Jesus, stated He was. John 14:6
But, they won't accept that of course. So you must get to the foundation of their unbelief toward God.
God is the source of all knowledge, in Jesus is the treasure of all wisdom. Col 2
Without God, there is no reason, logic, emotion, justice, mercy, purpose, etc. So how should we go about showing them the delusion they are living under?
Pre suppositional apologetics is a great tool to help in this area. I am still reading a book called, "Always Ready" . A compilation of Dr. Greg Bahnsen's work. I encourage you to check it out.

I am going to wade in from the kiddie pool and ask some things.
1. Is it possible that God existed in eternity, a form of divine time, without the solar measurment of time?
2. Why does Rev 14:11 use yom time measurements for eternal torments?
And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”
Gr. Hemara - day
1) the day, used of the natural day, or the interval between sunrise and sunset, as distinguished from and contrasted with the night
a) in the daytime
b) metaph., "the day" is regarded as the time for abstaining from indulgence, vice, crime, because acts of the sort are perpetrated at night and in darkness
2) of the civil day, or the space of twenty four hours (thus including the night)
a) Eastern usage of this term differs from our western usage. Any part of a day is counted as a whole day, hence the expression "three days and three nights" does not mean literally three whole days, but at least one whole day plus part of two other days.
3) of the last day of this present age, the day Christ will return from heaven, raise the dead, hold the final judgment, and perfect his kingdom
4) used of time in general, i.e. the days of his life.
I won't list the Gr. for night.
Thanks for your time.

The, many to unrighteousness, is what should sadden us as Christians who have the love of Christ in us. It is this very reason we go and proclaim the Gospel so that none should perish. It is sad when people reject the Gospel of Jesus Christ. At least we all agree that there is only one way to overcome and that is through our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Praise God for that, because there is no debate or uncertainty in that. Ken, I don't believe Joe or I have that heart that we are Amening the most to destruction. He was Amening the fact that we agree with the Savior that MOST are on a wide road to destruction and on the day of resurrection that will be fulfilled. And it does sadden us by the way for now. My earthly father, mother, 2 sisters, oldest daughter, all my cousins, and most of my former friends are on that wide road. But, my only allegience is to Jesus Christ, I love Him supremely over any other person. He is the Lord, His will is they come and recieve His mercy. They have not, they are carnal minds at war with God. I pray they come, but on Judgment Day, I will say Amen Lord. On that day they will know Jesus loved them and they hated Him without a cause. Likewise they will know I loved them and they hated me likewise.

Poor kids. Man that makes you one step lower than the Westburo Baptist Church. Congratulations. Stop being so judgmental Dave, they were born hell fire preachers can't you see that? I am sure it is in their DNA, kind of like you except you are on the other end with Joel O and his crowd of soft boy sissy preachers. Repent sinner! Great job Brother Brian, keep up the good work of discipling your children in the way they should go. You are getting really good at laying out those signs and constructing the holders. Maybe God is raising up the east coast banner guy!

You encourage kids to skip their classes? No wonder you didn't go to college Jesse. Fallacious point, did you go to college? I have two degrees and am working on my third a doctoral degree, a Phd. I have been studying for twelve years to become a Preacher of Hellfire and Damnation. Better they get godly wisdom, vice the worldly wisdom that will influence them to live for their sin, the world, and the devil!

If we say to our wives that she looks good in the dress when we are of the opinion that she does not we are by definition of a lie, telling a lie. We are saying what is not truthful to our own opinion. Now are we doing that out of love for our wife of fear of her response to the truth. So at that point it is just easier to lie than to face the results of telling the truth to her. I once had a guy argue that if he dropped something on his toe and cursed God that it was not a sin because that was not his intent and it was just a reaction. My response to him was that your reflex action or words that come naturally ,come from what is within your heart. "For it is not what goes into the mouth that defiles but what comes out, because what comes out originates from within" So a lie even with the best intent is still a lie. So if we lie with the intent to avoid the result of telling the truth, it is not so much out of love for our wife but maybe fear of her reaction, then we are using that to justify a sin that is the easiest way out of a situation for us. First of all, if a wife is asking this question is it a vain question? Secondly, when my wife has asked that in the past, I would tell her very gently, " No matter how you ever look, I love you. Your body is just the tent you are in right now. I love the person that is inside that body. I have found over the years she does not ask this question anymore. I have assured her that as she grows older my love is not based on how she appears, fat, skinny, inbetween, smooth or wrinkled, young or old, brunette or grey... I love her, it is a committal of my will to persevere to the end of my life with her. It is a committment of love and service to her and more importantly to God. This is a great discussion. We are not to resist an evil man. If we lie for ourselves, families or friends what we have done is put thier lives above the commandments of God. Yes, Rahab lied but should she have? She was saved obviously, the hall of faith testifies to that. But what are the ramifications of Rahab or the one trying to preserve the Jews in WWII by telling the truth? They would have been tortured or killed by refusing to tell the whereabouts of the spies or refugees. Then the sin would have not been thier's but the governments. The Bible tells us, "Don't resist, but we should pray or flee or both. But, it never tells us it is okay to lie.

