through Friday November 13 from 12 noon to 5 PM.
Friday afternoon I received notice I could have Wednesday only from 12 noon to 2 PM but Thursday and Friday were available from 12 noon to 5 PM.
It rained all day Tuesday, all night Tuesday, and was still raining Wednesday morning. The forecast was calling for rain all day. Around 9:00 AM Wednesday the rain stopped and Sister Elizabeth and I prepared to head towards campus to preach.
The last time I preached here the police set up an area for me to preach with barricades to keep the crowd from moving too close to me. I was pleased when I arrived in the free speech area to see the area had again been set up for me to preach within barricades.
“YOU HAVE ALREADY HAD YOUR TIME HERE”
The weather was very overcast, in the mid 50’s and windy. I began preaching around 11:50 AM. When I first began preaching there was not many people around. One student walked by and said “You have already had your time here” as if to mean my first visit last semester had large crowds but this time no one was going to pay me any attention.
Soon I gathered a few listeners and the crowd soon grew to about 50-60. The crowd formed a nice semi circle around the barricade and kept a distance of about 10 yards away from the barricades. The crowd listened well and asked good questions. They did not make much noise as I would preach and answer questions but just listened.
GREAT CROWD AND GREAT DAY OF PREACHING
The crowd size gradually grew to over 100 and eventually reached around 150. As the size of the crowd increased they continued to remain in a nice semi circle, keep their distance, listen well and ask good questions.
For about 20 minutes the rain drizzled but it seemed to make no difference at all as the crowd size remained the same and the students continued listening.
A police officer was on hand and I understood my permit was only until 2:00 PM so I stopped preaching at 2:00 PM to the crowd of over 100. The police officer was very professional and escorted us to our vehicle.
That evening I preached in a church for about one hour from Judges 2:10-11 on “A Gospel of Power”.
Thursday November 12, 2009-Clemson University-Clemson, South Carolina: The weather was calling for a mostly cloudy day with a high of 58 degrees. In the morning the sky cleared up and the sun came out. The forecast was now calling for a high of 65 degrees.
GOOD PREACHING WEATHER
A clear sunny sky with a high of 65 degrees is much better preaching weather than mostly cloudy skies with a high of 58. Praise the Lord!
I began preaching around 11:50 AM. I soon gathered a small crowd that continued to grow. Throughout the afternoon the crowd fluctuated from around 60-70 to around 200-220. The crowd was not nearly as civil as the day before but for a long time they kept a distance from the barricades.
Several of the students moved in close to the barricades and began trying to blow cigarette smoke in my face from where they were standing. They were not close enough to directly blow the smoke in my face but they did blow it in my direction and it began to pollute the air around me.
At this point I moved from the ground onto the planter behind my back. This helped me to elevate my voice above the crowd of 150-200 and helped me avoid some of the cigarette and cigar smoke.
I continued preaching until 3:00 PM and then sat down and took a seat. I tried to move from a preaching mode to a discussion and question/answer mode. This took some time to settle the crowd down and weed out the hecklers but eventually around 3:30 PM they settled down some.
LORD OF THE BREAKTHROUGH
The crowd thinned down to around 50-60 and I was able to have some good discussion and question and answer sessions with many of the students. Many of the students who had opposed me strongly earlier in the day began to open up some and ask good questions and listen well.
By 4:00 PM I was fairly tired so I left the barricaded area. Several students invited us out to dinner and continue the discussion. Throughout the afternoon, Sister Elizabeth had small groups of students around her. I explained of the students’ invitation for dinner and she said a Presbyterian student also wanted to join us. We agreed to eat with them.
We walked to a nearby restaurant. Strangely the students who invited us to eat did not offer to pay but one of the other students kindly paid for us.
For about one hour we sat with about 7-8 students and discussed the Bible and Christianity. After about one hour the workers came and told us they needed us to leave because it was dinner rush and they needed the tables and chairs.
Friday November 13, 2009-Clemson University-Clemson, South Carolina: It was a beautiful day for preaching with clear sunny skies and temperatures in the high 60’s to low 70’s.
When I arrived in the free speech spot I noticed all types of graffiti done with chalk on the cement in the preaching spot dealing with the content of the preaching.
There was a photo with a caption of myself preaching on the front page of the university newspaper. Some students were already waiting for me when I began preaching around 11:45 AM.
POLICE INTERFERENCE
The crowd built up fairly quickly to around 40-60. The police were on hand as usual but it was a different officer. The officer did not try to censure me at all but when students would cuss at me or oppose me strongly he would not allow them to do this.
I believe the officer was trying to help and do his job but I think he was censuring the students and in some ways I think it hindered the crowd development. The students became very cautious and were not sure what was acceptable and what was not.
After some time the officer seemed to loosen up some and the crowd grew to around 150. For the remainder of the afternoon the crowd fluctuated from 50-60 to around 150.
A black man who seemed to work at the school brought me a cup of ice and a bottle full of water. Later, I noticed a brand new gallon of water next to me which read: To Brother Micah from Clemson University.
One student came out dressed like the pope. Another student came out with a hand made poster board condemning me with no shirt on and body paint and writing all over him.
THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD
The crowd was more rowdy than the previous two days but later on in the afternoon it seemed the Lord anointed me strongly to preach loud, hard and strong. During these times the crowd would just stand silent and listen.
Other times the crowd would break into school chants and songs to drown out the preaching.
I preached on until around 3:00 PM. At this point I had several asking good questions I was trying to answer but there were still many in the crowd heckling and hindering the sincere seekers of truth from receiving answers.
GIVING MY TESTIMONY
After some time many of the hecklers left and the remaining crowd began to settle down. Some time after 4:00 PM several of the professing “Christian” students who had been challenging me on many things wanted to hear my testimony.
As I gave my testimony the majority of the crowd listened attentively and it seemed to make an impact. Unfortunately, some of the so called “Christians” who were so interested in hearing my testimony did not pay much attention (or at least gave that appearance).
From 4:30 PM to around 5:00 PM I had some very good discussion with several students on Christian doctrine who were being influenced by Calvinism.
FROM HECKLER TO TOTAL RESPECT
Around 5:00 PM as we prepared to leave the barricade preaching spot a black male student had been clowning and heckling earlier in the day was now showing me the utmost respect and admiration. After apologizing to me for heckling me he told me and the other students “When I first heard you I thought you were a joke but as the day went on I continued listening to you and realized everything you were saying was the truth!”
I do not think this student would say he was living in the truth but apparently he had been exposed to Bible truth in his life.
Several students came up and sincerely thanked us for coming and seemed to be supportive of the preaching.
Sister Elizabeth and I went to the library to do some business and as we were leaving two male students apparently had been waiting for us. They asked to pray for me and I allowed them to pray for me.
GOD’S FAVOR
During the three days of preaching it seemed the Lord really gave us favor on this campus as he has done on other campuses (such as University of Central Florida) as so many of the students begin to open up to us and begin to genuinely appreciate our presence on campus.
BREAKING A CAMPUS
Campus preaching is always effective but it takes on much greater effectiveness after you endure and take all the abuse the students can hurl at you and at the end of the day you are still preaching the same message to them. It earns their respect and they begin to take you much more seriously. This causes them to open up to you more.
We praise the Lord for this and give God all the glory. Please continue to pray for us!

Tuesday November 3, 2009-University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Charlotte, North Carolina: It was a clear sunny day in the high 60’s. Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on campus around 11:40 AM and I began preaching in front of the Belk Tower around 11:55 AM.
I slowly gathered a few listeners and the crowd continued to grow to over 100. The crowd was attentive at times and other times were rowdy. Several hecklers in the crowd would periodically come in my face and go on a rant.
PEACEFUL ISLAM
The crowd continued to grow to over 150. There were several muslim students in the crowd. One muslim male came up in my face while I was preaching. He followed me around, making threats and bumping me. I knew he was probably ready to deck me so I did not try to provoke him but did not back down either. I continued moving, preaching, and letting him and the crowd know the ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN WAS THROUGH THE ONLY TRUE GOD THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and not islam.
He began making some chant sounding like a jhad war cry and all the other muslim students joined in with him. This of course was somewhat unsettling as I did not know what the muslim students were getting ready to do next but I continued preaching. It reminded me of the anti-American, anti-Israel rallies conducted in countries under Islamic law or rallies in European countries where a good number of the population is muslim.