Thanks for taking the time to answer. It seems to me that sometimes we take things the bible says about blessings and cursings wrong. We love to talk about being blessed, but ignore the possibility that we can receive rebuking from God. Maybe some of what is in view here is not the salvation, or born again status of a person, but blessing and cursing of one that has been saved. Also there is the possibility that some of these things refer to assurance - the natural branches were cut off, and you could be also, if you are a part of the church but not truly regenerate, of which your sin could be a pretty good indication, and your general lack thereof, assurance of your salvation - as is how I understand the verses in Romans and also in Corinthians/Genesis and the golden calf. But if you have been given a new heart, then when you sin you must be getting back your old heart, and then a minute later, when your temper dies down, you repent, and you get another new heart - regenerated, and then unregenerated, and then regenerated again.... It is not beyond God, nothing is of course, but neither is the possibility that you can sin and be held accountable for it and still He will remember your sin no more. Great questions, I encourage you to call in to the show tomorrow and talk with us live. We won't bite too hard. Just kidding, we really hope you will call.

David, how have you 'scientifically measured' what you suppose about open air preachers? Have you seen all the preachers there are to see?
Kureji, thanks for you honest post, very refreshing for someone who has not trusted Jesus yet. God bless you, may you do that soon.
David, aren't a hypocrite by your own arbitrary standard?
Do you think 'intelligence' = wisdom?
God says that wisdom starts with the fear of Him. Apparently, you don't have that fear = your foolishness
Do you think you have ALL knowledge? Do you maybe have 10% of ALL knowledge?

apparel c.1250, "to equip (in any way)," from O.Fr. apareillier, from V.L. *appariculare, from L. apparare "prepare, make ready" (see apparatus), or from V.L. *ad-particulare "to put things together." The meaning "to attire in proper clothing" is from 1362; noun sense of "personal outfit or attire" is from 1330. wardrobe 1387, "room where wearing apparel is kept," earlier "a private chamber" (c.1300), from O.N.Fr. warderobe, variant of O.Fr. garderobe "place where garments are kept," from warder "to keep, guard" (see ward (v.)) + robe "garment" (see robe). Meaning "a person's stock of clothes for wearing" is recorded from c.1400. Sense of "movable closed cupboard for wearing apparel" is recorded from 1794. Meaning "room in which theatrical costumes are kept" is attested from 1711. gear c.1205, "equipment," from O.N. gervi "apparel," related to gerr "ready," and gerva "make ready," from P.Gmc. *garwin- (cf. O.E. gearwe; O.H.G. garawi "clothing, dress," garawen "to make ready;" Ger. gerben "to tan"), from PIE *garw-. Meaning of "toothed wheel in machinery" first attested 1523. Slang for "male sex organs" from 1675. British slang sense of "stylish, excellent" first recorded 1951, from earlier that's the gear, expression of approval, 1925. www.etymonline.com/index.php?search=apparel&searchmode=noneThis is more modern english than the celts, notice before 1611 The Gr. katastolç G2687 1) to send or put down, to lower 2) to put or keep down one who is roused or incensed, to repress, restrain, appease, quiet To say this word means a woman has to wear a dress is a bit beyond the Greek meaning of this word. The men and women wore tunics in that culture. I think the key here is modesty. I did find some verses that I thought to be interesting to this topic. Bro. Micah mentioned not wearing shorts for men or women while preaching.(that is another thread) Here goes: Ex 28:40-42 "For Aaron's sons you shall make tunics, and you shall make sashes for them. And you shall make hats for them, for glory and beauty. "So you shall put them on Aaron your brother and on his sons with him. You shall anoint them, consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister to Me as priests. "And you shall make for them linen trousers to cover their nakedness; they shall reach from the waist to the thighs. A simple reading of this indicates they were wearing shorts called trousers under their tunics. Is there anyone that gets something different than that? Now before anyone gets in a tizzy, I know we are not these Hebrew priests. But we are servants of the great High priest! Here we see the priests wore shorts, under their tunics. Apparently, God thinks it is okay just to cover from the waist to the knee. I have worn shorts, but never a tunic. Any preachers out there worn a tunic? I have heard about this no preaching in shorts issue before, I still don't understand it. Maybe someone can better clarify what the following terms mean: 1. modesty 2. dress 3. tunic 4. trousers

Can you imagine God's view of all this rebellion? I watch these videos and I could practically see the demonic influence all over these crowds.