ARE CIGARETTES CLEAN?
Soon some of the students moved the angry muslim student away from me. Later this same student was smoking cigarettes. Most muslim students I have met on university campuses smoke like chimneys. I do not understand why it is ok for them to smoke but not ok to eat pork. Is smoking clean? A female student spit on me and then walked off. I do not think this student was a muslim. I turned around and noticed a police officer. The police officer said he did not see anything but did let the crowd know they were not allowed to spit on me. This is important because it seems many students have the idea since we are Christian fundamentalists and most of them disagree with us that we do not have the same basic rights as everyone else.
LET’S MOW THE GRASS
The crowd eventually grew to around 200. It seemed the school officials were trying to disrupt the preaching. A huge crane showed up with several workers to do something on the Belk Tower. Later they were riding around the preaching area mowing the grass. Several times I had full coffee cups thrown at me.
By around 2:15-2:30 PM the crowd size had dwindled down to around 30-40. It was difficult to preach above the noise from the lawn mower. I continued preaching and answering questions until 3:00 PM.
Wednesday November 4, 2009-University of North Carolina at Charlotte-Charlotte, North Carolina: The weather was again clear and sunny and in the mid 60’s. Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on campus around 11:30 AM and I began preaching in front of the Belk Tower around 11:50 AM.
All around the Belk Tower were silhouettes of homosexual couples with captions such as “Why can’t we have a family?” and “We want health insurance benefits also.”
A crowd began to gather much quicker today. This usually happens as the word gets out around campus about the preaching and the momentum builds. Soon the crowd grew to over 100 and continued growing. I had several hypocrites come up and challenge me on certain verses in the Bible but when I began to answer them they were not even listening.
WHO CARES IF IT IS IN THE BIBLE?
Several hecklers came up in my face and followed me around for some time as I continued preaching. One female student who claimed to be a Christian made a totally unbiblical statement and when I showed her a Bible verse that totally refuted what she had said she refused to look at it and then stormed off mad.
GOOD JOB BY POLICE
Several aggressive black lesbians kept walking up in my face and following me around. The crowd continued to grow to around 225-250 and began crowding in on me. Thankfully, several police officers showed up and made the crowd give me some space. One student standing next to me was holding a brick he had brought out to hit me with. I did not even notice him but the police officers confronted him and removed him. The crowd had become quite rowdy but now had to behave somewhat due to the police presence of 3-6 officers.
I preached on effectively for some time to the large rowdy crowd. Gradually the crowd decreased to around 30-40 and I thought things were winding down. Most of the hecklers were gone and it seemed we were having an excellent time of answering questions and discussion.
DID ANYONE KNOW JOEL OSTEEN HAD A BLACK TWIN?
This was all too much for a feminine sounding black male student who wanted everyone to know he was a Christian and knew about the Bible. Not only was he a Christian but also he wanted everyone to know he was also a preacher. He began to interrupt and tried to steal the attention of the crowd. I told him to go to the other side and get his own crowd. He refused. His mannerisms reminded me of a want to-be televangelist. I refuted every objection he made to my preaching with the Word of God. Of course, the crowd cheered for him (Luke 6:26, Romans 16:18, 2 Timothy 4:3-4) but when he tried to preach they ignored him.
He eventually said he was going to pray a prayer to rebuke me and called the crowd to join him. So the wanna-be preacher along with the atheists, drunkards, fornicators, homosexuals, etc. all joined to pray against the preacher who was preaching repentance, faith, salvation, holiness, and hell-fire.
I told him and the crowd since I was still there preaching the same message after they prayed and rebuked me either I was of God or he was full of the devil or both.
As I continued to preach the crowd eventually grew back to around 60-70 and I continued preaching and answering questions until 3:00 PM.
I sat down and was immediately surrounded by about 30-40 students asking all kinds of questions. I sat and answered questions until around 3:20 PM.
I had promised a student an interview for a school project dealing with homosexual marriage.
My wife also informed me two students from the campus newspaper gave her their contact information to set up an interview for the university newspaper.
Thursday November 5, 2009-University of North Carolina at Charlotte-Charlotte, North Carolina: Another beautiful clear sunny day in the mid 60’s. We arrived on campus around 11:20 AM.
There was a Christian student group on the other side of the Belk Tower giving away free coats to those who needed them. Most of the coats were used coats that had been donated or unclaimed. Two of the coats were new.
PRAYER ANSWERING GOD!
On the way to the campus my wife told me she was praying about how our anniversary had just past and how I had needed a new jacket for the cold weather coming up and had been wanting to get me one. When she approached the Belk Tower she asked the group what they were doing and they told her. They pulled out two jackets and gave them to her. Both of them were new and nice. One happened to fit me perfectly and the other fit her perfectly!
I was totally oblivious to any of this as I approached the Belk Tower and greeted the group handing out the jackets. As a courteous I let them know since they were on one side first I was going to preach on the other side.
THE RETURN OF JOEL OSTEEN’S TWIN BROTHER
I began preaching around 11:50 AM and soon had a small group. The crowd continued growing to about 100-125. I noticed the feminine sounding black wanna-be televangelist “preacher” from the day before. I knew he could not stand the thought of standing there and not letting everyone know he was a preacher and knew something about the Bible and expected him to try and steal the crowd.
Soon he jumped between the crowd and me and began his “preaching”. To spite me the crowd acted as if they were ignoring me and paying close attention to everything he said. I challenged him to get his own crowd and told everyone who wanted to hear him to move to another spot and listen to him. He would not move so I continued to preach over him some, heckle him some, and ask him questions about what he was preaching. Of course he always refused to answer.
Thankfully after some time he went to the other side of the Belk Tower and all but about 30-40 students went with him. I knew they would be back soon. I continued to preach and answer some good questions now that the distraction was out of the way.
THE ABSOLUTE FINAL WORD ON EVERYTHING TO KNOW ABOUT EVANGELISM
A female student came running up to me and whispering to me in a condescending way “Hey I know a better way to do this…Go to wayofthemaster.com”
Why is it that when people learn something new they think they are the only ones who have any knowledge on the subject? How come every time someone finds out about wayofthemaster.com they think that is the final word on everything concerning evangelism?
I told the student I was familiar with Ray Comfort and preaching the law and I do preach the law (which anyone who listens to me preach on campus would quickly realize if they would stop and listen for a few minutes). I quickly asked her if she was living free from sin, which she freely admitted she was not. I told her she was not saved and must repent.
After a few minutes most of the former crowd began returning and asking more questions. Soon the crowd was bigger than it was before Joel Osteen’s black twin brother ran off with most of the previous crowd.
Of course Joel’s twin was right back also green with envy and waiting to interrupt but by now it was too late. They already heard him and had gotten their “kicks” by listening to him to spite me but had quickly become bored and came right back.
He tried to interrupt again and I kept preaching over him and answering the questions many were asking and wanting an answer for. One student suggested we each take a turn preaching. Joel’s twin, the crowd and I all agreed.
By this time the crowd was over 200. I preached for five minutes and then gave Joel’s twin brother a turn. I then took another five-minute turn and refuted everything he preached with scriptures.
When it was his turn the crowd then asked if they could ask questions before Joel’s brother had another turn. Every question the crowd had was directed to me and I began to answer the questions with scripture and continued preaching.
MEGACHURCH PREACHING BORES STUDENTS
The crowd continued growing to 250-275. To be fair I offered my opponent another turn. He began to preach the same thing he said the last time he had a session. I began to act as if I were yawning, and about to fall asleep. The crowd would not admit it but they were bored too as they were firing questions at me while Joel’s twin brother was preaching.
For the remainder of the day I preached and answered questions from the crowd of around 300 while Joel’s brother would try to interrupt. The crowd was so large and although not rowdy for a crowd that size (300 people do not have to make a lot of noise individually to be loud as a whole) Joel’s twin did not have the voice volume to be heard and was all but ignored for the remainder of the day.
Around 2:10 PM I was very tired from trying to preach over Joel’s twin and the very large crowd. I exited the large crowd and took a seat on the Belk Tower hoping to weed out the hecklers, hypocrites, and perverts and take the time to answer with more clarity the questions some of the more sincere students had.
A group of 15-20 gathered around and we had a great time of discussion for some time. Several in the crowd really seemed to agree with me, be supportive of the preaching, and appreciative of our presence there.
Later I had a long discussion with an atheist. This seemed to draw more students around me. Soon 30-40 students surrounded me. I continued this discussion until 3:20 PM.
I had promised a student from the campus newspaper an interview at 3:15 PM. I met him and followed him to an area where we could sit down. The student did a long, thorough interview and seemed to want to be fair and unbiased.
We concluded the interview around 4:00 PM.
ANOTHER ANSWER TO PRAYER
As we were preparing to head to where our vehicle was parked there were two computers accessible to the public. We stopped to check a few things on the computer.
As I was praying in the morning a muslim girl who I remember from last year kept coming before me. She had been sitting in the meetings each day for hours listening. The first day she asked several questions. I believed the Lord showed me this muslim girl was being dealt with by the Lord, was sincere, and was really seeking to know the truth about God. As I prayed it seemed I saw myself telling her this while I was preaching and she was sitting in the crowd.
WORD OF KNOWLEDGE?
I did remember her being in the crowd but the day was so hectic with the large crowds, all the interruptions and the constant questions I had totally forgot about what happened in prayer that morning.
While I was standing using the computer I heard a student thank me for coming and I turned around and it was the muslim girl who kept coming before me in prayer! Sister Elizabeth and I talked to her for some time and as I was talking to her I remembered what I believed the Lord had shown me in prayer. I told her what had happened and told her what I believed the Lord had showed me in prayer. It seemed to really touch her as she said that made her want to cry.
We agreed to stay in contact with her. Please pray for her.

Brother Jesse thanks for writing this report. I would like to see more of this from you in the future.
I am probably the wrong person to say this though but I think it would be better to break it up into smaller parts. It is a lot to read in one sitting.

Universities of North Carolina (Chapel Hill and Greensboro) 10/21-10/22/09
Wednesday October 21, 2009-University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill-Chapel Hill, North Carolina: It was a beautiful day for preaching with clear weather in the high 70’s. I never try to begin preaching on this campus at noon because usually the ideal preaching area known as “The Pit” has all kinds of events going on in the morning until noon.
I have usually been able to get large crowds at this campus regardless of the time. I usually try to begin preaching around 1:00 PM. We parked around 1:20 PM and by the time I had walked to “The Pit” it was around 1:40 PM.
POLICY BACKGROUND
It looked as if there were three events going on in “The Pit”. I knew the policy stated there could only be two events at a time. It does not matter if the other groups do not care but if those involved in a previously reserved event complain they can have the third group removed from “The Pit”.
In the past, if there were two events going on I would ask the one I was nearest to if they would have a problem if I began preaching. They have always said it would be no problem. I would then move as far away as possible from them so as not to interfere.
I did not want to start preaching and then have someone complain and be removed so I looked around for the police. There were three police officers in the area but none of them knew anything about the policy but acted as if they did.
I was told I needed to go talk to someone in the student union and reserve the area. I knew this was not correct. I had never done this in three years and know a preacher who has preached here regularly for many years and he has never made a reservation to preach in “The Pit”.
WHAT IS THE POLICY?
I went in to the office they told me to go to and asked for a copy of the policy. The person I was supposed to talk to was not in but they sent me to another office. I explained to the administrator my situation and what I understood about “The Pit” policy.
He replied I was exactly right. He checked to see how many events were scheduled in “The Pit” on this day and there were only two. Both events were scheduled to end at 2:00 PM. It was now 1:50 PM so I told him I would just begin preaching at 2:00 PM and avoid any problem.
The administrator was helpful and very honest. He also informed me today was the day before the Fall Break so many of the students had already gone home.
I began preaching in “The Pit” at 2:00 PM and soon gathered a small group that continued growing to around 100-120. It was a typical preaching day for Chapel Hill as the students sat down on the steps, listened well and asked good questions. This has always been one of my favorite universities to preach at.
The crowd size was not as big as it normally is but that is to be expected with a later start and the day before Fall Break.
I stopped preaching at 3:30 PM with a crowd of about 100-120.
I was scheduled to preach in the church where we were staying that night and we needed to leave before the traffic. That evening I preached for 50 minutes from Matthew 6:21-24 on “Having a Single Eye for God”.
Thursday October 22, 2009-University of North Carolina at Greensboro-Greensboro, North Carolina: Since UNC-Chapel Hill was on Fall Break today Brother Ross, Sister Elizabeth and I decided to drive over to Greensboro and preach at UNC-Greensboro.
BROTHER ROSS
I met Brother Ross in September of 2007, while I was preaching at East Carolina University. He had recently been saved and was trying to witness his faith and do some preaching. The preaching that week had a great influence upon Brother Ross and he is now a very effective campus preacher.
It was an hour and forty minute drive from where I was staying. We arrived on the sidewalk by the student union where we would begin preaching around 12:20 PM. I began preaching around 12:25 PM and gradually gathered a small crowd that continued to grow.
Soon a police car pulled up and the officer walked up and shook my hand and asked to see my ID. He told me I could continue preaching and the police remained on the scene for the remainder of the afternoon.
CROWD ON THE EDGE
Eventually the crowd grew to around 120-130. Up until this point they had been keeping a good distance back away from the sidewalk but I could tell they had just about heard all they could stand and were getting ready to close in.
DOES HE AGREE WITH YOU?
I had been preaching for just over one hour. I knew the crowd was curious to know if Brother Ross (who happens to be black) would agree with my preaching. They are always curious to know if my wife agrees with my preaching also. Unfortunately, in America now for many years now the majority of churches and preachers do not preach the whole truth (Acts 20:26-27). Consequently, when we begin preaching what the Bible plainly teaches it sounds so foreign to them and actually is the exact opposite of what they think the Bible teaches. This usually creates quite a stir.
I turned the crowd on the edge over to Brother Ross around 1:30 PM. Within ten minutes, the crowd had closed in all around him. During this time the crowd grew to around 150-160.
After some time the crowd size gradually began to decrease. I had some good conversations with several students around me while Brother Ross was preaching.
By around 2:25 PM the crowd size had come down quite a bit and I had a small group of students around me. Brother Ross then turned the preaching back over to me.
I returned to the preaching sidewalk spot around 2:25 PM and preached for the next 30 minutes to a crowd of 15-35. Brother Ross also had a group of similar size around him during this time.
We left the campus around 3:00 PM to make the one hour and forty minute drive back. I was scheduled to preach in a local church that evening.
That evening I preached for about one hour on “A Gospel of Power”.

Wild West Virginia University 9/20-9/24/09
Sunday September 20, 2009: Sister Elizabeth and I drove over to the Morgantown area the previous day (Saturday). We stayed in the home of the young pastor of a pioneer church just across the Pennsylvania border. We attended church services there on Sunday and preached in the Sunday evening service for about one hour from Luke 24:47-49.
GOING TO BIBLE COLLEGE
Monday September 21, 2009: It was forecast to rain today. When we woke up the weather was good. I had learned a very gifted Bible teacher who has become a friend of ours was teaching on the Pauline Epistles in a Bible college just over an hour from where we were staying. Since it was supposed to rain anyway, we drove out to the Bible school in Pennsylvania and sat in on some of the classes. Afterwards we went into town to eat and fellowship with the Bible Teacher.
We spent the rest of the day running errands on the way back from Pennsylvania as it rained.
Tuesday September 22, 2009-West Virginia University-Morgantown, West Virginia: Sister Elizabeth and I drove out over the many steep mountains to WVU and arrived around 11:40 AM. We had cash bills but not enough coins and the meters took only coins. I walked around some in the downtown area shops near the university trying to get change but to no avail. I could tell this campus was a cesspool of sin from the shops they had around the area, and the attitude and appearance of the students. I thought surely the Lord had sent us here.
We had to drive away from the campus to a gas station to get change and then come back and park.
WHERE TO PREACH?
I knew the preaching area was the Mountain Lair but I was not sure if I should preach in front of it or behind it. The front of the Mountain Lair had a street running by it. This could be noisy.