What did they say about Jesus? Matt 11:18-20 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil. The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man gluttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children. Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not: If you profess Christ, David why do you exhort Micah publically and not privately? If you profess Christ, do you preach Christ publically? Did you ask the brother to forgive you as you should by your public unjust rebuke? Judge righteous judgment, not according to appearance. John 7:24 Wow you guys never fail to fail huh? I guess standing on a street corner and in the middle of a college campus and seeing some guy with long hair automatically makes them a hippie who doesn't conform because he is worshiping satan is righteous judgment then huh? Yeah it is okay for you guys to judge others unjustly but it isn't okay for me? That is just like a street ranter...........being hypocritical. BTW it is publicly..........not publically. I hate to point out spelling errors, but I just couldn't resist pointing it out even if it is an obnoxious thing to do.....but then again.......ya know the earrings in my ears and heavy metal rock music made me do it. (Oh yeah that is right. I don't have earrings in my ears.) You guys need to stop hiding behind a book and misinterpreting it and start using your minds to figure out the gray...........because no matter how much you want it to be life is not black and white. What do you mean by failing? Do you mean sinning? Are you judging me? Where does judgment come from? Why do you think you can borrow from my worldview to do it? The Bible teaches a spiritual man, that is me, judges all things, and is judged by no one. (that is you, sinner) You mock the gospel and the ones that try and bring you the truth to your own destruction, very sad really. But, God holds you in derision, did I spell that right? By your own profession of mockery you don't believe, the book we hide behind. Thus, you are guilty by a Holy and Righteous God who will command His angels to bind you hand and feet and cast you into a lake of fire forever. What if I asked what your name was...(you answer) David. I'm sorry what was your name... (you answer) David. I respond, "I DON'T BELIEVE YOU!" That is similar to what you do with God. Do you see how offensive that must be to God when He has shown mercy to you and yet you shake your fist at Him and His Name? God demonstrated His love for you while you were a sinner(criminal), Christ died for you. Repent or Perish!

Joe is it your position that God has limited foreknowledge?
Is the falling away here concerning individual or a group prophecy? And if it is individuals that God knows, how does that relate to the freewill of man unless they are reprobated by falling away?
2 Thess 2: 1-4 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
Thanks, John

Great testimony brother. I had a dream before I started wearing sandwich boards five or six years ago. I did not understand it then but I do now. I was watching a preacher in a sandwich board, he got beat up and handed it to me, then I got beat up. Hmmmm. I was trying to remember, but I think even after I was accosted, I think I continued to endure. I pray that would be the case if I ever face a true physical pounding.

Yes, the poll can be answered for the place where you are currently ministering. In a culture like yours and ours where we have the freedom to do such things we should not ignore the obvious advantages of publishing the gospel this way.
Now in Saudi Arabia, we would get our heads chopped off. If the Lord is leading one to do that then so be it. If America suddenly changed it's constitution, then I would have to take the heat whatever that might be. This is where and how the Lord has led me to proclaim His righteousness and His gospel.

Brother, I was duped into this false teaching for years, and I studied and could not come to conclusion on the matter. I believe in the resurrection! Some to righteousness, and most to unrighteousness. Those that are alive will be caught up in the air, this is at the final trump, Jesus has been revealed at that moment. The day of mercy is over, the Day of the Lord has come! The Holy Spirit being taken away that He would not do any more work on the unbelieving world. We will have the seal of the Holy Spirit, but that does not necessarily mean what you are implying. Jesus said, Follow me and I promise you, trials, temptations, and tribulations. He did not say that He would get us out of the end times. I agree God's wrath will not affect the believer, they will occupy till He comes, yet will not be affected by His anger. The wrath of the anti-Christ is another matter. We will have our heads chopped off for refusing the mark of the beast. Kind of reminds me of the first 3 centuries of Christianity.