The back area looked like a great spot with much wide open space but there was hardly any foot traffic there. Also an employee was blowing off the dried leaves in the area with a noisy machine. I walked back to the front again and there was lots of foot traffic with plenty of students sitting around. My decision was made.
I began preaching in the front of the Mountain Lair with my back to the road around 12:40 PM. Within 10-15 minutes there was a crowd of about 300 students. For such a massive crowd they were keeping a good distance from me by forming a nice large circle around me, asking questions and listening fairly well. Several “sin all the time-I can’t stop sinning-I sin every day but love God with all my heart” professing “christian-ettes” kept trying to interrupt, preach over me and steal the crowd.
CROWD THIEF AND PSEUDO-cHRISTIAN
Finally, one hypocrite jumped up on a wall and began to preach his “God loves you” message. Just to spite me and see how I would respond the vast majority of the students went to where the student was. I walked across the brick area to the other side and stood on a wall and continued preaching.
WATER THIEF
After a few minutes, the crowd left the hypocrite and the student stopped preaching his one sided gospel and about 50-60 students came back to where I was preaching. I preached on the wall to this crowd of 50-60 for some time. One student kept demanding I give him a drink from my water jug. There are water fountains throughout the university and the student union has places to buy water, so why would anyone need my water. Finally I told the student I would pour the water into his mouth but I would not hand him my water jug and allow him to drink out of it.
He pulled the jug out of my hand and flung it against the wall and the water jug busted. I was able to salvage a little water from the jug. The police were on hand but did not see this incident. I informed the student he had just stolen my property and could be charged but most of the students replied they did not see anything. The student who stole the water gallon got nervous and left.
CROWD GROWS TO OVER 400
I continued preaching and the crowd seemed to get more rowdy. The crowd of 50-60 gradually grew to at least 400. The wheelchair ramp next to where I was preaching was full of students and the brick area all the way to the back was full of students.
I could see someone taking pictures and someone else asking other students questions. Several of the “sinning all the time but love Jesus with all my heart” christianettes would jump on the wall next to me and try to preach over me, refute me, and steal the attention of the crowd.
HELL IS FULL OF PEOPLE JESUS LOVED
Their message is always the same. “God Loves You”. Yes, God loves the people in hell. Jesus died for the sins of the people in hell (Matthew 23:33, 25:30, 25:41, 7:23) but they went to hell anyway because they did not love God (John 14:15, John 15:10, 1 John 5:3). They did not repent (Luke 13:3, 5, Mark 1:15, Acts 3:19, Acts 26:20) and forsake their sins so they were not forgiven (Proverbs 28:13).
Since my water jug had been taken and busted I did not have my usual water supply. I ran out of water around 2:15 PM and continued preaching to the massive rowdy crowd of 400 plus. Since, I could not keep my throat lubricated my voice began to give out some. I stopped preaching around 2:30 PM surrounded by over 400 students.
I attempted to stand around in the area and try to answer questions. The students were still very rowdy and this made answering questions difficult. I would start to answer a good question and then several students would interrupt and ask more questions. In spite of this I was able to answer a few questions.
GOOD JOB BY POLICE
The university police did an excellent job of keeping an eye on things and only interfering when necessary without trying to censure me. One student made a threat to me and the police immediately walked over to him and gave him a stern warning. I answered questions until 3:00 PM and then walked with Sister Elizabeth to our vehicle.
NEWSPAPER INTERVIEW
As we began to depart, a female student who had been asking some of the other students questions in the crowd introduced herself as a writer for the university newspaper and wanted to do an interview. I asked the writer for her contact information and called her later that afternoon.
MEETING A PASTOR
On the way to our vehicle a man came up and asked me several questions. He then introduced himself as the pastor of a local church that fellowships with some of the other churches we associate with in the area. We talked on the way to our vehicle.
That evening, I called the reporter and did the interview via phone. She seemed to be an honest reporter and was very appreciative of the interview.
Wednesday September 23, 2009-West Virginia University-Morgantown, West Virginia: With a crowd of over 400 the previous day and an article coming out in the university newspaper I was expecting very large crowds today. The weather was somewhat overcast as we drove to the campus but I did not think it would rain.
VOICE
I had been having problems with my voice since I had awakened that morning and was somewhat concerned about it. I have had times where my voice seemed bad but then had no problem preaching and other times where my voice seemed strong and then gave out when I began preaching.
FRONT PAGE NEWS
The sun began to come out as I neared the Mountain Lair free speech area. The article and pictures on the front page of the school newspaper were very good and the article was unbiased.
VOICE DIFFICULTIES
I began preaching around 12 noon and had a crowd of 300 within 10-15 minutes. Unfortunately, I was having problems with my voice right from the beginning. My voice would crack and squeak and it took much effort for me to preach. None of the students seemed to notice or say anything but I knew it. I felt so helpless.
After around 30-40 minutes of struggling with almost no voice it seemed to improve some. I had been motioning for Sister Elizabeth to please pray for me.
The entire brick area in the Mountain Lair was packed with students. The campus police came over and said I must move up by the planters so the crowd would follow me and not block the area to the student union stairs. I moved.
TOUGH DAY
The crowd was massive and rowdy. With the combination of exerting so much effort to preach with no voice, the size and noise of the crowd, all the cigarette smoke that was being blown in my face at close quarters, and the Mountain elevation I felt very tired around 1:05 PM and sat down and tried to answer questions.
The crowd remained massive and just swarmed all around me. Cigarette smoke kept being blown in my face and students were sticking posters in front of me to keep me from communicating. I changed locations several times to move away from all the hecklers, smokers, and those blocking me with hand made poster board signs. Several times I stood up and preached some and tried to answer questions. It was a very difficult day, mainly because of my voice not being up to par. The crowd was so large and rowdy it was difficult to answer many questions without everyone else interrupting.
PASTOR APPRECIATES MINISTRY
I left the area around 2:30 PM and the campus police drove us in their police car to our vehicle. That evening we attended the church of the local pastor we met on campus the day before. He gave me an opportunity to share about our open air ministry on the college campuses and gave his own first hand account of the experience.
Thursday September 24, 2009-West Virginia University-Morgantown, West Virginia: I was somewhat disappointed by the previous days experience on campus. I felt I had a tremendous opportunity to make a huge impact on the campus with the huge crowds and the newspaper coverage and when the crowds showed up I could not be as effective as I needed to be because of my voice troubles.
HELL FIRE PREACHERS NEEDED
Life goes on however and souls by the tens of thousands are headed to hell on the college campuses with no one to warn them with perhaps the exception of the campus preacher. I was scheduled to preach in a church about 4 hours away from the campus that evening on our way back to Virginia but I was going to try and preach for about one hour on campus before we headed out.
HOUR OF POWER
Once again on the way to campus the weather was overcast but cleared up nicely as we arrived on campus. I began preaching in the Mountain Lair area around noon and my voice was clear and strong. The crowds gathered and my time was limited so I came out swinging and unloading both Bible barrels.
Soon a large crowd of around 300 gathered and for some time they kept their distance and listened as I preached and answered an occasional objection to my preaching. The “sinning all the time but loving Jesus with all my heart” group of hypocrites showed up with their literature, hand made poster boards and attempted crowd stealing tactics but all to no avail.
NO EXCUSES FOR SINNING
I quickly destroyed all their excuses for sinning with the Hammer of the Word of God and Sword of the Spirit. The hecklers and hypocrites moved in then the crowd began to do the same and it was becoming somewhat disorderly, so I walked over to a cement ledge, faced the crowd and continued preaching.
SPIRIT OF THE LORD AT WORK
My moving to this cement ledge around 12:40 PM seemed to bring some order to the crowd. They moved in to listen and ask questions but thankfully they kept a 5-10 yard distance from me. In spite of my voice difficulties the previous day, I could tell the Spirit of the Lord was using the preaching to bring about conviction as the students were much more sober acting and civil than the previous days even though the crowd was still in the 200-300 range.
I answered questions and preached from 12:40 PM to around 1:05 PM to the large but more civil crowd. I noticed a man from the city newspaper taking pictures, asking students questions and writing down quotes as I was preaching. Around 1:05 PM an officer came up to me and asked me to move to where I was the previous day because the crowd size was so large people could not walk through the Mountain Lair.
I told the officer I was going to call it a day. I told the crowd how much I had enjoyed being there and I would try to return next semester. The police once again escorted Elizabeth and me to our vehicle in a police car.
That evening I preached in a church for about one hour on “A Gospel of Power”.

Friday September 18, 2009-George Mason University-Fairfax, Virginia: I decided to head back to GMU today, since I was unable to preach at University of Maryland because of the rain and President Obama’s appearance on campus the previous day, and the free speech area already reserved by other groups on this day.
It was a very overcast morning as Sister Elizabeth and I drove to campus but it was not raining. This campus is noticeably slower on Fridays with fewer cars in the parking lot and less students walking around.
As we left the parking garage and were heading towards the free speech area a student spotted us and took off running to tell other students we were there.
I began preaching in the free speech spot at noon. Gradually a crowd began to form that grew to around 50-70 for most of the meeting. The students are now much more tame and civil due to the previous week of preaching. For the most part they kept a distance, asked good questions and listened fairly well.
The sky cleared up, the sun came out and it ended up being a nice day. At one point a student kept riding around me on a bicycle and interrupting me with a bullhorn but eventually left.
After about an hour I moved onto the stairs and faced the group of 30-50. I preached and answered questions until around 1:30 PM. At that point most of the crowd had left and around 10-20 students remained.
From 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, I taught and answered questions of the students who remained. Most of this time seemed to be very fruitful as the students were attentive and sincere. I seemed to have made friends with one atheist student who kept coming each day to listen and ask questions. He was very reasonable and civil each day.
We left the campus around 2:30 PM.

Wednesday September 16, 2009-University of Maryland-College Park, Maryland: Sister Elizabeth and I packed up the truck to make the drive over to University of Maryland. I was planning on preaching here for a few days and we were going to try to stay overnight near the University if possible.
It was very overcast all morning and the forecast said it was supposed to rain. It took about two hours of driving with a little bit of traffic to arrive on the University around noon. By the time we parked and began heading to the student union it was around 12:30 PM and still overcast.
I had heard from others who had preached here in the past that this university requires you to sign in before preaching then you are allowed to preach the same day. The lady I signed up with was very helpful and nice. She informed me I would not be able to use the area on Friday (September 18) as it was already reserved the entire day by other groups.
WHAT’S OBAMA GOT TO DO WITH IT?
I had also heard President Obama was supposed to make an appearance and a speech at this school on Thursday (September 17). I was asked in the office if I was here because President Obama was coming. I told them I was here to preach the Bible and not talk about Obama although his name comes up from time to time as well as many other issues during a day of Bible preaching on an American University Campuses.
I asked why that mattered. I was then told if I was there because of Obama then I needed police clearance to speak. By the time I got my permit for Wednesday and Thursday (September 16-17) and found the free speech amphitheater it was around 1:25 PM.
By now the weather had cleared up some and around 15-25 students were already sitting around the amphitheater area. I put on my sandwich board and began preaching around 1:30 PM.
The crowd grew fairly quickly and steadily to around 175-225 and remained that way all afternoon long. I thoroughly enjoyed my time of preaching here as for the most part the crowd sat in the amphitheater area, asked good questions and seemed to listen fairly well to my answers although as a whole they did not like the answers.
ROWDY CROWD MORE PLAYFUL THAN MEAN
The crowd became fairly rowdy at times and I had lots of hecklers but through all of this the crowd remained somewhat civil. Many of the hecklers were somewhat reasonable and the rowdy crowd was more on the playful side than the mean side.
The crowd had a good number of atheists, homosexuals, professing “christianettes” hypocrites who claim to love God but sin all the time also, feminists, communists, as well as the usual drunkards, fornicators, and pot smokers found on the college campuses of America. As usual all these united against the Bible preacher and each had their own questions and objections that were shot down by the Sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6:17) and the Hammer of Truth (Jeremiah 23:29).
I preached until around 3:30 PM and stopped with a crowd of around 200 or more. I then walked over and took a seat as many in the crowd left but many also came and crowded around me to ask questions.
MAN’S IDEAS CARRY MORE WEIGHT THAN BIBLE
Although most did not like my answers most of the students seemed to at least be somewhat reasonable and listen. All of their excuses to keep living in sin and all of their objections to not submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ were thoroughly refuted by the Bible. Unfortunately, here as most other places most students have been so indoctrinated by unbiblical ideas such as “you will always be a sinner even though you are saved”, “you can’t stop sinning it is impossible”, “God always forgives as long as you just confess Jesus as your Savior”, etc. that no matter how many scriptures you give them to show them they are believing a lie many still trust in their man made idea instead of the truth of the Bible (Mark 7:13).
DEBATE WITH RELIGIOUS LEADER
One student really wanted to set up a debate between myself and someone who was a supposed religious leader (such as a pastor, priest, rabbi, etc) and wanted to know when I was returning. I told him I was returning tomorrow. He told me I should not return tomorrow because it was supposed to rain all day and President Barack Obama was going to be on campus for most of the day. The traffic would be jammed for hours before President Obama’s appearance.
As I prepared to depart around 4:15 PM, a black male student who I noticed listening intently in the crowd during the day told the remaining listeners that what I was telling them was true and I was right. This seemed to drive the conviction deeper into the hearts of the students as no one seemed to try to oppose him.
Sister Elizabeth and I hurried back to where we parked as our parking permit would expire around 4:25 PM.
I had not previously considered the traffic situation on the way to the university the following day. With the USA President making an appearance in the D.C. area traffic was sure to be very slow. I had found no place to spend the night in the area and it was supposed to rain the next day anyway. With all this in mind Sister Elizabeth and made the almost two hour drive back to where we were lodging. We plan on preaching here again in the near future.

This student contacted me after preaching at George Mason. He is of a Calvinistic background but seems to see the value and effect of open air preaching:
Well I first saw you on campus, I believe last Monday, the 7th, or maybe that following Wednesday. Not sure which. Anyway I first saw a huge circle and heard someone talking very loudly so went to see what was up. I saw you preaching, and honestly I first suspected you were some Catholic loon or just some guy saying the "end was near" with no scriptural reference at all. The more I listened, however, the more I realized that you were correct in just about everything you were saying, and you were just revealing to the students the hard truth. That first day, I actually lost track of time and missed an entire class. I was incredibly intrigued by you, partly because of humor and partly because of people's reactions to fundamental truth. I eventually had to leave, and found that by that point the crowd was circulating to the point where you were basically repeating the same points. I also found it fascinating that so many kids wanted you to leave, yet the crowds remained so large and remained throughout the time you preached. One black kid just followed you, grabbing his genitals and spewing hate and intolerance, and babbling incoherent nonsense. There were more than a few kids who were listening respectfully and intently, by the way.
I saw you again on Friday. I actually found myself making my way up to the plaza whenever I could to see if you were there. The crowd seemed much smaller Friday . I was only there for a few minutes, but saw a lesbian who quite frankly seemed full of the spirit of Satan. She was screaming and snarling at you and saying just vile things. If people hate you that much, they really should just go away. They act as if you are forcing them to obey you or something. To just sit there and treat like you're a dog and make noises is thumbing a nose at our First Amendment.
Lastly I saw you yesterday. The crowd seemed a lot better, from what I could tell. Again, I couldn't stay long, and was hoping you would be there when I got out of my final class. The Lord's blessing was there, and I was happy to get to speak with you before you left campus. I really wanted this opportunity, just because I was fascinated by somebody who would prop themselves up to such levels of hatred and attack day in and day out. From what I could tell, you were a decent man, preaching the gospel where it needs preaching most. I didn't agree with you on everything, which I can go into more detail if you like. But the overall message was excellent and highly biblical. When the kids say that nobody cares and nobody wants you there, it is simply nonsense because so many people are there listening to you, whether they agree with you or not. I don't get how hard it is to realize and respect that you devote your life to HELP them, not to **** them to hell but to warn them of it. I only confirmed what I thought and then some after speaking with you. You actually seemed much more "down to earth" than when you were preaching. You seemed like a normal person who was trying to help, even more so then when you were preaching. At times, not to offend you, but you seemed almost like you were from another planet when you were preaching. I don't know if it was the way you dress or react to people or whatever. But I can't help but admire that you would devote your life to doing this. Frankly, I was embarrassed by some of the people on our campus that were doing such vile things towards you. There is no doubt that even where I disagree with you, and even where it seems as if nobody there cares, you certainly get people thinking about things that some people have never thought about before, and you are a force for good in this world. God bless you.

Tuesday September 8, 2009: It was raining today when we woke up and was still raining as we headed to campus. We took care of some business around town and gave the weather some time to clear up. We began driving toward the campus but it began to rain. It was an hour drive to the campus, the visitor parking is costly and we did not want to get rained out. We decided to wait until tomorrow.
That evening I preached in a church for about 50 minutes from the text Luke 24:47-49.
Wednesday September 9, 2009-George Mason University-Fairfax, Virginia: Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on campus just before noon. Last year, when I preached here I was never able to use the free speech area since it was taken up each day with other events going on.
CROWDED BY THE CROWD
Thankfully, the area was available today and I began preaching around 12:10 PM. I soon gathered a large crowd of around 150-200 people. I was able to preach for about 20-30 minutes but then the large crowd began to move in around me.
I moved around and tried to keep a distance from the crowd for a few minutes but as they continued to try to crowd me in I moved over to where the steps were and stood on the steps and faced the large rowdy crowd of 150-250. The campus police showed up and stayed around the rest of the afternoon.
I preached for some time and it seemed they settled down and listened well for some time but soon became rowdy again. I had many hecklers all day long who would move in close to me, blow cigarette smoke in my face, make accusations, profaned the Holy Name of the Lord, threaten and yell at me.
ANGRY MOB DEMANDS I LEAVE
At one point the crowd seemed to dwindle down to around 40-50 but soon it grew right back up to around 200-300. I had some good times of preaching where the crowd seemed to listen fairly well but at other times they were very hostile. The students continued to crowd in around me, blow cigarette smoke in my face and scream at me to leave the campus.
At one point, I moved off the stairs and walked around while continuing to preach. The mob followed me around and crowded me. One young man followed me around screaming at me to leave the campus while making threats at me because I was “hateful”. The average college student has been so brainwashed that if a person opposes lifestyles (or should we say death styles) the Bible declares sinful then it is considered “hate”.
This same student told me later in the afternoon that he did not hate anything (even though he followed me all over the free speech area hollering at me, making threats and telling me to leave). I guess his opposing my lifestyle is not hateful even though my opposing sinful lifestyles is hateful.
CAMPUS POLICE HELPFUL
Throughout the afternoon, there were several police officers on hand and at times they would intervene and make the more rowdy students give me some space. While the mob crowded in on me as I kept moving around and preaching the officers intervened and told the crowd to give me some space.
I returned to the steps, faced the mob of 250-300 and continued preaching. I preached a while but soon the crowd became irate again and began screaming for me to “Leave the campus we don’t want you here!” (Matthew 8:34)
Around 2:55 PM, I announced my future visit to the campus (I did not tell them which day) and came down from the stairs. Much of the crowd dispersed but many tried to follow me. I walked over to a bench and sat down and a group of about 20 students gathered around to ask questions.
I sat and answered the students’ questions for about 30 minutes. The crowd grew to around 35-50. I became stirred again (Acts 17:16) and so I stood on the bench and preached for about 10 minutes.
Around 3:40 PM I decided to call it a day. Sister Elizabeth and I were escorted to our vehicle by a plain-clothes police officer.
Thursday September 10, 2009-George Mason University-Fairfax, Virginia: It was somewhat overcast as Sister Elizabeth and I drove to campus but the weather cleared up in the afternoon and it ended up being a beautiful day. We arrived around noon and I began preaching in the free speech area around 12:15 PM.
I soon gathered a crowd of 30-40 and they tried to move in close to me but I kept moving and kept them at a distance. As far as the preaching and the questions went it was going very well. I was getting some good questions and most of the students were attentive.
The crowd grew slightly larger and soon it was necessary to move to the stairs and face the crowd of about 40-60. It stayed this size for some time but soon it grew to around 200-300. At times the crowd seemed larger than the previous day.
LARGE ROWDY CROWD
I was able to preach effectively and control the crowd until around 1:40 PM. At this point the crowd became much convicted, the hecklers seemed to come out of the woodwork the students became more angry and rowdy. Several students kept moving in around me, blowing cigarette smoke in my face, cursing and screaming in my face.
I moved to the other side of the stairs and tried to continue but soon the situation was the same. My wife and I were surprised at how poor the behavior of the crowd was even with police presence on hand each day. Usually, the police presence helps the crowd behavior.
NO SMALL STIR
I asked the police if it was ok to stand on a planter above the stairs to elevate myself above the mob. The police had been very helpful and professional but they told me not to for safety reasons. Soon a student stood there and kept screaming at me. With a rowdy crowd of 300 or more and now a student standing above me screaming at me it was very difficult to do much preaching. Each time I tried to preach the crowd would begin chanting or they all would throw questions at me at the same time and demand I answer them yet give me no opportunity to reply.
I asked an officer if it was okay for me to stand on top of a cement ledge on the edge of the free speech area. She replied it would be okay. As I walked out of the crowd, the students all began cheering because they thought I was leaving. I walked down and stood on the cement ledge, faced the crowd and began to try to preach.
VERY DIFFICULT CROWD
The mob came around me and I continued to try to preach as best as possible. This location kept me elevated over the mob but with many students screaming, making accusations, asking questions simultaneously it was difficult to do much with them. At one point, I was able to get them settled down enough to read the story of Richard, Jane and Sally and this went fairly well. Most of the large crowd sat down but it was still difficult to get through it.
I hardly remember dealing with a more difficult crowd than this one. Around 3:00 PM, I decided to just sit down on the cement ledge and talk to students. I sat and answered the students’ questions until 4:00 PM and then left the campus for the day.
Friday September 11, 2009-George Mason University-Fairfax, Virginia: The weather today was very overcast and it was raining as Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on campus.
There were much less cars in the parking garage than other days indicating less classes going on today. I arrived in the free speech spot and began preaching around 12:15 PM.
I immediately had several hecklers and the crowd quickly grew to a fairly rowdy 75-100. The rain began to come down but it made no difference. In fact, it seemed the crowd grew larger during the rain.
VOICE TROUBLE
My voice was not in good shape today as it kept breaking up and cracking while I was preaching. It was just one of those days where my voice had not fully recovered from the previous day’s exertion. This certainly made the preaching more difficult but none of the students seemed to notice.
Since the students kept crowding me in, I moved to the cement ledge of the previous day. The crowd of 75-110 moved in around me but soon settled down. For some time it went very well as the crowd was civil and listened well. Soon the campus police officers arrived.
Around 1:30 PM the crowd began to become rowdy and less attentive. I believe they can only take so much Bible truth before it begins to convict them and usually they resist the conviction by acting up.
I preached until 2:00 PM and then announced I planned to return Monday. On stepping off the cement ledge and walking away many students followed me and surrounded me wanting to ask more questions. Sister Elizabeth and I stopped about 50 yards away from the preaching spot and answered their questions until around 2:30 PM. This seemed to be an effective time of teaching.
I agreed to do an interview with a student for a class on Monday.
Monday September 14, 2009-George Mason University-Fairfax, Virginia: Weather was sunny and somewhat hot. Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on campus and I was in the free speech area around 12:05 PM.
INTERVIEW
I told the journalism student on Friday I was going to arrive around noon and I think they thought I was going to do the interview with them at noon. Since they were waiting for me and thought I was going to do the interview with them at noon we did the interview then. I would much rather have begun preaching around noon because it is usually the best time for foot traffic and easier to grab the attention of the students and get a crowd.
We did an interview that lasted around 20-25 minutes inside the student union and I then headed over to the free speech area to begin preaching.
IN THE NEWS
The weekly newspaper at this school comes out on Monday and there was a picture of myself preaching along with an opinion article about the preaching written by a professed homosexual. On the same page there was another article written by another homosexual titled “What Freedom Means to Me” and the whole theme was linked to the writer’s “coming out” or confession of homosexuality.
I began preaching in the free speech area where it is made of concrete with shade surrounding the outskirts and sunny weather in the mid 80’s. A few students were sitting and waiting and soon a few more came to stand or sit and listen but did not say much.
EFFECTIVENESS OF PREACHING
A few hecklers showed up here and there after some time and soon a nice large circle of around 150-200 gathered all around me. The crowd was much more civil and attentive than the previous week. This is evidence the preaching is having an impact as the students begin to contemplate what is preached after we leave and take it more seriously.
I was able to preach and answer questions effectively for some time as the large crowd of 150-200 kept their distance asked many good questions and listened well.
ATHEIST HOMOSEXUAL WITH BULLHORN
The police were once again on hand but soon a professed atheist homosexual showed up with a bullhorn. Most students on college campuses believe homosexuals are born that way but the Bible is clear that homosexuality comes in after someone has made a decision to reject the true knowledge of God (Romans 1:18-28). It is a downward spiral like the Bible teaches and not anything anyone is born with.
This atheist homosexual began to ask me question after question using the bullhorn without ever giving me a chance to answer. While he began to do this much of the crowd began to disperse. The police on this campus have always been so professional in the past and have never let anyone use amplified sound without a permit.
I walked over to the police and told them someone was using a bullhorn without a permit. They replied it was acceptable because they could not hear it, no one was complaining, and they were students. I asked if it was acceptable for me to use my bullhorn. They said I was not a student.
I went back and continued to try to preach but the atheist homosexual had raised the volume on his bullhorn and kept firing questions and accusations at me without giving me any chance to respond. The once civil, large crowd continued to dwindle down. I thought the officer was not being honest about not being able to hear the bullhorn before but now it was obviously much louder.
After they gave me the same reply, I asked to speak to their supervisor. I told them in all the other times I have preached on the GMU campus this was never allowed. They said, I could call their supervisor and gave me his phone number.
I walked over to my wife and gave her the phone number to call while I proceeded with the open-air meeting. I then walked back to the free speech area, stood on the stairs and began preaching as best I could over the homosexual atheist using the bullhorn.
OFFICERS SHUT DOWN BULLHORN
The crowd was now dwindled to around 20-25 but began to build back up gradually. I saw the officers in the background making phone calls. Soon I saw them come over and make the atheist homosexual turn off his bullhorn. Praise the Lord!
GREAT TIME OF PREACHING
At this point the meeting really began to take off again. The crowd grew to around 150-200 as the students kept their distance and asked many good questions and listened well. Many of the students were sitting on the hot concrete area in the sun. I continued preaching until around 3:00 PM and then announced I would be moving to the cement ledge to answer questions.
CROWD STEALER
I walked over to the cement ledge and much of the crowd followed. I sat down and answered questions. One professing Christian male student jumped on the ledge after some time and began trying to preach to the crowd. In our discussion he kept admitting we needed to repent of our sins but yet we could not stop sinning. He also kept insisting God has to call us first. I agreed with him on that but did not understand why the adamant insistence. He also said we could not resist the Holy Ghost but I quoted him and the crowd Acts 7:51, Ephesians 4:30, 1 Thessalonians 5:19.
After he kept contradicting himself and could not defend his points he became frustrated and jumped on the ledge and tried to steal the crowd. I walked over to the other nearby cement ledge knowing soon the crowd would follow me.
For a few minutes the crowd cheered as I left and acted as if they were listening to him just to spite me but I ignored them and several students followed me to ask questions. The group of students listening to him swiftly dispersed but mine quickly returned to its former size.
GOD DOES NOT SEND HIS CHILDREN TO HELL
One student asked me if I had any children and would I ever burn them forever to punish them. I pointed out to him that God sends sinners to hell, not his children and sinners are not God’s children (Matthew 25:41, John 1:12, John 8:44, John 9:31, Romans 8:14, 1 Peter 4:18, 1 John 3:8). One point that needs to be continually addressed on campus is that all people are God’s creation but not all His children.
It was a great time of discussion and answering questions although many did not like the answers. I could see several though who agreed with me nodding in approval at my answers.
I left this area and tried to leave around 4:30 PM. I walked over to Sister Elizabeth who was surrounded by a group of students asking questions. She was engrossed in the discussion. At this point two young men with sincere questions who were very open came to ask me some questions. We sat down and were soon joined by several others.
Sister Elizabeth and I departed from the campus around 5:30 PM.

Monday August 31, 2009-James Madison University-Harrisonburg, Virginia: Today was a sunny day but much cooler than the previous week with the temperature in the 70’s. We arrived on campus around 1:30 PM since our permit began at 2:00 PM.
FRONT PAGE NEWS
There was a front page picture of myself preaching to the students and a protestor in the school newspaper. I began preaching around 1:50 PM and soon gathered a crowd that continued to grow to over 100. For the next two and a half hours I preached to crowds from 30-130. As usual they were rowdy at times but other times listened well.
I stopped preaching around 4:25 PM and sat down on the cement cylinder I was preaching on. From 4:25 PM until after 5:00 PM I sat and answered the students questions and taught the Bible to groups of 15-35.
Tuesday September 1, 2009-James Madison University-Harrisonburg, Virginia: Today was another cooler (70’s), clear sunny day. Today my permit was scheduled for noon so we arrived on campus around 11:30 AM and began preaching around 11:50 AM.
FREE SPEECH VS MUSIC
After preaching a few minutes someone began to blast loud music from across the commons. The music was too loud to try to preach over so I walked over to the person playing the music. She turned the music down much lower but said the music was allowed to be played until 2:00 PM by the campus groups who had tables around the area. Since I had a permit for free speech in the same area I did not think it was right for another group to be allowed to play music in the free speech area I had reserved.
I went back and tried to preach over the music that had been turned down but soon a sorority girl from one of the tables walked over and began blasting the music again, after the employee of the school told me the music would not be turned up any louder.
I then went to the office to speak to the people in charge of the free speech area. They told me the groups were allowed to play music each day from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. The people in the Events office had been very fair to me so I decided to just wait until after 1:00 PM to begin preaching.
SPIRIT OF GOD DEALING WITH STUDENT
I went and sat down in a shaded area while the ungodly music blasted. I was hoping some students would come around to talk to me about the preaching. After about 30 minutes a young man came and sat down with me and began to discuss the subject of Christianity. I found him to be very open and reasonable. He listened to everything I said and wrote down scripture references. As he listened and agreed with everything I told him. Since he was so open and the conversation was going very well I continued talking with him after the music was turned off at 1:00 PM.
I began preaching around 1:30 PM and preached until 3:55 PM to groups of 20-75. Most of the time the students listened well and asked good questions but at times were rowdy and unreasonable.
Sister Elizabeth and I left the campus just after 4:00 PM in order to run some errands and attend church services where we were staying.
Wednesday September 2, 2009-James Madison University-Harrisonburg, Virginia: It was another clear sunny day in the 70’s. My permit was to begin at noon but I decided not to show up until 1:00 PM since I was told the music would be playing again today during the noon hour.
When I arrived there was a group playing music so I went and told those in charge. The man in charge came out and told them to turn the music off and I began preaching around 1:20 PM.
BEST DAY OF PREACHING
I immediately drew a crowd that grew to around 90-100. This may have been the best day of preaching as the crowds listened well and asked good questions much of the time. Near the end of the preaching the crowd became angry and rowdy so I just stood and did not say anything.
I sat down at 3:00 PM and ignored the crowd for a few minutes and most of the troublemakers began to leave or begin to act more civil. I then sat and answered questions, taught the Bible and refuted arguments for the next hour and 15 minutes. I had around 50-60 students crowded around me.
Around 4:15 PM I left the group crowded around me. Sister Elizabeth and I stayed in the area and talked to and answered questions of small groups of students (1-5) until almost 5:00 PM and then left the campus.
Thankfully before we left Brother T who attends the local church we visited last year and this week showed up. I gave him the contact information of the student, B. I had the conversation with on Tuesday who was so open and receptive.

Josef is a Calvinist now?
I thought he and Patrick used to be Finneyites.

White male Christian fundamentalists are often stereotyped as being hillbillies.
This is ok though since it is done against white males.

Monday August 24, 2009-James Madison University-Harrisonburg, Virginia: This is the same campus we began preaching at last year at this time. One reason we chose this school again is because most of the schools in this area do not begin until the following week (August 31).
BANNING THE PREACHERS
There was some talk from the students last year about signing a petition to have us banned. Sometimes this is just talk but sometimes the students can have an influence with the administration and cause them to back down and make unconstitutional practices.
I was not planning on preaching today since it was the first day of class and thought I remembered their policy required 24-hour notice. I also remembered this school had many activities planned early in the afternoon the first few weeks of the semester. Due to the talk from last year, I was somewhat concerned JMU would attempt to keep us from preaching.
It was a hot (mid to high 80’s) clear sunny day. We walked to the office where we sign up and arrived around 12:15 PM. Signing up was no problem. The same lady who I dealt with last year was still there and she was very honest and fair. One disadvantage I had again this year that I had last year was most of the seven days I reserved I would not be able to begin preaching until around 2:00 PM due to activities going on. We prefer to begin preaching around noon since that is usually when there is the most activity.
CHRISTIAN ROCK CONCERT AND POPSICLES FOR JESUS
After signing up Sister Elizabeth and I walked to the free speech area and sure enough there was a loud “Christian Rock Concert” going on with many students in a campus ministry group handing out “popsicles for Jesus”.
As we were walking back to our vehicle around 1:00 PM a couple from the church where we were staying drove by and offered to give us a ride. They had come out to listen and support the preaching. They invited us to lunch.
LONG INTERVIEW
After lunch I had previously scheduled an interview with a young man. He asked me questions for about 3 hours.
Tuesday August 26, 2009-James Madison University-Harrisonburg, Virginia: Sister Elizabeth and I arrived in the free speech area around 1:35 PM. It was another hot (mid to high 80’s) sunny day.
HARSHLY REBUKED FOR PREACHING TOO HARSH
It appeared there was some campus ministry group handing out materials when we arrived. They began packing up as soon as we showed up. I remembered this group from last year as their leader looked familiar. He came up and harshly rebuked me because he thought my preaching contained too much harsh rebuking of sin.
I began preaching on top of the cylinder cement block next to the table I was assigned around 1:45 PM. Students took free Bibles and tracts from our table. Unfortunately, there is no shade at all in this free speech area and concrete everywhere.
GOOD FIRST DAY OF PREACHING
Soon I gathered a small group of 15-20. I preached throughout the afternoon to groups ranging from 15-75. At times the crowd seemed to listen well. Other times I had hecklers jumping on the cylinder block and table next to me.
All in all it was a very good first day with some good times of preaching and interaction. I preached until around 4:25 PM and then sat down on the cylinder block I was standing on to talk to the remaining group of 10-20 students.
We had a very good discussion for about 30 minutes and then a student who professed to be a Christian jumped in the middle of me and the students and began preaching about how God is love and He accepts us no matter what we do as long as we confess him as Lord, etc.
LET’S JUST HAVE A DISCUSSION
I stood on the cylinder and rebuked him and began preaching and refuting his lies (Luke 13:3, 5, Luke 6:46, Matthew 7:21, Hebrews 5:9). Then the student who tried to steal the crowd wanted to know why I had to yell and why couldn’t we just have a discussion. I pointed out to him we were having a discussion until he came up and began yelling.
It was now about 5:10 PM and my permit expired at 5:00 PM. No one was forcing me to leave and I do not think it would have been a problem to stay but we needed to leave to get back for church services where we were staying.
VOICE REMAINED STRONG
I was so thankful for the way my voice held up. I had not done much outdoor preaching over the summer but my voice held up strong after preaching almost three hours. It never went hoarse or weak.
One student who had been asking sincere questions later in the day walked with us most of the way to our vehicle. He seemed to be a sincere seeker of truth but because of traditional so called “Christian” teachings that are unbiblical he had a hard time grasping them.
AFRICAN STUDENT SUPPORTS PREACHING
Sister Elizabeth had a great discussion with a student from Africa who greatly appreciated, supported and agreed with our preaching. She kept making comments about how different the “Christians” were here from in Africa. She is shocked at how the students claim to be “saved” and go around sinning all the time.
Wednesday August 26, 2009: I had permission to use the free speech area today from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM but chose not to use the time. Preaching at 3:00 PM is fairly late to start and two hours is not much time. Elizabeth and I were both still lagging from the long drive up and scheduled to preach in a local church that night.
I preached for one hour that evening in a local church on “A Gospel of Power”.
Thursday August 27, 2009-James Madison University-Harrisonburg, Virginia: It was another clear, hot (mid to high 80’s), sunny day. I was scheduled to begin preaching at 2:00 PM but I wanted to try to arrive in the free speech area around 1:30 PM in case the area was already available.
Sister Elizabeth and I were delayed as we obtained a parking permit so I ended up arriving in the free speech area right around 2:00 PM.
THOU SHALT NOT STEAL
I began preaching at 2:00 PM and soon gathered a crowd of 25-30. For the next two hours the crowd fluctuated from 15-75. Early on a female student stole my water jug and poured it out. She professed to be a Christian while inhaling a cigarette, using profanity and being dressed immodestly.
At times the crowd was rowdy and playful and other times seemed to listen well. I stopped preaching around 4:00 PM and sat down on the cement cylinder I was preaching on next to my reserved table. I sat and taught and answered questions for the next 40 minutes. During this time the crowd grew some and so I stood up and began preaching again.
LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR
Around 4:50 PM a so called Christian group began blasting loud live music and talking to the students. Their permit was not until 5:00 PM and I did not appreciate their interrupting my preaching during my allotted time. After I finished preaching, I expressed to the group my lack of appreciation for their unethical behavior and especially since this group talk so much of “loving your neighbor”.
Sister Elizabeth and I continued answering the questions of the students until around 5:00 PM. One female student who professed to be a Christian had been asking many good questions and listened attentively stuck around after the preaching to ask more questions. Sister Elizabeth and I left the campus around 5:20 PM to attend church services where we were staying.
Friday August 28, 2009-James Madison University-Harrisonburg, Virginia: Sister Elizabeth and I arrived on campus around 11:30 AM. My permit today began at noon. It was somewhat overcast so it was not as hot as the other days.
WILD DAY
I began preaching on the cement cylinder around 11:45 AM. I soon gathered a small crowd that continued to grow to over 100. As I continued preaching the crowd continued growing to around 150-170. The crowd was rowdy but listened well at times.
After about one hour it began to rain fairly hard. I put on a raincoat and continued preaching but almost the whole crowd left except for about 10-15 students.
Soon the rain stopped and the crowd continued to grow again and continued growing back up to around 150-170. Much of the time the crowd listened well even though they were rowdy. My raincoat was stolen and so was my new preaching Bible. Thankfully a student found my Bible and returned it. Around 2:15 PM it began to rain again but the crowd stayed this time.
GET OFF OUR CAMPUS!
As the rain continued to pour, the crowd became angry. I stopped trying to preach and just stood my ground with my umbrella in hand. Several students were standing next to me screaming in my ear and making all kinds of false accusations and the crowd was hollering for me to leave their campus. It was too loud and the students were too rowdy to try to preach to.
As the rain continued to fall and I continued to just stand and not respond some of the crowd began to leave. Around 2:30 PM I announced I would return on Monday and stepped down from the cylinder block I was preaching from. I walked over to Sister Elizabeth who was surrounded by about 25-30 students asking her all kinds of questions.
COOLING THINGS DOWN
This gave the crowd some time to cool off and get rid of some of the students who were making trouble. After a few minutes I walked back over to the cylinder and sat down to teach, discuss and answer questions from the students.
For the next two hours Sister Elizabeth and I were surrounded by small groups of 10-25 students asking questions. We were able to teach and answer their questions effectively.
We met a male student, Brother T. who attends one of the churches in the area where I preached last year. He seemed supportive of the preaching and helped some in witnessing to the students.
It was almost 5:00 PM when we left the campus.
HATE CRIMES
Many people believe we are no longer allowed to speak out against the sin of homosexuality but each day I preached no different than I ever have as this subject comes up often while preaching on campuses.
To my knowledge the hate crime bill has not even passed yet and if it does it does not mean we can no longer speak out against homosexuality.
Do not back down and keep preaching strong against all sin.
